Waterbomb Festival is returning to Hong Kong this summer, and going to Macau for the first time

We've been itching to go to a music festival soon, and Waterbomb has finally answered our prayers, announcing confirmation of their Hong Kong dates this year. This festival originates from South Korea, and is well-known for being a water party with liberal use of water guns on top of a music festival, so be prepared to get soaked. Mark your calendars for October 4 and 5, as Waterbomb will be taking over the Central Harbourfront. The 2025 lineup has yet to be confirmed, but last year saw major Korean artists like Rain, Jay Park, Loco, Gray, Jessi, StayC, PH-1, and more perform on our stage, so this edition is bound to be pretty stellar as well. If you're planning on going, log onto their Instagram and comment who you'd like to see at the festival in their artist wishlist post – and hopefully with enough fan support, you'll get to see your favourite musicians live in Hong Kong. This year also marks the first time ever that the Waterbomb Festival is going to Macau. The precise venue hasn't been confirmed yet, but the dates are coming up soon next month, on August 9 to 10. Ticket information for both events will be released soon, so check this space. We're keeping our fingers crossed that this year the festival's queues will be managed better – and also praying that we won't be hit by a typhoon during the event again!

DOLLA To Perform As Guest Artist For NMIXX's Upcoming KL Concert

Earlier this month, it was announced that K-pop girl group NMIXX (엔믹스) will be coming to Malaysia this August. Ticket sales are set to go live tomorrow (Wednesday, 16th July) at 12pm, and we're confident fans have already set their reminders to secure their seats online. To make the upcoming show even more exciting, it's been revealed that a certain Malaysian girl group will be sharing the stage with the K-pop idols. As you may have already guessed, it's none other than DOLLA! Yesterday (Monday, 14th July), LOL Asia announced that our very own DOLLA will be the special guest artist for the upcoming NMIXX: K-Wave Super Concert. 'What's a 'Super Concert' without another Bo$$ Up girl group? That's right, DOLLA is officially joining the K-Wave Super Concert stage as the Featured Act! Our very own Malaysian queens are ready to light up the stage alongside @nmixx_official & it's going to be a night of charisma, vocals & full-on girl energy!,' the caption reads. This isn't the first time the local girl group has been invited as a guest act at a K-pop concert. The girls previously shared the stage with Jay Park during his 'Serenades & Body Rolls' tour in Kuala Lumpur. The trio and the singer performed 'MOMMAE' together and even took part in the 'MWA' dance challenge backstage. Member Angel expressed her excitement about the upcoming concert with NMIXX on Twitter, saying, 'Yay!! Such an honour to share a stage with NMIXX !! can't wait to see you all 🥰'. Since the announcement, fans have continued to show their support for DOLLA, celebrating the group's growing success and rising fame. While we're certain they'll perform some of their biggest hits, we're also hoping to see them join NMIXX for a song during the concert — or perhaps even a 'K-pop Demon Hunters' cover together? There's no telling what might happen, but while we wait for the big day, check out DOLLA's dance cover of 'Golden' from the Netflix animated film: Sources: Twitter (1)(2)

Jillian Ward got to dance with Jay Park!

Jillian Ward just did a dance challenge with none other than Jay Park! As seen in her latest IG Reel, The Kapuso actress grooved to the 'Wall to Wall' trend with the South Korean artist. Jay Park is in Manila for his Serenades and Body Rolls concert tour on Saturday. He's famously known for being part of the K-pop group 2PM from 2008 to 2010. After leaving the group in 2010 due to controversies, he pursued a solo career. Park then founded his own independent hip-hop record label called AOMG (Above Ordinary Music Group) and later another label called H1GHR MUSIC. These labels have signed several prominent artists in the Korean hip-hop scene such as Got7's Yugyeom. Meanwhile, Jillian last starred in 'Mga Batang Riles' and 'My Ilonggo Girl.' —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News

(Video) From Twerking With DOLLA To Surprise Guest Yuna: 5 Highlights From Jay Park's KL Concert

The one and only Jay Park (박재범) was recently in Malaysia for his 'Serenades & Body Rolls' tour. The concert took place at Zepp KL on 14th June, and prior to the performance, we had the opportunity to chat with the singer about his latest album, 'The One You Wanted'. The KL concert proved to be a huge success, with many moments from the show going viral on social media. Since plenty happened both onstage and backstage, here are some of our personal favourite highlights: Twerking with DOLLA As you may know, Jay Park invited Malaysian girl group DOLLA as one of his guest artists to perform at his show. The trio joined him onstage during 'MOMMAE', where they and the idol twerked to the song, and, as you can hear from the video above, fans went wild. 'MWA' Challenge with DOLLA Not only did DOLLA go viral for their twerking performance with Jay Park onstage, but backstage, the group also managed to get the singer to take part in their 'MWA' dance challenge. The 38-year-old performed a simplified version of the challenge with the members, but it was more than enough to get fans excited about the unexpected collaboration. 3. Yuna made a surprise appearance It turns out Jay invited someone other than Joe Flizzow and DOLLA to join him at his KL concert. Fans screamed with excitement when singer-songwriter Yuna made a surprise appearance, joining the K-pop idol onstage to perform their 2019 duet, 'Does She'. The performance instantly went viral on social media, with many expressing that their dream of seeing the duo perform the song live had finally come true. 4. 'Dah Makan Ke Belum?' & 'Aku Cina Kamu' Of course, whenever an international star visits or performs in Malaysia, they often try to learn a few phrases in the national language. Some fans taught the idol how to say 'Have you eaten?' in Malay, and many were delighted to see him making the effort, even if he struggled a little with the pronunciation. Another moment that went viral was when he meant to say 'Aku cinta kamu' to his fans, but accidentally said 'Aku Cina kamu' instead — much to the amusement of many, who found the honest mistake endearing. 5. 'I Love Fat Ass Too' You can always count on fans to bring creative (and sometimes unhinged) signs or placards to their favourite artist's concert. One fan probably had the best night ever after Jay Park noticed their sign and asked if he could show it to the audience. As seen in the video above, the sign read, 'I love a fat ass too,' a cheeky reference to his song 'Need To Know'. He then joked to the crowd about how deep the lyrics are and expressed surprise that no one was crying while listening to it. Which was your favourite moment from the show?
