Dramatic video of bull tossing man highlights safety concerns
LIVING alongside cattle for many, many millenia, humans can attest to the great many benefits these gentle giants provide. But at times, these creatures do have their way of reminding their human handlers how devastating they can be if they so choose. A recent video by netizen @bckupacc99 highlights this point in stark detail where a man could be seen flying into the air, being charged by the bull he was handling. Ya Allah harap pakcik tu baik-baik saja 🥺 — ًِ (@bckupacc99) July 15, 2025 Even better was the music embedded alongside the video, stating that nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday. The brief video did not provide further information, such as the location of the scene or the condition of the man. However, we are certain the man is not experiencing a Jet 2 holiday from that charge, looking at those long, sharp horns. But it does show how dangerous and unpredictable a bull can be. For a better perspective, website sanfermin said the energy of a charging bull is more than four tons. According to the University of Minnesota, it is vital to remember that even 'nice' bulls that were bottle-fed as calves can get more aggressive with age. Readers were advised not to turn their back on a bull even if they think it is not paying attention. And that was exactly what the man in the video did before he got catapulted into the air. 'Be constantly vigilant whenever there is a bull around. Pay attention to the bull's body language. They will turn broadside to present their size and power, and watch for signs of aggression such as pawing at the ground,' said the website, adding that bulls can and will attack unprovoked. The website further reminded that bulls, just like all cattle, are prey species. When scared, bulls can unintentionally hurt humans working with them due to their size and strength. With a casual toss of its head, a bull can send a gate hurtling back at the cattle handler. Also, a running bull brushing the handler can cause serious injury. —July 15, 2025 Main image: @bckupacc99 (X)

Jet2 staff leave size 12 mum in tears after asking 'personal question' before flight
The 37-year-old was going to board the early morning flight from Edinburgh Airport with her parents and three-year-old daughter. A Scots mum claims she was left in tears while boarding a flight to Ibiza with her family due to a member of Jet2 staff asking a personal question. Claire King. from Fife, was heading away on holiday for the first time in 11 years on June 7 when she was allegedly taken to one side by a male member of staff and asked if she 'was expecting'. The 37-year-old who is a size 12 was going to board the early morning flight from Edinburgh Airport with her parents and three-year-old daughter. She said the bus was 'packed' when she got on with her family before she spotted the staff member, who'd checked her passport at the boarding gate, walking towards her. The patient care advisor, who's a size 12-14, claims he ushered her off the bus and 'looked her up and down' before asking her if she was 'expecting'. Claire burst into tears before boarding the plane, claiming it 'put a dampener' on the holiday. The mum-of-one was wearing a t-shirt and floaty trousers and says she's since 'studied herself' in the mirror wearing the same clothes and doesn't think she looks pregnant. After having four miscarriages before conceiving her daughter, Claire says no woman should be asked the question if there is any doubt whether she is pregnant or not. Jet2 have apologised to Claire and said sometimes their teams are 'required to ask customers questions for health and safety reasons before a flight' and the colleague involved 'will undergo retraining to ensure this does not happen again'. Claire said: "He pulled me over and he said he'd been asked by his manager to come over and ask me if I was expecting. At the same time he kind of looked me up and down. "I looked at him in complete disbelief because it wasn't a question that I expected to come out of his mouth. I just stared at him and it was almost like I was speechless. "I didn't really know what to say. At that point I turned around and I was like 'is that a serious question?' He just looked at me and put his hands up and was like 'okay, that's all I needed to know. Enjoy your holiday', and walked away. "We were still standing there in disbelief looking at each other as if to be like 'what the hell just happened, what was that?'. "We were escorted back to the bus. The doors closed and as we started to drive up towards the plane, I could feel myself welling up. I could feel myself getting emotional. I started crying before we'd even got on the plane. "He gave no reasoning. There was no explanation given as to why he even asked that question, what prompted the question, or how he came to that conclusion. "He said that he has been asked by his manager to come down - whether that is true I have no idea, I've got no evidence to confirm that." After giving birth to her daughter three years ago, Claire says she 'carries a bit of timber', but is grateful for her body which gave her 'the greatest gift'. Claire said: "For me personally I'm not happy with my body but I'm beyond happy that it's given me the greatest gift that I could ask for. "At the same time it was my first holiday in 11 years, it was my daughter's first holiday, you do have that self-conscious awareness of yourself and your own body. "I was about to put my body into a swimsuit, perhaps into tighter fitting clothes, you do have that doubt. But for somebody to then come up and ask you that question, it does just make you think 'do I really look like that? Is that how I look?'. "It rocks your self confidence and for the first couple of days of the holiday I was very aware and it did put a dampener on the start of it which was not how this holiday was meant to be." If there are any doubts that a woman is pregnant, Claire says the question shouldn't be asked. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! She added: "I think that for any woman whether you can conceive naturally, struggle to conceive or you need a little bit of help, or your decision is that you just don't want children, it doesn't really matter. "There are woman out there who sadly and unfortunately do struggle to conceive or maybe they've just made the decision that they don't want children. For me I did struggle to conceive my child, I'd gone through four miscarriages before I had her. "I've now made the decision that I don't want any more children for that simple reason and also because I have the greatest gift that I could ask for. Nobody knows behind the scenes what's going on with other women - you never know what the background story is. "It's the principle of being asked that question indefinitely by anybody. If you're unsure whether a woman is pregnant or not you just shouldn't ask that question." A Jet2 spokesman said: "We would like to reiterate our sincere apologies to Ms King, which our team have also done directly. "The colleague in question is aware that this was not handled in an appropriate manner and is undergoing retraining to ensure it does not happen again. "Whilst our teams might sometimes be required to ask customers questions for health and safety reasons before a flight, they are trained to handle this in an appropriate manner, and we recognise that this did not happen on this isolated occasion."

Jet2 apologises after staff asked if woman was pregnant

Jet2 voiceover woman is actually a soap star and fans are 'rocked to the core'
Jess Glynne isn't the only celeb who features on the Jet2 adverts and fans of Hollyoaks, Midsomer Murders and Staff Room will certainly recognise the voice when they're told! TV viewers have been 'rocked to their core' after discovering that the cheery Jet2 holidays voiceover woman is a former soap star. The incessant ads - which famously push bargain deals to the soundtrack of Jess Glynne 's hit song Hold My Hand - have been running for years, but many have only just learned who is informing us about the offers. The lady who is enthusiastically telling is that 'nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' is Zoe Lister, a former regular on Hollyoaks. She played Zoe Carpenter on the Channel 4 soap from 2006 to 2010, before making a brief return in April 2017. Now she's got a very different life, and earns cash by telling us all about the sun-soaked trips would could be taking. The 43-year-old actress has also had roles in Midsomer Murders and Staff Room. It all came to light after That's TV Thames Valley interviewed her this weekend. On X they wrote: "A Maidenhead woman has become a viral sensation as hundreds of thousands of people use her voice in social media videos. That's TV spoke with Zoë Lister, the voice of the Jet2 promotion video, advertising package holidays." Fans were quick to release where they knew her from, and she explained how the the voiceover work was initially only for a 'small campaign' which begun during the Love Island partnership four years ago. She said: "I was just employed to do the bumpers, like, something to do with 'Get a flight if you enter this competition', that sort of thing. "Then they were like, 'Oh, actually, we'll have your voice for the whole campaign'. And that's just been rolling ever since every year, which has been incredible. It feels like silly joy, which is what people need right now, I think. It's not serious, it's light hearted.' "It feels so bizarre, but I do love it, because people are sending me videos all the time,' she said. 'I love the creativity. People are just really funny. For the next generation, the generation Z that has made it what it is, it reminds them of days gone by adverts, when they were little." The responses showed the shock from fans. "I'm sorry – Zoe Carpenter from Hollyoaks is *the* Jet2 lady!? Did we all know this??" one wrote as another put: '"This revelation has rocked me to my core." A third person said: "The woman from the most iconic parachute jump scene in living history? Oh my daysssss." Fans of Jess who have flown with the budget airline will also know they play the song on repeat before takeoff, to the annoyance of many passengers. But the singer from London mocked her own tune by posing a video to Twitter from her performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2023. The 35-year-old captioned the video: "Who's ready for me to ruin their summer holiday?". Filmed by someone in the crowd, the clip shows Jess on stage saying: "Welcome to Jess Glynne Airways," before she goes into the intro of Hold My Hand, to massive cheers from the crowd.
