Linkin Park Doubles Its Presence On The Rock Chart As Several Classics Return

Linkin Park scores half a dozen hits on the U.K.'s Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, as "What ... More I've Done," "One Step Closer," and "Somewhere I Belong" all return. The group began releasing previously unheard tunes in 2023 in the lead-up to a compilation titled Papercuts dropping. Then, just months later, the band revealed that, for the first time in more than half a decade, newly-written and recorded music was on the way. From Zero, the Grammy-winning act's comeback set, arrived in late 2024 and was bolstered by several huge heavy rock smashes. While many of the tracks featured on the band's most recent project have largely faded, that only makes more room for the classics — several of which return this week. At the moment, Linkin Park fills six spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, which ranks the bestselling titles in those styles throughout the U.K. Impressively, half of those cuts climb from where they sat last time around, while the other three reappear on the list. The three highest-ranking from the band are the ones that didn't need to mount a comeback. "Numb" is the winner this week as it returns to the top 10, jumping from No. 11 to No. 8. It's followed closely by "The Emptiness Machine" at No. 13 and "Faint" at No. 29. "What I've Done," "One Step Closer," and "Somewhere I Belong" round out the group's smashes at the moment. Those songs reenter the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart at Nos. 30, 38, and 39, respectively. Four of Linkin Park's current hits have ruled the Official Rock & Metal Singles ranking, while both "Faint" and "One Step Closer" have previously peaked at No. 3. The disparity between the newest of the bunch and the longest-charting from Linkin Park – unlike the difference in peak positions – is massive. "The Emptiness Machine" has racked up just 39 stays so far, but it will continue to add to that sum for a while. "Numb," meanwhile, only needs one more month before it reaches 900 weeks on the tally. Linkin Park's catalog is always popular in the U.K., but at the moment, the group's music is doing especially well thanks, in part, to an upcoming visit to the nation. Linkin Park is on its From Zero World Tour, which kicked off in 2024 and is expected to run into June of 2026. In late June, the group will revisit London, playing at Wembley Stadium, and in just a few days, the outfit will be back in Europe, crisscrossing across the continent.

Linkin Park Held Back From Returning To No. 1 With New Deluxe Album

Linkin Park's From Zero returns to multiple charts in the U.K. following its deluxe reissue, and it ... More almost hits No. 1 on one list, but Bury Tomorrow wins. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 17: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) (L-R) Emily Armstrong, Joe Hahn, Mike Shinoda, and Colin Brittain of Linkin Park attend the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 17, 2025. Broadcasted live on FOX. (Photo byfor iHeartRadio) Linkin Park's comeback album From Zero is a major commercial success again in the United Kingdom this week, thanks to a huge uptick in interest, which was sparked by the release of a deluxe edition of the title. The reissue has led to a growth in both streams and sales of the beloved hard rock effort. From Zero, which originally dropped in fall 2024, currently appears on seven U.K. charts. It reenters four of them and climbs on the rest. The bestselling project nearly hits No. 1 on one tally, but is blocked from the top spot by some hometown favorites. From Zero rockets from No. 10 to No. 2 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Linkin Park nearly reclaims control of the genre-specific ranking, which focuses solely on the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in rock and metal, but the group misses out on doing so, as a brand new entry keeps the band from landing at No. 1. English metalcore outfit Bury Tomorrow debuts its new release Will You Haunt Me, with That Same Patience in first place. The project becomes the group's fourth leader on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart and seventh top 10 win, which accounts for the entirety of the band's charting successes. While From Zero doesn't reclaim the throne on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, it has already enjoyed a hugely successful run there. The set opened at No. 1 in late November 2024 and held the top spot for eight consecutive frames. In the more than six months since its arrival, it has fallen outside the top 10 only once. Linkin Park pushes its latest full-length back onto four tallies this week, driven by a surge in total consumption, and, seemingly, particularly in sales. The project reenters the top 10 on both the Official Album Downloads and Official Vinyl Albums rankings, landing at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively. It also finds its way back to the Official Albums list and the Official Albums Streaming roster. While not charting as high on those rankings, From Zero comes in at Nos. 23 and 65, respectively, after not appearing on either of those rosters just a short time ago. There are three charts where From Zero doesn't need to return, including the Official Rock & Metal Albums ranking. Linkin Park also climbs back into the top 10 on both the Official Albums Sales list (No. 6) and the Official Physical Albums roster (No. 7), jumping more than 60 spots on each.

Linkin Park's Catalog Grows Ahead Of An Exciting Re-Release

Linkin Park charts four albums in the U.K. this week, with From Zero and Hybrid Theory landing on ... More three charts each and Papercuts leading overall. (Photo byfor iHeartRadio) Next week, Linkin Park's From Zero will likely surge on charts around the world. The rock band dropped the deluxe edition of the collection on Friday (May 16), and fans are already streaming the full release again — and some are sure to purchase another copy as ell. The title was supported by several new singles, including "Up From the Bottom" and "Unshatter," both of which became at least minor global hits. In anticipation of the expanded edition, several standouts from Linkin Park's catalog are already climbing in the United Kingdom, and the coming frame could be even more impressive for the Grammy-winning act. This week, four of Linkin Park's albums appear on U.K. musical rankings. All but one of them are featured on multiple tallies, and two are tied with three placements apiece. In every case, the band's efforts are ascending. While From Zero is not currently the group's top-performing title, it is tied with Hybrid Theory — Linkin Park's debut full-length — for the greatest number of appearances. Both sets are featured on three tallies each: the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, as well as the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. On the latter, both projects are living inside the top 10. Hybrid Theory rebounds from No. 13 to No. 10, while From Zero climbs from No. 10 to No. 8. Papercuts – Singles Collection 2000–2023 currently gives Linkin Park its highest placements overall. It's the only release of the bunch to appear on the Official Albums chart — the all-genre top 100 list of the most popular full-lengths and EPs in the U.K. On that tally, it holds at No. 25. While sales appear to be powering From Zero and Hybrid Theory, streaming activity is fueling the ongoing success of Papercuts. The compilation is the lone title from the band present on the Official Albums Streaming list, where it bumps up one spot to No. 17. Linkin Park's sophomore effort Meteora may be present on only one ranking, but it still makes meaningful progress. The early-career win leaps four rungs to No. 33 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, which ranks the bestselling titles in those styles alone.
