TV reality star Jojo Robinson reflects on Season 5 of RHOD and how much she has grown since joining the show. Now that Season 5 has wrapped, how do you feel about it? Apart from a few hard things, I enjoyed this season. I loved getting to know the new girls. How have you changed since your first season? I am literally a whole new person. I'm always happy and grateful to meet anyone who loves the show. Who is the most surprising celebrity you've connected with because of the show? Where would I even start? Through this journey, I've met most of our celebrities, and honestly, it would be hard to pick just one. I absolutely love Khanyi Mbau. We speak often and get compared to being sisters a lot. The time we spent together, I saw as sisterhood, and I'm grateful for that. I wish her nothing but love and peace. What do you hope for the group moving forward? To maintain peace, find real healing for those who need it, and continue to grow as a group. As hectic as we all are together, it's our little bond. If there was a Season 6, who would be in your dream cast? I think it's best we let the professionals decide on whoever they think is best suited. If Season 5 were a cosmetic procedure, what would it be and why? A tummy tuck, painful AF, but worth it in the end.

RHOD Jojo and Nonku Williams rekindle their friendship

After a dramatic fallout, Nonku Williams and Jojo Robinson have finally put their differences aside and made amends - and the dynamic 'Joku' duo is back! The duo has been a fan favourite since Jojo's entry in season 2 of Real Housewives of Durban. Viewers were immediately drawn to their bond, and the two quickly became one of the show's most beloved friendships. However, their friendship hasn't been without its challenges. Over the years, they've experienced their fair share of dark and bright moments, with some seasons and episodes showcasing a deep and abiding friendship, while others highlighted the cracks in their bond. Read more | Jojo Robinson pens heartfelt farewell to friendship with Nonku Williams: 'I forgive you' Despite Jojo's efforts to keep their friendship afloat, social media users often insinuated that the love in the friendship was one-sided. Fellow cast members like Sorisha Naidoo even referred to Jojo as Nonku's 'back-up singer,' implying that Jojo was always the one making an effort to maintain their relationship, while Nonku seemed less invested. This perception was further fuelled by Nonku's seemingly casual attitude towards their friendship - one particular incident was during their Mauritius trip when they had an altercation and instead of fixing things together, she went and locked herself in the room while Jojo exhausted all options to try and fix things. This revelation left Jojo heartbroken and led to a tearful and emotional reunion. Jojo explained that she felt that Nonku's words diminished the deep bond they shared, which she likened to a sisterly relationship. The aftermath was intense, with Jojo taking to Instagram to express her pain and ultimately posting an emotional farewell message to their friendship, while Nonku seemed to move on quickly, embracing a new friendship with Beverly Steyn from Real Housewives of Cape Town, citing their shared faith as a foundation for their bond. However, recently, Nonku took to Instagram to address the controversy surrounding her 'surface-level' comment, claiming it was taken out of context. She further expressed her 'commitment' to reconciling with Jojo, and it appears that her efforts paid off. In a heartwarming turn of events, Jojo posted a video on Instagram showing the two friends reuniting, hugging, and laughing together. The video, set to Eminem's 'Without me,' featured the lyrics 'guess who's back? Back again?' perfectly capturing the essence of their reunion. Jojo captioned the post, 'When you just ended a friendship publicly 7 days ago.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by JoJo Robinson (@

RHOD's Nonku Williams on friendship ‘misunderstanding' with Jojo Robinson

Reality TV fans were shocked to see the supposed end of 'JoKu'. The Real Housewives of Durban viewers saw cracks in stars Nonku Williams and Jojo Robinson's five-year friendship when Nonku referred to her friendship with Jojo as 'surface level' at the end of the show's fifth season in relation to Nonku's faith. After weeks of fans speculating and social media unfollows, both Jojo and Nonku have taken to their respective social media accounts to address the fallout. READ MORE | In Nonku's 'heartfelt message', she apologises for the 'surface level' comment. She writes, 'The truth is, I tend to be very blunt in how I express myself, and I'm actively working on being more mindful and gentle in my delivery. When Londie and I were having that conversation, I was trying to articulate how, as I've grown spiritually, there are certain parts of my life I now approach differently. It's not because I don't value Jojo or our friendship, in fact, it's quite the opposite. 'Jojo and I have shared many heartfelt conversations, both on and off camera, and she knows that our journey have been filled with love, laughter, and real connection. But my spiritual walk has simply led me into a season where I hold some things closer, and I'm still learning how to express that without causing hurt.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nonku Williams (@nonku_williams) Nonku's message comes a few days after Jojo broke her silence to address their fallout. In Jojo's social media post, she wrote, 'I understand that you are going in a different direction and I hope one day we get to talk again in person.. but for now because I know someone will send this to you. Know that im grateful for you.. im grateful for what you meant in this life to me and I will always remember that regardless of what happened we always had each other and now maybe it is time for us to start our journey as just nonku and jojo not joku anymore. 'I forgive you and I'm also sorry for any part I played that upset you to.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by JoJo Robinson (@ Nonku acknowledged that Jojo brings out a playful and childlike side to her. She also clarified that her saying that she isn't able to tell Jojo everything happening in her life on the show meant that their friendship had it's own dynamic outside of Nonku's spirituality. The reality star and author revealed that she has reached out to Jojo, 'and we're planning to meet soon,' Nonku shared. 'I want her and everyone to know that our friendship is still important to me. I'm committed to nurturing it, and I hope we can reach a place of mutual understanding and respect.'

'I believe it's my duty to spread the word about Christ, and I couldn't compromise on that. Unfortunately, our differences led to misunderstandings and blame being placed on others,' she told "News24". Robinson took to her Instagram on Wednesday and wrote an emotional post. She acknowledged the realness of their friendship and expressed regret over the issues that led to their estrangement. 'Seeing comments on social media saying this friendship didn't matter, it was for work, is really hard to see. It was very real and it was filled with love and sisterhood,' she wrote. Robinson wished Williams peace and love, reminiscing on the good moments they shared together while also acknowledging their differences. 'I hope you find peace and love with whoever you choose in this life. I loved every second we spent together, and I'm forever grateful for the friendship we shared and the fact that you were a big part of my journey in this life. "I understand that you are going in a different direction, and I hope one day we get to talk again in person,' she wrote. Additionally, she also expressed that while they have always had each other as friends, it is time for them to take different paths and have their own journeys as individuals instead of a duo. Robinson also took the opportunity to apologise to Williams for any part she may have played in their fallout. 'I forgive you and I'm also sorry for any part I played that upset you,' she said. She also expressed her gratitude for the time they spent together, saying, 'I loved every second we spent together and I'm forever grateful for the friendship we shared.' Alongside her apology, Robinson shared a nostalgic Instagram reel filled with pictures and videos of the two friends in happier times. In closing, Robinson thanked the fans who supported and believed in them through their journey as friends. Over the five years, the pair's friendship had often faced scrutiny as they were accused of not being genuine with each other and the authenticity of their bond.
