‘Akshay Kumar Snatched My Phone': Fan Shares His Side Of Story After Actor's Viral Angry Video

Last Updated: A video of Akshay Kumar losing his cool at a fan recording him without his permission in London went viral a few days ago. Now, the fan has shared his version of the story. Akshay Kumar was recently vacationing in London, and a video showing him getting angry at a fan for recording him without permission went viral on social media. However, the video then showed him posing with the fan for a selfie. Now, the fan has shared a video sharing his side of the story. He claimed that the actor snatched his phone and told him not to take photos or videos since he was busy. After that, Akshay returned his phone, and agreed to click a picture with him. The fan said that there was no big issue, and called Akshay a really nice guy. The fan shared a new video, in which he said, 'I was standing at the signal on Oxford Street when I saw someone who I thought was Akshay Kumar. To verify, I decided to follow him. First, I took a video from behind. Then, when I tried to record from the front, he saw me, came closer, and directly snatched my phone. Maybe he was busy at the time. He pulled the phone from my hand and also grabbed my hand." The fan said that Akshay Kumar later returned the phone, and also had a friendly chat with him. 'He (Akshay Kumar) said, 'Sorry beta, I'm busy right now, please don't disturb me and don't take my photo or video.' I told him, 'You could've said that politely. Now please give me my phone back.' After that, Akshay Kumar returned my phone and asked me where I'm from and what I'm doing here. In the end, he even agreed to take a picture with me. There wasn't any major issue between us. He was actually a really nice guy. He looked like he was only 35-40 years old," said the fan. The fan video went viral on social media. A section of netizens criticized the fan for following and recording Akshay Kumar without his permission, and stating the need for respecting privacy. Meanwhile, a source shared a contradictory version, saying the sequence of events in the viral video is inaccurate. Speaking about the viral video, a source said, 'The actor obliged the fan, who was a delivery boy, with a selfie, but he continued following him. The incident showcased a starstruck fan who followed Akshay Kumar despite being clicked with him, however, the order of the viral video is incorrect. Akshay had already clicked images with the fan first. Regardless of this, he was followed by the delivery boy on his scooty and was recorded incessantly." From OMG 2 To Criminal Justice, Top 5 Courtroom Dramas Streaming Now On OTT

Last Updated: Discover 5 compelling courtroom dramas and movies on OTT—from Jolly LLB to OMG 2—that bring justice, satire, and powerful storytelling to your screen. Indian cinema has always thrived on the thunder of courtroom dialogues — from Sunny Deol's iconic roar of 'Taarikh pe Taarikh!" to Arshad Warsi's deadpan satire in Jolly LLB. There's something irresistible about legal dramas — the pressure-cooker atmosphere of the courtroom, the slow-burn revelations, and the sheer thrill of truth battling power. If you're a fan of edge-of-the-seat testimonies, intense cross-examinations, or courtroom chaos that's both heartwarming and hilarious, here are five courtroom-centric gems streaming across OTT platforms that are sure to deliver a gripping watch: 1. Kyo Kii… Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta – Prime Video Govinda brings chaos and charm to this David Dhawan comedy with a courtroom twist. As Raj Malhotra, a lawyer who lies his way to the top, Govinda's world flips when his young son wishes he could only speak the truth — and poof, the wish comes true. What follows is pure madness in the courtroom as he's forced to argue cases without bending facts. With laugh-out-loud moments and a surprisingly poignant ending, this one flips the legal genre on its head. 2. Criminal Justice: A Family Matter (Season 4) – JioCinema (Hotstar) Pankaj Tripathi returns as the unassuming yet brilliant Madhav Mishra in a season that delves into the shadows of a seemingly perfect family. When a nurse is murdered, emotions, betrayals, and secrets spill out in court. Tripathi's understated power and the show's layered storytelling make this a binge-worthy legal drama where every witness could be lying — or telling the brutal truth. 3. All The Best Pandya – ShemarooMe A Gujarati courtroom comedy that surprises with its warmth. When a father's honour is at stake, a son takes the matter to court — not to punish, but to protect. Set against a backdrop of generational clashes, the film weaves comedy and courtroom banter with heartfelt emotion. A delightful sleeper hit that leaves you smiling and introspecting. 4. OMG 2 – Netflix Part satire, part social reform, OMG 2 dares to take religion and education into the courtroom. When a teenager is expelled on charges of obscenity, his father (Pankaj Tripathi again) challenges the system with help from a divine guide (played by Akshay Kumar). It's not just about a case — it's about the stigma around sex education in India. Bold, timely, and emotionally moving, this film argues for truth with the sincerity of a prayer. 5. Jolly LLB – YouTube Before Jolly LLB 2 made headlines, this sleeper hit laid the foundation. Arshad Warsi shines as a lawyer chasing fame who finds himself taking on a powerful legal system after a tragic hit-and-run. Sharp writing, dark humour, and moments of quiet rebellion make Jolly LLB a courtroom classic that resonates even years later. These courtroom stories aren't just about legal technicalities — they capture the chaos of truth, the complexity of morality, and the raw human need for justice. Whether you're in it for a laugh, a good cry, or a wake-up call, justice is streaming near you. Court is in session. First Published: July 05, 2025, 19:58 IST

Huma Qureshi says not every item song has male gaze and objectification of women, some ‘celebrate the female form'

By HT Entertainment Desk | Written by Riya Sharma Jul 02, 2025 01:33 PM IST Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi is currently garnering praise for her dance number, Dil Thaam Ke in Rajkummar Rao's film Maalik. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Huma spoke about how she has been boxed into doing serious roles in Bollywood and shared her thoughts on item numbers being criticised for vulgarity and objectification of women. Huma Qureshi's still from her dance number Dil Thaam Ke from Maalik. Talking about the criticism surrounding item songs, Huma said, "Kuch gaane hote bhi hain jo bahut male gaze waale gaane hote hain (There are some songs that are clearly male gaze-driven). Where you know there is objectification of women, and it's being done for a purpose. And as a woman, you get that feeling 'galat jagah aa gaye' ('I've ended up in the wrong place'). But as far as you are talking about the song which is celebrating the female form, her sensuality and glamour, there's nothing wrong with it." Huma thinks that her choice of serious and intense roles at the beginning of her career stopped filmmakers from giving her a full-fledged dance number in films. She further talked about getting stereotyped and said, "I think why should people box me that you can only do intense film, you are only good or doing this. I am like, who made this rule? Why should I adhere to your idea of what I am good for? I can do this also and that too, and choose when I want to do what." Apart from a special appearance in Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar's Maalik, Huma will next be seen in the movie Jolly LLB 3. The black comedy legal drama film, written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, is the third instalment in the Jolly LLB series. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, and Annu Kapoor. The film will see a face-off between Akshay and Arshad and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 19.
