Jordan Armed Forces conduct three airdrops to deliver aid to Gaza Strip, one in cooperation with UAE - Jordan News
The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and the United Arab Emirates on Sunday conducted three airdrops to deliver humanitarian aid and food to several locations in the Gaza Strip. اضافة اعلان The airdrops were carried out by Royal Jordanian Air Force and UAE Air Force C-130 aircraft, carrying 25 tonnes of food and basic necessities, in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions facing the Strip. These airdrops are a continuation of Jordan's ongoing efforts, in cooperation with other countries and partner humanitarian organisations, to support the Palestinian people, and in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in order to alleviate humanitarian suffering and support the people of Gaza in overcoming the challenges imposed by the war. The JAF have carried out 127 airdrops since the war started, in addition to 267 airdrops conducted in cooperation with other countries. Airdrops represent an additional means to deliver aid within a short time, allowing for the provision of urgent humanitarian and relief aid to areas that are difficult to access. However, airdrops do not supplant the delivery of aid by land, as ground convoys are the primary, most effective, and prioritised means of delivering aid. The JAF continue to dispatch aid convoys by land in coordination with the JHCO, the World Food Programme, and the World Central Kitchen, with the number of convoys sent since the start of the war standing at 181, comprising 7,932 trucks. As part of the medical response in Gaza, Jordanian field hospitals in the north and south of the Strip continue to provide treatment to injured and sick Gazans. So far, more than 120,588 patients have received treatment at the field hospital in the north of Gaza, while 362,389 patients have been treated at the field hospital in the south. More than 36,000 major and minor surgeries have been performed at these hospitals, and their cadres have fitted 532 upper and lower limb prostheses for Gazan amputees as part of the Restoring Hope Initiative. Also within Jordan's humanitarian efforts in support of Gaza, 112 injured and sick children, accompanied by 241 family members, have been evacuated for treatment in Jordanian hospitals as part of the Jordan Medical Corridor initiative launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II, which aims to treat 2,000 sick children from Gaza.

Jordanian field hospital in Gaza begins supplying drinking water for Palestinians
AMMAN, July 10 (Xinhua) -- The Jordanian field hospital in northern Gaza has begun distributing 12,000 liters of drinking water daily to over 8,000 residents, in response to a severe water shortage in the strip, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Thursday. According to a JAF statement, the hospital extended a pipeline in accordance with strict technical and health standards to ensure a steady supply of clean drinking water. The hospital's commanding officer said that all water distributed undergoes laboratory testing by local authorities in Gaza to verify its safety and potability. The initiative comes as a deepening fuel crisis has forced the shutdown of 10 water wells in northern Gaza and is threatening the operation of 25 more, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on Wednesday.

Jordan Armed Forces evacuate new batch of child patients from Gaza - Jordan News
The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army on Wednesday implemented the sixth medical evacuation operation for child patients from Gaza, which included 23 patients, along with 47 family members, as part of the Jordan Medical Corridor initiative. اضافة اعلان Nineteen of the children will be receiving treatment at Jordanian private hospitals, accompanied by 40 from their families, while four patients will be evacuated to Türkiye for treatment, alongside seven family members, within international collaboration with Jordan's humanitarian efforts. The patients and their accompanying family members were evacuated in cooperation with Jordan's Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO). A total of 77 children and 169 family members have been medically evacuated by land and air to Jordan since the medical corridor initiative was launched. Jordan is keen to evacuate more child patients from Gaza and to expedite the process, but there are limitations due to technical and logistical challenges facing the WHO, as well as Israeli restrictions. The Jordan Medical Corridor initiative was launched in March this year upon Royal directives, in line with the Kingdom's steadfast role in supporting the people of Gaza.
