Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example
Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jordan Seaton has embraced his new leadership role at Colorado. The former five-star has become the face of the Buffs and leads by example. The latest request from his coaches shows his growth over the past year. CU strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey challenged the team to become 'attractive'. He explained his request and how it applies to football. Advertisement 'Become attractive men. In football, to a coach, to your teammates, being attractive is being somebody that people look up to and want to be motivated from. Be attractive men. It will help the team be more successful if you take care of yourself,' Swasey said. Seaton developed in his freshman season. There was no waiting on the sidelines with the one-time IMG Academy product starting immediately. With the absence of names like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, CamRon Silmon-Craig, and others who have departed the program for life after college, a leadership void was expected. However, Seaton has chosen to fill that void in a big way. Some of the new Colorado players have become adjusted to live in Boulder. Every year the same thing happens. New recruits and transfers arrive in Boulder for summer camp, and some find out very quickly that the elevation and thin mountain air is a real thing. It is not uncommon for new players to face an adjustment period. In today's conditioning periods, multiple players were seen gassed and even in danger of suffering from altitude sickness. Two years ago, a viral video surfaced of former CU five-star Cormani McClain struggling to adjust with none of his teammates helping him out. Today's workout revealed Jordan Seaton has no intention of allowing that to happen. As players began to show signs of sickness, he was there for them. Terrell Timmons, Brandon Davis-Swain and Tyler Brown could be seen assisting players to catch their breath with Seaton nearby off camera. He allowed for a breather but would not accept quitting on the conditioning. 'Okay, but he's not quitting, he ain't quitting,' Seaton declared. After each run, he would check back with words of encouragement. Before too long, even those struggling pushed themselves to get back to the line to run the sprint. Before long players like Seaton and Yahya Attia were asking Swasey to 'blow it' as if they weren't interested in resting between reps. While this team under Deion Sanders has never been 'out for self', there is a strong sense of 'we' over 'me' early in this offseason. While everyone seems to be bought in on the concept, it's becoming very clear that Seaton intends to be the vocal leader of this football team. Colorado's Jordan Seaton Makes Major Personal Announcement
Colorado's Jordan Seaton Makes Major Personal Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As the Colorado Buffaloes transition into the post-Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter era, sophomore offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has quietly climbed into the spotlight. Advertisement A consensus five-star recruit out of IMG Academy, Seaton exploded onto the scene in 2024 as the first true freshman to start at left tackle in school history. Now, off the field, Seaton is making moves to solidify his star status. Wednesday, Seaton appeared on Reach The People Media's YouTube channel to reveal his next big move: hosting his own football camp back in his hometown of Washington, D.C. "Yeah, 'cause I'm going to have a camp back home and I need all the young lions," Seaton said. "This ain't no typical, you know, like your average camp. This is a one-on-one, what's in the bag, elite football camp. Like, put your family on the map. Put your name on the map. Put your city on the map." Advertisement However, equally important was the role Seaton played. By season's end, he had logged more snaps (809) than any other offensive player on campus, allowing just three sacks in 612 pass-blocking snaps and earning Freshman All-American honors from On3, 247Sports, and Pro Football Focus. With both Sanders and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Hunter having moved on to the NFL, Seaton has quickly emerged not only as a cornerstone of Colorado's offensive front but also as an unlikely face of leadership in Boulder. Colorado football offers versatile offensive lineman from UCLA
Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders have been focused on improving their offensive line significantly during the spring transfer portal window. The Buffaloes have already brought in transfers from Memphis and Maryland to add depth and potential starters to the group. However, they aren't done. They are bringing in former UCLA freshman Walker Andersen for a visit and offering him this week. Advertisement Andersen is a mountain of a man, standing at 6-foot-8 and 335 pounds. He primarily plays guard but can swing out to tackle if necessary. He did not appear in a game for UCLA last season and would come to Colorado with four years of eligibility. Andersen displays great power in both the passing and running game, and his 82-inch wingspan helps him quickly get his hands on defenders' chests. While still in need of development in some areas, his upside should be more than enough to excite Buffs fans. Colorado's offensive line has been an issue since Sanders' arrival as head coach, but the group has steadily improved thanks to additions like former 5-star tackle Jordan Seaton. Without quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the Buffaloes' offensive line will be under much more scrutiny to help whoever leads the Colorado offense. Jordan Seaton makes list of college football's top 100 returning players
Coming off an impressive true freshman season at Colorado, offensive tackle Jordan Seaton was named one of college football's top 100 returning players. On Saturday, College Sports Network released its top 100 returning college football players, and the Buffaloes' starting left tackle landed No. 44. Seaton started in all 13 games last season as Colorado's top offensive lineman, earning Freshman All-American honors from multiple outlets. Here's what College Sports Network wrote on Seaton: "A good chunk of the top offensive tackle talent in college football decided to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, paving the way for the rise of a new bunch of impact makers. Jordan Seaton was a big-time get for the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2024 recruiting class, and heads into his sophomore season as one of the best in the country after earning CSN Freshman All-American honors for his performances protecting Shedeur Sanders." Looking closer at College Sports Network's list, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith earned the No. 1 spot, and South Carolina EDGE Dylan Stewart followed at No. 2. Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, who began his career at Colorado, was the highest-ranked Big 12 player at No. 13. While Seaton was the only Buff featured in the top 100, wide receiver Omarion Miller and cornerback DJ McKinney had strong cases.
