(WTNH) — Friday marks the end of the first week in the Jose Morales murder trial being conducted in Milford court. Morales, 48, is suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend in 2019. Christine Holloway's body was discovered on Dec. 2, after she failed to show up at the daycare where she worked and where her one-year-old daughter, Vanessa, also went each day. DNA testing, phone data used in day 4 of Jose Morales trial Vanessa has been missing since Holloway's body was discovered. Morales does not face charges in her disappearance at this time. Since Monday, the jury has heard testimony from various law enforcement officials, Holloway's former boss, and community members about the day Holloway was found and what evidence was discovered in the weeks following. The state is using science and technology to try to make its case against Morales. Day 3: Prosecutor tries to connect Jose Morales to death of Ansonia mother On Thursday, a forensic science examiner with the state forensic lab testified that both Holloway and Morales' DNA were found on a contractor bag in the trunk of Jose Morales' Nissan Sentra.
