Netflix Tudum 2025: Did Bridgerton Season 4 or Queen Charlotte Season 2 feature during the event?

Fans tuning into Netflix Tudum 2025 , the streamer's global fan event held on May 31 at the packed Kia Forum in Los Angeles, were treated to a flurry of announcements and exclusive content. However, those eagerly awaiting updates on Bridgerton Season 4 were met with a surprising omission — the Regency-era favourite was notably absent from the main stage. Despite high-profile reveals for popular titles such as Stranger Things , Wednesday , Squid Game , and Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man , the sprawling Bridgerton Cinematic Universe made only a brief appearance, and it came in the form of a low-key cameo by Queen Charlotte actor Corey Mylchreest, as mentioned in a report by Tom's Guide. No Main Stage Spotlight, But Season 4 Has Not Been Forgotten While Bridgerton Season 4 did not receive new footage or trailer reveals during Tudum itself, Netflix had already offered fans a first look at the upcoming season earlier in May during its annual Upfronts event for advertisers. At that presentation, a short teaser scene introduced viewers to Benedict Bridgerton , portrayed by Luke Thompson, encountering Sophie Baek, played by newcomer Yerin Ha, at an elegant masquerade ball. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Truque caseiro noturno eficaz contra a papada (faça hoje mesmo) Revista & Saúde Saiba Mais Undo This romantic moment sets the tone for the season, which is expected to closely follow Julia Quinn's An Offer From a Gentleman , the third book in the Bridgerton series, and Benedict's central love story. The early preview assures fans that while the show did not feature prominently at Tudum 2025, the series is progressing steadily behind the scenes. Season 4 Arriving in 2026 Netflix confirmed that Bridgerton Season 4 will officially release in 2026, continuing the platform's commitment to adapting Julia Quinn's beloved novels. Season 4 marks the midway point in the streamer's previously announced eight-season plan, which aims to chronicle the romantic journeys of each Bridgerton sibling. Live Events The show has been renewed through Season 6, cementing its long-term presence on the platform. With four siblings — Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth — still waiting their turn in the spotlight, future seasons are expected to bring their stories to the forefront. Familiar Faces and New Arrivals In addition to Thompson and Ha, Bridgerton Season 4 will see the return of fan favourites including Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, Simone Ashley, and Golda Rosheuvel. New additions to the cast include Isabella Wei, Michelle Mao, and Katie Leung, who will portray members of Sophie Baek's stepfamily, adding new layers to the upcoming season's social and emotional landscape. Absence at Tudum Doesn't Dim Hype Although Bridgerton's main series was not showcased during Tudum's packed programming, fans can take heart in the teaser already unveiled this month. The lack of fresh footage at Tudum may have left some viewers curious, but the early look provided at Netflix's Upfronts, coupled with the confirmation of a 2026 release date, ensures anticipation remains strong. As Netflix shifts its focus to blockbuster finales and high-profile premieres, the Bridgerton saga continues to unfurl its tale with quiet confidence, and Season 4 appears ready to waltz into its next chapter. FAQs Was Bridgerton Season 4 featured at Netflix Tudum 2025? No, Bridgerton Season 4 did not appear on the main stage at Tudum 2025. However, a cameo by Queen Charlotte actor Corey Mylchreest briefly acknowledged the franchise. Has any footage from Season 4 been released? Yes. A teaser scene debuted at Netflix's May 2025 Upfronts, showing Benedict Bridgerton meeting Sophie Baek at a masquerade ball, hinting at the season's romantic tone.

Bridgerton series five and six 'CONFIRMED' as Netflix bags huge investment for the show's future

Series five and six of Bridgerton has reportedly been confirmed. The fourth instalment of the much-loved Netflix series will return to screens in 2026 and now 'Netflix has shared a huge update on the show's future'. According to The Sun, Netflix has bagged a multi-million pound investment to make series five and six. A TV insider told the publication: 'After introducing the controversial gender swap at the end of series three which saw Michael Stirling switched to Michaela, there is a chance execs could skip ahead to Francesca's story. 'They certainly weren't afraid to dabble with Julia Quinn's timeline by swapping the order of Colin and Benedict's tales.' MailOnline has contacted Netflix for comment. Series four will centre on the love story of Luke Thompson's character Benedict Bridgerton and a new leading lady Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha. The previous three series saw Luke's onscreen siblings Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony) and Luke Newton (Colin) take precedence in their respective episodes as viewers watched their love stories play out. A picture dropped on Valentine's Day to tease the upcoming fourth season of the period romance revealed a ginger-haired baby cradled by Nicola Coughlan, 38, after the couple's first child was shown in the closing scenes of season three. Reprising her role, Nicola appeared in the usual regency dress with her red-haired wig in curls. It comes after a steamy season three between Penelope and Colin where fans finally got to see the pair enjoy married life and Penelope leave her gossip column, Lady Whistledown, behind. Australian actress Yerin plays the role of the love interest and is set to be the 27-year-old's big break after appearing in minor television shows such as Halo. Returning to the show is fan favourite, Johnathan Bailey, in his role as eldest son Anthony Bridgerton as filming began this month for the Netflix sensation. Season 4 will dive much more into the Regency era's upstairs-downstairs class politics than previous seasons, due to Sophie being of a lower class than Benedict and the Bridgerton family, as well as the fairytale and forbidden love tropes. Netflix confirmed: 'Despite his brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down. 'That is, until an enthralling woman captures Benedict's attention' Although a release date has not been announced yet, it is confirmed the season will be made of 8 parts and will take around 8 months to wrap up filming - Oli Higginson as Footman John, Sophie Lamont as Celia, Geraldine Alexander as Mrs. Wilson Netflix confirmed: 'Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down. 'That is, until an enthralling woman captures Benedict's attention at Violet Bridgerton's (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. 'While Benedict knows his love interest as only the Lady in Silver, she's actually Sophie, a resourceful maid with her own secrets and dreams.' Ahead of taking on this season's lead role Luke said of his character: 'Benedict has always been a little lost — or free depending on the way you want to look at it. But now he's trying to find something a bit more solid in himself.' Creator Shonda Rhymes added: 'He's a charming man who's trying to find his way. He's very delightful and funny. I'm excited for everybody to watch him.' Although a release date has not been announced yet, it is confirmed the season will be made of 8 parts and will take around 8 months to wrap up filming. Speaking to THR, showrunner Jess Brownell said: 'We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language. 'The writing takes a very long time as well, so we're kind of on a two-year pace, we're trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range.'

Huge update on Netflix smash hit Bridgerton after raunchy carriage scene was snubbed for BAFTA gong

SERIES five of Bridgerton is going ahead after Netflix made a huge multi-million pound investment in the show's future. The greenlight for the new season takes the programme way beyond its current four season batch of shows, the most recent of which was filmed last year. 3 3 The Bridgerton story is likely to follow the rough pattern of the novels by Julia Quinn and it's thought the next book which will serve as inspiration is expected to be Elouise Bridgerton's story, To Sir Philip, With Love. But nothing is a given in Netflix's distinctive version of the story. A TV insider said: "After introducing the controversial gender swap at the end of series three which saw Michael Stirling switched to Michaela, there is a chance execs could skip ahead to Francesca's story. "They certainly weren't afraid to dabble with Julia Quinn's timeline by swapping the order of Colin and Benedict's tales." The good news about continuing the Bridgerton saga comes as series three received a nomination at this week's TV BAFTA awards, with Colin and Penelope's saucy carriage sex scene up for the Memorable Moment gong. It was beaten by Chris McCausland's moving dance on last year's Strictly Come Dancing. Series four, which started filming at the end of 2024, will follow the story of the second Bridgerton son, Benedict, played by Luke Thompson. I exclusively revealed last year how Netflix had invested millions in building a huge new Regency-style set on the edge of London, shifting everything from its traditional home on the stunning streets of Bath. It's hard to believe it's now been almost five years since the first series dropped on Netflix starring Phoebe Dynevor and Rege Jean Page, before series two came along and helped firmly catapult Jonathan Bailey to Hollywood superstardom. Last year's third series did similar wonders for the career of its leading lady Nicola Coughlan opposite her character's love interest, Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton. Netflix were approached for comment. 3
