NEWPORT: Family remember teen Dan Wright with Pen y Fan walk
Daniel Wright, commonly known as Dan, passed away in April 2023 in a car crash on Magor Road, Newport. His mother Becky Wright explains: 'Sunday, June 22 will be his birthday we can't celebrate with him, so this is the best way we can remember him.'
Dan's parents will be joined on the Pen y Fan Walk by the bearers at his funeral. Pen y Fan is the highest point in south Wales.
With great sadness Becky added: 'To honour Dan, Chris and I will be tackling Pen y Fan as Dan always intended to do it himself but, sadly never got the chance. Please join us if you can remember him Let us know if you can make it.'

Speaking of the Wales Air Ambulance service, Becky continued: 'They did all they could 'to save him and thanks to them bringing him back we got to spend a few hours with him to say our goodbyes. They are a charity close to our hearts.'
The Welsh Air Ambulance Charity relies on public donation and provides life-saving services across Wales. The family's Go Fund me campaign has already raised over £600, with friends and supporters from the speedway community, local clubs and friends contributing.

In 2019 he qualified for the Junior World Championships in Poland. He also crammed in representative honours at the Junior World Cups in 2015 and 2019.
