Yoga event In a powerful display of unity and wellness, the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, marked the International Day of Yoga 2025 with a rejuvenating yoga session at The Ashok, New Delhi. Organised in collaboration with the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the session brought together over 100 participants, including representatives from 25 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), officials from the Ministry of Finance's Department of Public Enterprises, and esteemed instructors from the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY). Embracing the global theme, 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health' , the event went beyond being a ceremonial observance—it became a shared space of reflection, breathwork, and mindfulness that transcended organisational boundaries. It reaffirmed the growing recognition that wellness is not just an individual pursuit but a collective responsibility. Senior leadership from across the public sector spectrum attended the session, with Chairpersons, Managing Directors, and senior officials from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. Public sector leaders, officials, and employees rolled out their mats early Friday morning at The Ashok hotel in New Delhi to observe the International Day of Yoga . The event, hosted by India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in collaboration with the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), brought together over 100 participants from across 25 public sector enterprises and government by instructors from the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), the hour-long session introduced a sequence of foundational asanas and pranayama breathing techniques. Designed to centre both body and mind, the practice created a rare pause in the otherwise fast-paced world of public sector year's theme—' Yoga for One Earth , One Health'—found a clear echo among attendees. From the Ministries of Finance and Public Enterprises to PSUs like Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), Cement Corporation of India (CCIL), NHPC, NBCC, and ECIL, the shared participation was a signal of rising institutional attention to mental and physical Sinha, IAS, Managing Director of ITDC, said: 'Yoga is not merely a physical discipline; it is a quiet revolution rooted in self-awareness, balance, and collective well-being. This year's theme, ' Yoga for One Earth, One Health ,' powerfully underscores the deep interconnection between our individual wellness and environmental harmony. As leaders from various PSUs unite on the same platform today, we are reminded that true progress begins with inner harmony and shared purpose.'Thanking all the participants, she added: 'This initiative embodies the 'whole of CPSE approach,' where all Central Public Sector Enterprises unite in pursuit of a shared wellness objective. By integrating Yoga into our institutional ethos, we're not only nurturing healthier individuals but also contributing to a more resilient and mindful nation. We are thankful to SCOPE for partnering with ITDC for this first of its kind inclusive event on International Day of Yoga. We also thank MDNIY, Ministry of AYUSH for providing the expert resource for the event's yoga session.'Continuing the united initiative, n, Mr. K. P.
