FedEx shipping location to close in Sioux City
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A FedEx location here in Sioux City will be closing in less than two months. Company officials said the FedEx ship center located at 4929 Harbor Drive will close on September 1. 'These decisions are never taken lightly and reflect our commitment to supporting affected employees — through job placement assistance, relocation aid, or severance, as applicable – while transforming our network and continuing to provide an outstanding experience for our customers,' said a FedEx spokesperson in an email to KCAU 9. Dakota County commissioner pleads guilty
DAKOTA COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — A Dakota County, Nebraska, commissioner has pleaded guilty to three amended charges related to driving while under the influence and driving without a license, instead of the charges he originally faced. Richard Bousquet, 68, pleaded guilty to 3 charges, including refusal to submit to a breath test. Bousquet could face between seven and 60 days in jail. A sentencing date is scheduled for July 21. In the 2nd case, Bousquet pleaded guilty to driving during revocation. The charges of obstructing governmental operations and no operator's license were dropped. '25 Innovation Market Pitch event winner announced

Siouxland Growth Organization says Siouxland Golf Lessons got 1st place and received $5,500 to use towards their business. 2025 Juneteenth preview
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A major holiday known as Juneteenth is returning to Sioux City after a five-year lapse. Juneteenth is a federal holiday that commemorates the Emancipation Proclamation for enslaved people in the U.S. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas back in 1865 when enslaved people were declared free. The president of the NAACP said this event welcomes all types to come celebrate the African American community. 'What to expect is just coming in ready to celebrate,' said Monique Scarlett, the president of the Sioux City NAACP. 'Community means everyone, so it doesn't matter what color you are, what religious background you have, whether you're male, female, it does not matter.
