YSRCP alleges large scam behind land allotments in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP Visakhapatnam district president KK Raju alleged that there is a large scale land scam behind allotment of prime lands in Visakhapatnam to the benamis of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking to the media at the party office here on Tuesday, he mentioned that Naidu has personal benefits behind allotting lands worth thousands of crores of rupees to various private companies at throwaway prices in Visakhapatnam. He demanded that these land allotments should be cancelled with immediate effect. Neglecting the development of North Andhra, KK Raju alleged that conspiracies are being hatched to snatch valuable government lands away from the region. As soon as the NDA government came to power, prime lands were being looted in North Andhra, he remarked. The YSRCP district president pointed out that Naidu is in the process of allocating lands worth thousands of crores in North Andhra region to his people and benamis. Further, Raju wondered that Naidu is showing special love for Lulu Mall and added there is a huge corruption behind the land allotment of 13.74 acres to the mall which is worth Rs 3,000 crore at a cost of just Rs 1.5 per sqft for 99 years. The YSRCP district president opined that it is very clear that Naidu has been allocating lands by expecting some kind of return. After the coalition government came to power, more than four acres of RTC land at prime locality in Vijayawada was allotted to Lulu Mall. There is definitely a quid pro quo behind these deals, he commented. Further, Raju stated that the AP government announced that Sattva Developer is said to be providing employment to 25,000 people by investing Rs 1,500 crore. 'In fact, Sattva Developers does not directly provide employment to anyone. Only the IT companies set up in the venture provide employment. The government not only allotted land to Sattva at subsidised price but also provided additional benefits in the garb of investment subsidy, electricity subsidy, and SGST exemption under AP IT and GCC Policy 4.0. The government should explain how it is providing subsidies under the policy to a real estate company that is only developing an IT park,' demanded the YSRCP city president.

People approach Lokesh to air grievances
Visakhapatnam: Aspart of his second day of the tour to North Andhra, Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh received petitions from the general public, who sought resolution for problems they were facing. Holding the 65th Praja Darbar at the Visakhapatnam party office here on Tuesday, the Education and IT Minister met people and listened to their problems. Responding to their issues, he directed the staff to look into them and resolve them at the earliest. Representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Government Degree Colleges Guest Faculty Association met the minister and appealed to him to help clear monthly salaries to the teachers working in government degree colleges across the state and provide opportunities for inter-zonal transfers. R Sravani complained to Nara Lokesh that her husband died in a road accident two years ago and that her aunt, uncle and other relatives had unfairly taken away the property that belonged to their family. She mentioned that she has been facing difficulties with two young children to look after and without any financial support. Sravani sought justice for her family. When Chandrababu Naidu visited Visakhapatnam as the leader of the Opposition in 2020, K Gopal Reddy, another complainant from Visakhapatnam, complained that YSRCP district president KK Raju created hurdles and behaved in a very rude manner. Even as the police registered a case, no action was taken against Raju. Recalling it, he appealed to the IT Minister to launch an inquiry and take appropriate action against KK Raju. Meanwhile, students, parents and villagers of Anandapuram Government Junior College met the minister to take steps to construct permanent buildings on the two and a half acres of land previously allocated for the government junior college in Anandapuram mandal of Visakhapatnam district. They brought to his attention that some people are trying to construct a government degree college at the land for personal gain, and this will impact a number of students in the area. GVMC 79th ward corporator R Srinivasa complained to Nara Lokesh that Rs 1.2 crore of funds were misused in the Koneru development works at Lankelapalem of Visakhapatnam. He urged the minister to call for a detailed probe into this and sought action against those responsible. YSRCP leaders' demand resumption of old PDS system
Visakhapatnam: Demanding essential commodities be supplied through public distribution system vehicles and MDU vehicle drivers be provided employment, a rally was carried out under the aegis of the MDU Drivers, Helpers Association here on Sunday. Starting from Gandhi statue at GVMC office, the rally continued till the LIC Building. Expressing solidarity with the association representatives, YSRCP Visakhapatnam district president KK Raju, former MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, Visakhapatnam east constituency in-charge Molli Apparao and senior leaders participated in the rally taken out as a protest against the state government's decision. Speaking on the occasion, KK Raju said that in the past, people used to stand in long queues for hours at ration depots across the state and faced difficulties in getting their ration home. 'However, the exercise was eased when the YSRCP government came to power as the then Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced a new system with an intention of providing ration to the beneficiaries at their doorstep, Raju recalled. Further, KK Raju pointed out that the NDA government had cancelled the system when the other state governments were coming forward to implement it. He alleged that the system was cancelled due to political conspiracy as Jagan Mohan Reddy earned fame due to its implementation. Former MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar pointed out that by cancelling the system, 20,000 Mobile Dispensing Unit operators' families and 1.5 crore beneficiaries across the state would get affected every month. Therefore, YSR Congress Party strongly condemned the cancellation of the GO and demanded to resume the old system for the benefit of the MDU operators and scores of beneficiaries in the state. The YSRCP leaders alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is indulging in diversion politics and is more focused on cancelling the best systems introduced by Jagan Mohan Reddy. They pointed out that the NDA government made several impractical promises and is now unable to fulfill any of them. 'The government came to power by assuring implementation of 'Super Six'. However, it failed in doing so and is now indulging in diversion tactics.' the YSRCP leaders commented.
