How Bobat, Flower, Karthik changed RCB's auction dynamics to lead team to IPL final
In Rishabh Pant, K L Rahul and Shreyas Iyer some of the biggest names in contemporary Indian cricket were available to buy, and going by the past precedent, RCB would have broken their vault to acquire at least two of them.

‘Karun Nair gets 100, KL Rahul requests BCCI to…': Gambhir handed ‘two gems' verdict ahead of England series
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen, who mentored Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, is mighty impressed with Karun Nair and KL Rahul ahead of the upcoming five-match Test series against England. Pietersen, who worked with both these batters at close quarters in the T20 competition, lauded the way both are preparing for the upcoming series, beginning June 20. Karun Nair vindicated the selectors' call to include him in the main squad as he hit a century in the ongoing first unofficial Test between India A and England Lions in Canterbury. The right-handed batter, 33, made full use of some below-par bowling on a green surface, which offered some initial assistance for the pacers. Karun remained unbeaten on 186 on Day 1 of the first unofficial Test as he made a strong case for his inclusion in the playing XI for the first match of the five-Test series against England in Headingley. The right-hander was involved in an 181-run stand for the third wicket with Sarfaraz Khan. The latter missed out on a well-deserved century, but Karun piled the misery, and he found support in Dhruv Jurel. According to reports, KL Rahul has also requested that the BCCI fly him to the UK next week so that he can play the second Test between India A and England Lions. Also Read: Karun Nair makes dream start to England tour with century for India A Pietersen labelled Nair and Rahul as 'two gems' of Indian cricket as he appreciated their efforts to prepare for the England tour. 'Karun gets a 100 yesterday, and KL has asked BCCI to travel early to the UK to get extra practice in before Tests - 2 gems,' Pietersen wrote on X (formerly Twitter). According to a report in the Times of India, KL Rahul will leave for the UK on Monday after being granted permission by the BCCI. Rahul was originally slated to leave alongside the rest of the Indian team on June 6. However, he decided to play the second India A Test against the England Lions after rain spoilt his preparation in Mumbai. KL Rahul had also played for India A before the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The opening batter will now be required to shoulder the responsibility of the batting order after the Test retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Rahul was one of India's best batters in the series against Australia, which India lost 1-3. India will be led by Shubman Gill against England while Rishabh Pant will serve as his deputy. India squad: Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.

Who scored most hundreds in IPL? How many tons Rohit & Kohli scored in IPL?
Former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma enjoyed a successful outing in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, on Friday. Playing in the Eliminator match of the IPL, Rohit had all the luck on his side, earning two lifelines after being dropped by Gerald Coetzee and Kusal Mendis. He made the most of the opportunity but missed out on a well-deserved century, losing his wicket to Prasidh Krishna on 81. Rohit had the chance to enter the top 10 list of players with the most IPL centuries, but the star Indian batter might have to wait a little longer. Meanwhile, his countryman and RCB stalwart Virat Kohli continues to lead the list with eight centuries to his name. Jos Buttler, with seven IPL centuries, is second on the overall list of players with the most centuries, while KL Rahul, with five, has the second-highest number of IPL centuries among Indian batters. KL Rahul makes special request to BCCI ahead of India's tour of England; here's what report says
After a successful Indian Premier League (IPL) with new franchise Delhi Capitals, KL Rahul made a special request to the BCCI to allow him to play the second India A game against England Lions in a bid to prepare himself for the upcoming Test series, starting next month. Rahul's decision comes in after the India batter wasn't able to prepare in Mumbai or Bengaluru due to adverse weather conditions. While India A play their unofficial Test against England Lions from May 30, the second unofficial Test gets underway at Northampton from June 6. According to a TOI report, Rahul has been granted permission to travel early to the United Kingdom as the BCCI gave the 31-year-old all the necessary go-aheads to get his preparation going and leave for England on June 2 instead of originally scheduled June 6 with rest of the team. This is not the first time Rahul has went overseas early to play warm-up games to get acclimatised with the conditions. Last year, Rahul went to Australia early to play for India A ahead of Border Gavaskar Trophy. It is to be noted that Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan were earlier reported to play for India A in the second game against England Lions. Will Gill being appointed as Indian Test captain, he will directly play in the first Test with no change in Sudharsan's travel plans. The India A games offers newcomers/less experienced players a massive chance to get acclimatised with the conditions overseas along with the emerging red-ball cricketers who would stake a claim for Test spots. The India A squad features players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel, and Karun Nair, who are also in the Test squad against England. First Test: June 20-24, Headingley (Leeds) Second Test: July 2-6, Edgbaston (Birmingham) Third Test: July 10-14, Lord's (London) Fourth Test, July 23-27, Old Trafford (Manchester) Fifth Test: July 31- August 4, The Oval (London)

KL Rahul to join India A for 2nd warm-up game in England: Reports
Indian Test batsman KL Rahul is set to join the India A squad in England next week. He will feature in the second warm-up match against the England Lions at Northampton on June 6. Rahul is scheduled to fly out on Monday. Being part of the 18-member senior Test squad, Rahul decided to participate in this game after his IPL team, Delhi Capitals, missed out on the Qualifiers. A source from the BCCI confirmed, 'He will depart on Monday to play the second warm-up game with India A. Since he is a member of the senior team preparing for the upcoming five-Test series, these matches will help him gain valuable game time and match practice.' India A begin tour today in Canterbury Rahul scored 255 runs in five Tests during the Australia tour, averaging 30.66, including two half-centuries. His steady performance in the first Test at Perth, where he made scores of 26 and 77, led captain Rohit Sharma to move him from the opening slot to number six in the batting order for the second Test. With 58 Tests under his belt, Rahul's experience will be crucial for India in the five-match Test series against England. In a recent conversation with Sky Sports, Rahul shared his passion for red-ball cricket. 'I love Test cricket. That hasn't changed for me or anyone in the Indian team. We're all aligned on the importance of Test cricket, and it remains our priority,' he said. He also reminisced about his early days, saying, 'I grew up following Test matches in England and Australia. I used to wake up at five in the morning to watch Tests in Australia with my father, who was also a big cricket fan.'
