Mohit Suri's romantic drama 'Saiyaara' is still pulling in crowds at the cinemas even after nearly three weeks. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda , the film may have seen a slight dip in numbers, but it's now just a step away from touching the Rs 275 crore mark at the Indian box office. The film's occupancy across Hindi shows stood at 14.54% on Day 13, with morning shows recording 10.33%, afternoons at 15.67%, evening shows at 15.03%, and night shows at a strong 17.11%. It has now beaten Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh' (Rs 379 crore) and Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' (Rs 264 crore) in total global earnings. The proud moment was shared by YRF on their official Instagram handle, with the caption, "#Saiyaara is touching hearts everywhere..." A poster shared in the post read, "Highest grossing love story in Indian cinema history Rs 404 crore (46.84 Million) Worldwide gross." New films may bring box office fight The coming Friday could shake things up at the cinemas. On 1 August, 'Son Of Sardar 2' and 'Dhadak 2' are set to release, and both films are expected to bring competition. If they receive good word of mouth, they could cut into 'Saiyaara''s audience, especially in urban centres. Still, with a strong lead so far and growing fan love, 'Saiyaara' might just hold its ground even in the face of new releases.

Saiyaara box office collection day 12: Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda's blockbuster passes Rs 400 cr worldwide; beats Simmba, Happy New Year
Mohit Suri's romantic film Saiyaara is going from strength to strength, not only at the domestic box office, but also worldwide. After registering its steepest decline in daily figures on Monday (day 11), the film showed a slight improvement on Tuesday (day 12), which suggests that it's in no mood to slow down anytime soon. On Tuesday, Saiyaara earned Rs 9.5 crore, a slight improvement on its Monday collection of Rs 9.25 crore. Prior to that, Saiyaara had been earning in double digits every day since its release, ranging from Rs 18 crore to Rs 35.75 crore. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the current box office collection of Saiyaara in India stands at Rs 266 crore. It's still the second-highest grossing Hindi film of 2025, tailing Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical drama Chhaava (Rs 600 crore+) by a huge margin. However, it has already surpassed the lifetime domestic box office collections of hits like Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files (Rs 252.90 crore) and Ayan Mukerji's action fantasy Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva (Rs 257.44 crore). Given its current trajectory, Saiyaara may soon edge past its next targets — Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's 2024 cop drama Singham Again (Rs 268.35 crore), the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR's period action drama RRR (Rs 274.31 crore), and Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Shahid Kapoor's romantic film Kabir Singh (Rs 278.24 crore). At the worldwide box office, Saiyaara has passed the Rs 400 crore mark. Thus, it's already surpassed Kabir Singh's global box office collection of Rs 368.32 crore, as well as that of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan's 2013 superhero film Krrish 3 (Rs 374 crore), Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan's 2014 action film Kick (Rs 377 crore), Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's 2014 heist comedy Happy New Year (Rs 385 crore), and Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh's 2018 cop drama Simmba (Rs 393.01 crore). Saiyaara has also overtaken Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan's 2015 action comedy Dilwale (Rs 394 crore), Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan's 2009 comedy 3 Idiots (Rs 395 crore), and Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan's 2015 action romance Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 399 crore). Saiyaara box office collection day 12: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda starrer becomes India's biggest love story, crosses Rs...
Directed by Mohit Suri and led by newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara has done what few love stories ever have: earned over Rs 400 crore globally. With a domestic gross of Rs 318 crore and a net earning of Rs 260.25 crore in India alone, it's more than just a commercial success; it's a phenomenon. Saiyaara broke multiple records In just 11 days, Saiyaara overtook Kabir Singh to become the highest-grossing romantic film in Indian cinema. The Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani film had earlier set the bar with Rs 387 crore worldwide, but Saiyaara crossed that in nearly a quarter of the time. Nope. It had already outperformed Kabir Singh during its opening weekend with Rs 83.25 crore net in India, compared to Kabir Singh's Rs 70 crore. That's not all, Saiyaara also recorded the biggest ever opening for a film headlined by debut actors. How strong was the film's release day? Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's launch vehicle opened to Rs 21.50 crore on day one in India. The last record for a debut pair belonged to Dhadak (Rs 8.76 crore) back in 2018. Even compared to Hrithik Roshan's Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Abhishek Bachchan's Refugee from 2000, Saiyaara, stands tall, making it the biggest day-one ticket-seller among debut films in 25 years. What helped Saiyaara capture hearts so quickly? The music. Saiyaara's soul-stirring soundtrack played a huge role in its massive reach. With hits like the title track Saiyaara, Barbaad, Humsafar, and Dhun, the album turned into a chart-topping playlist. Composed by a diverse group including Tanishk Bagchi, Mithoon, Vishal Mishra, The Rish, Faheem Abdullah, Arslan Nizami, and Sachet-Parampara, and penned by Irshad Kamil and Raj Shekhar, the soundtrack follows Mohit Suri's long-standing tradition of music-driven storytelling. With more records possibly in sight and strong word-of-mouth keeping the box office alive, Saiyaara may soon become more than just a love story; it could be a landmark moment for new-gen Bollywood.
