Kai Trump's stance on transgender athletes revealed in resurfaced post

Kai Trump's views on transgender athletes in women's sports have been revealed by a resurfaced social media post. It comes just days after president Donald Trump, her grandfather, threatened to halt federal funding to California after a transgender athlete dominated a school meet and qualified for the state championships. Aspiring golfer Kai, 18, is preparing to start her college career at the University of Miami later this year. And a post from February 5, which she shared on social media on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, has now come to light. Kai, whose mom Vanessa is dating Tiger Woods, wrote: 'Sports give girls confidence, strength, and leadership skills for life,' she wrote. 'I'm grateful to have strong women who inspire me, and I know how important it is to support the next generation of female athletes.' Donald Trump threatened to halt federal funding to California after a trans athlete won an event Earlier this week, Trump blasted California governor Gavin Newsom, who he called 'Newscum,' and called a transgender athlete's sporting domination in the state 'not fair and totally demeaning to women and girls.' 'Please be advised that large scale federal funding will be held back, maybe permanently,' Trump threatened on his Truth Social site. Then, without citing a specific legal basis, Trump wrote that 'I am ordering local authorities, if necessary, to not allow the transitioned person to compete in the State Finals. This is a totally ridiculous situation!!!' His post came after transgender athlete AB Hernandez of Jurupa Valley won the women's long jump and triple jump at the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Masters Meet. A week ago, Reese Hogan of Crean Lutheran High School, one of the opponents defeated by Hernandez, a biological male, took the podium following the official ceremony. The moment took off online, and earned praise from former college swimmer and conservative political activist Riley Gaines. In March, Hernandez drew backlash online after winning a triple jump event by three feet. Trump fumed about the results of the weekend's meet, and teased an upcoming phone call with Newsom. He wrote: 'California, under the leadership of Radical Left Democrat Gavin Newscum, continues to ILLEGALLY allow 'MEN TO PLAY IN WOMEN'S SPORTS.' 'This week a transitioned Male athlete, at a major event, won 'everything,' and is now qualified to compete in the 'State Finals' next weekend. As a Male, he was a less than average competitor. As a Female, this transitioned person is practically unbeatable.' Then, he added in all caps, 'this is not fair and totally demeaning to women and girls.' Trump went on to threaten: 'Please be hereby advised that large scale Federal Funding will be held back, maybe permanently, if the Executive Order on this subject matter is not adhered to. 'The Governor, himself, said it is 'UNFAIR.' I will speak to him today to find out which way he wants to go??? In the meantime I am ordering local authorities, if necessary, to not allow the transitioned person to compete in the State Finals. This is a totally ridiculous situation!!!' Trump issued an executive order on his first day in office titled 'defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth to the federal government.'

Tiger Woods' kids go there and so does Kai Trump. What to know about The Benjamin School

The Benjamin School in Florida has some of the most famous students in the state. Kai Trump, Charlie Woods and his sister Sam Alexis Woods all attend the private academy's high school campus in Palm Beach Gardens, a city known for its private golf courses such as PGA National and that sits in the shade of Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter. Its lower-school campus 4 miles east in North Palm Beach serves kids in pre-K through eighth grades. Its graduates have gone on to attend Ivy League universities and play major college sports, and its athletic teams regularly make headlines. Here's what to know about the private preparatory school. The Woods and Trump kids are not the only celebrities known to attend the school. Other famous golfers have sent their children to The Benjamin School, including Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman. Nicklaus sent his daughter Nancy O'Leary and his sons Gary and Mike to Benjamin. His grandsons Will, Stevie and Nick O'Leary also attended. O'Leary later played football at Florida State University and then in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Olympic gold medalist swimmer Ryan Berube, WNBA player Erlana Larkins and NFL player Brennan Curtin all attended the school. Tom Rooney, a former U.S. Representative for Florida's 17th congressional district which covers Sarasota and Charlotte Counties and parts of Lee County, also went there. Student athletes at The Benjamin School, whose mascot is a buccaneer, often get recruited for top college teams. Mike Norvell, Florida State University's head football coach, arrived at the school via a helicopter landing in the middle of the Buccaneers' baseball field in February 2024. 'It's just incredible,' said Ryan Smith, The Benjamin School's athletic director, at the time. 'These guys have thousands of kids they have to visit, and to be one of the few schools that Coach Norvell decides to come spend time and come via helicopter when his time is so constrained really means a lot to us as a school and the student-athletes.' More than 1,100 students attend The Benjamin School between its two campuses. Its mission is 'to provide a challenging college preparatory education to a diverse student body in a structured, nurturing community environment,' according to its website. Annual tuition costs $22,257 for pre-K, $26,740 for kindergarten through fifth grades, $32,474 for sixth through eighth grades and $38,595 for ninth through 12th grades. The Benjamin School offers need-based financial aid and participates in Florida scholarship programs. The Benjamin School was founded in 1960 by Nancy and Marshall Benjamin, from whom it takes its name, according to the school's website. The two teachers from Royal Oak, Michigan, bought a parcel of land 65 years ago with two old houses on it that became North Palm Beach Private School for pre-K students to sixth grade. That operation eventually became The Benjamin School. Maya Washburn covers northern Palm Beach County for The Palm Beach Post, part of the USA TODAY Florida-Network. Why is Maga-land so obsessed with Kai Trump turning 18? Do you really need to ask?

Kai Trump, the president's granddaughter and the eldest of Donald Trump Jr's five children, has just turned 18. To be clear, I do not have a list of Trump family birthdays on my fridge. But it has been forced upon my consciousness because an awful lot of people in Trumpworld are being weird about it. Fox News, for example, decided to post both an Instagram message (which got more than 87,000 likes) and a tweet wishing Kai a very happy 18th birthday. Which is a little odd considering that the high school student is not a public figure. Kai, who has a large social media following, did briefly speak at the Republican national convention last year and has posted support for her grandfather, but that doesn't seem to justify a birthday announcement by a major media network. Especially, by the way, as Fox News doesn't appear to have been so excited about Barron Trump when he turned 18. (Although it did put up an Instagram post on Barron's 19th birthday, with a quote from Donald calling him a 'a very smart guy'.) It's almost – and bear with me here – as if they have some sort of weird interest in the fact that a teenage girl has turned 18. Am I accusing the folk at Fox News of being a bunch of creeps? Absolutely not! I'd never do that. Although if you look at the reactions to the Fox News posts or the comments attached to a New York Post Page Six piece about Kai's birthday, there are plenty of people out there who should be on some sort of watchlist or registry. Particularly the people who have read far too much into the fact that Kai recently posted a TikTok video of her and three friends dancing to Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado and Timbaland with the caption: 'last day being 17″. While things have moved on somewhat, there's also a very depressing history of media figures counting down to young girls turning the age of consent. Look at British singer Charlotte Church, who got a record deal as an opera singer when she was just 12. There was a media frenzy in 2002 when she turned 16 (the age of consent in England). On her birthday, Chris Moyles, a BBC radio DJ who was 28 at the time, publicly announced he wanted to 'lead her through the forest of sexuality now she had reached 16'. Making this disgusting comment didn't ruin Moyles's career, by the way. Just like 38-year-old Jerry Seinfeld dating a 17-year-old high schooler hasn't hurt the billionaire comedian's career at all either. Harry Potter star Emma Watson has also talked about being sexualized by the media when she was a teenager. Watson has said the paparazzi even took photos up her skirt, and published them in an English tabloid, the moment she turned 18 and it was 'legal'. It was a similar story with twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who have been on TV since they were tiny. In 2004 numerous websites started counting down to their 18th birthday including the 'Olsen Twin Jailbait Countdown Clock' run by radio shock jocks Lex Staley and Terry Jaymes. The New York Post also crowed about the twins being 'legal'. More recently, in 2018, a radio host called Patrick Connor called Olympic athlete Chloe Kim, then just 17 years old, a 'little hot piece of ass'. Conner then referenced Wooderson, a character in the film Dazed and Confused who pursues high school girls. 'Her 18th birthday is 23 April, and the countdown is on baby, 'cause I got my Wooderson going,' said Connor. ''That's what I like about them high school girls.'' In a sign that some progress has made when it comes to mainstream misogyny, Connor was forced to apologize for the remark and fired. Since we live in litigious times I would like to reiterate, once again, that while some people (not me!) have accused Fox News of being creepy about Kai, I'm sure they meant nothing sinister by their post. After all, unlike depraved liberals, the Maga crowd are an extremely wholesome bunch who live and die for family values. I will concede, however, that it is sometimes hard to wrap one's head around the Maga definition of 'family values'. The president, for example, is a legally defined sexual predator who has also been accused, by Miles Taylor, a staffer in Trump's first administration, of sexualizing his oldest daughter Ivanka. In a book published in 2023, Taylor writes: '[Trump] said he talked about Ivanka Trump's breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her, remarks that once led [former chief of staff] John Kelly to remind the president that Ivanka was his daughter.' Former Fox News star Tucker Carlson also seems to have a strange definition of family values. I'm sorry to remind you of this if you've wiped it from your memory but last year Carlson made an extraordinary (even by Maga standards) speech at a Trump rally in which he likened the now president to an angry father spanking his daughter. 'I'm not going to lie. It's going to hurt you a lot more than it hurts me,' Carlson said. 'And you earned this. You're getting a vigorous spanking because you've been a bad girl. You're only going to get better when you take responsibility for what you did. It has to be this way.'' The crowd then erupted into chants of 'Daddy Don'! Maga also seems to adopt different values, depending on what sort of family they're looking at. Conservative influencers were vile about Ella Emhoff, Kamala Harris's stepdaughter, when Harris was running for president. Newsweek senior editor Josh Hammer wrote: 'Doug Emhoff's daughter is like something out of a horror film,' for example. Podcast host Benny Johnson also called Emhoff and her father 'creepy' for having their arms around each other in a video. The right seems eager to scrutinize the family of politicians when they don't agree with their politics. They went on the warpath, however, when a former NBCUniversal executive joked about Barron being 'fair game' (meaning that it was OK for the press to criticize him) when he turned 18. Anyway, happy birthday to Kai Trump. At 18 she is still very young – but it would seem like it's the Maga adults who have the real growing up to do.

Kai Trump's 18th birthday video with pals divides TikTok: ‘I am telling grandpa'

The day before Kai Trump turned 18 on Monday, she and her friends whooped it up on TikTok. President Donald Trump's eldest granddaughter and three of her pals, wearing black mini dresses, dance in unison to the 2006 hit collab 'Promiscuous.' The post, which has since received 243,000 plus likes, was titled, 'Last day being 17.' 'I'm all yours, whatchu waiting for?' Nelly Furtado sings as the gals lip sync. 'Promiscuous girl, you're teasin' me,' responds Timbaland as Kai leans into toward the camera, mouthing the words. 'You know what I want, and I got what you need.' While we're used to seeing the YouTube vlogger out on the greens, or at Mar-a-Lago documenting political events, it's rare to see Trump act as if she's starring in an update to Robert Palmer's classic 'Simply Irresistible' video (google it, young folks). Some of the Jupiter resident's followers were slightly taken aback and, naturally, let their feelings known. 'I am telling grandpa right now. Just kidding. You guys look amazing. Just be careful in this crazy world.' 'Beautiful young lady that doesn't need to tease.' 'You felt OK posting this?' 'The offers that will be coming in!' 'Does she even know what promiscuous means? Fire song tho.' 'Someone is going to have a talk with you soon.' 'OMG.' At least some people were fine with the incoming University of Miami golfer letting loose with her crew to celebrate becoming legal. 'Ignore the loser comments,' wrote one in support. 'Keep being you.'

Kai Trump's 18th birthday: Donald Trump's granddaughter shares White House snaps, sweet moment with grandpa

US President Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, has turned 18. She posted a series of pictures on Instagram to celebrate her special day. While some gave a glimpse of her private life, a few showed her hanging out in the White House and enjoying a sweet moment with her grandpa. '17, you taught me a lot about life. 18, I hope you teach me a lot more,' she wrote as he posted the pictures. Kai Trump is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. Kai has four siblings: Donald John III, Tristan Milos, Spencer Frederick, and Chloe Sophia. Her father, Donald Trump Jr., and mother, Vanessa Trump, divorced after over a decade of marriage. A post shared by Kai Trump (@kaitrumpgolfer) Mom Vanessa Trump dropped a comment and wrote, 'We are all so proud of the young lady that you've become.' Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was in a relationship with Donald Trump Jr from 2018 to 2024, reacted to Kai Trump's post. 'What an exceptional baby girl turned into an amazing woman!' she shared. An individual posted, 'Happy Birthday, how you have grown into a beautiful young lady. I know your parents are proud.' A fourth expressed, 'Kai, you will be sitting behind that desk as our Commander in Chief in about 20 -30 years!' Many reacted to the post using heart emoticons. Kai Trump posted a video on TikTok to celebrate her birthday, which created controversy on social media. The video showed her dancing to 'Promiscuous' by Nelly Furtado and Timbaland, along with her friends. 'Last day being 17,' she wrote as the post's caption. The video divided the internet. While some praised her dance and called her a 'great role model for girls,' others were unhappy. A few slammed her for her song choice, calling it provocative.
