XLRI Jamshedpur launches two 1-year hybrid programmes in public policy, human resource management, applications open
The Xavier School of Management, XLRI Jamshedpur, has launched two new one-year hybrid programmes – Public Policy and Sustainable Leadership (PPSL) and Public Human Resources Management (PHRM). These programmes, according to an XLRI statement, have been designed in close collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, and are tailored for working professionals across sectors.
These hybrid programmes blend online learning with immersive campus residencies, offering 180 hours of combined instruction that balance flexibility with academic rigor. The PPSL program features six modules of 30 hours each, while the PHRM program offers three modules of 60 hours.
The hybrid programme will be offered to a blend of participants from civil services, corporates, NGOs, and development agencies, and will also be a sponsored one by the Government of India for Group 'A' officers through DoPT. With minimal work disruption through weekend online classes and campus immersions, it will feature faculty from XLRI and industry, and culminate in a formal convocation.

The initiative will not only strengthen the leadership pipeline for public institutions but also bring together perspectives from business and governance to craft future-ready policies and institutions.
