Manoj Manchu breaks silence after brother Vishnu accuses him of involvement in Kannappa hard drive theft
The family feud within the Manchu family has been public for some time. Amid this ongoing rift, actor Vishnu Manchu recently spoke out about the case involving the stolen hard disk from Kannappa. He allegedly suggested that his brother Manoj might be involved, citing past issues between them. Now, the Mirai actor has broken his silence on the matter. What did Manoj Manchu say about the Kannappa theft case? During the success meet of his latest film, Bhairavam, Manoj Manchu was asked about the allegations made by his brother. He appeared hesitant to respond and refrained from giving any direct answers. As quoted by Telugu Cinema, he said, "I don't want to answer that. I still wish the best for Kannappa." What were Vishnu's allegations? While speaking at a promotional event, Vishnu Manchu addressed the issue surrounding the stolen Kannappa hard disk. He explained that the film's VFX work was being carried out across several cities, including Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, London, and Dubai. The actor shared that a VFX-related hard drive had been sent from Mumbai. As usual, it was delivered to his father Mohan Babu's residence in Film Nagar. He mentioned that all three siblings used the same address for their packages. Their managers typically picked them up from there. According to him, this particular hard disk was handed over to two individuals named Raghu and Charitha. He revealed that both of them have been missing since then. In his words, "You all know what happened within our family. We tried to reach Manoj through our friends, but to no avail. We don't know if they stole it or acted upon someone's orders. He estimated that there was only a one percent chance of bypassing the protection. Even if someone managed to leak the footage, he urged the public not to watch it. The theft reportedly occurred in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, about a month before the film's release. Following the incident, his team issued a statement suggesting that the act might have been motivated by sabotage and personal grudges. Vishnu Manchu Makes SHOCKING Claim, Says Brother Manoj's Staff Stole Kannappa Hard Disk
Last Updated: Vishnu Manchu claims his brother Manoj's staff is linked to the stolen 'Kannappa' hard disk. Tensions within the Manchu family have spilled into the spotlight once again as actor-producer Vishnu Manchu made a shocking claim involving his brother, actor Manoj Manchu. Speaking at a press meet in Chennai on Friday, Vishnu alleged that two individuals accused of stealing a hard disk containing crucial VFX footage from his upcoming film Kannappa are linked to his brother Manoj. According to Vishnu, the suspects—Raghu and Charitha—work for Manoj, though he clarified that he isn't sure whether they acted under Manoj's direct orders. 'We don't know if they stole it or acted upon someone's orders," he said. 'It was after these attempts we filed a police complaint." Vishnu explained that Kannappa's visual effects work is underway in multiple cities including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Dubai, and London. He detailed the incident, saying, 'When the VFX-related hard disk was sent from Mumbai, it reached my father Mohan Babu's residence in Film Nagar. It's the norm. We are three siblings and all our packages arrive there, and our respective managers would go collect it. Similarly, the hard disk arrived at our dad's residence. It was handed over to Raghu and Charitha, and they have been missing since then." The dispute is only the latest in a long-brewing rift between the Manchu brothers. Manoj has reportedly been estranged from the family and no longer stays at their father's Film Nagar home. Despite the setback, Vishnu reassured fans that the stolen hard disk is secure. '99 per cent, you cannot crack the password, there is one per cent chance though. Even if they manage to leak the footage, I urge everyone not to watch the leaked footage. A lot of hard work has gone into the film," he said. The alleged theft occurred in Hyderabad's Film Nagar, just weeks ahead of the film's expected release. A statement released earlier by Vishnu's team hinted at deeper issues, referring to 'sabotage and personal vendetta" as possible motives. An FIR filed with the Hyderabad police also backs Vishnu's version of events. As per the complaint, the footage was couriered on March 23 by a VFX vendor in Mumbai to the production office of 24 Frames Factory, Vishnu's banner. It was received by one staff member, then reportedly handed off to another, who is now missing. 'The hard drive was taken without any authorisation and with malicious and deliberate intent," the FIR reads. The film is releasing on June 27.
