JC Alcantara hails Barbie Forteza after ‘P77' collab, hopes to work again with actress
JC Alcantara openly expressed his profound admiration and gratitude for his co-star Barbie Forteza, describing their experience working together on the upcoming film 'P77' as nothing short of a dream job. At the media conference for the horror movie on Tuesday, JC revealed that his admiration for the Kapuso Primetime Princess dates back over a decade. 'Isang karangalan din makatrabaho si Barbie. I'm a fan since 2011,' he said. 'Bata pa lang ako, pinapanood ko na siya. And sobrang grateful ko din. Thankful kasi alam niyo po, sa dinami-daming artista, ako 'yung nabigyan ng chance. Salamat po sa inyo.' The Kapamilya actor admitted to having initial nerves when starting on the project. 'Kinakabahan. Tapos Barbie Forteza pa, ang pangarap kong maka-trabaho,' he said. JC recognized the need to overcome this apprehension to effectively portray his character, Theo, whom he described as a 'mysterious guy from P77.' 'Kailangan hindi ka magpatalo ng kaba kasi horror 'to. So kailangan, matakot ko pa rin siya. Kailangan maparamdam ko pa rin sa kaniya na nandito ako sa character na ito,' he said. His initial jitters quickly gave way to a deeply positive working relationship, with JC finding Barbie to be an absolute joy to work with, even emphasizing her kindness and dedication. 'Sobrang saya katrabaho, sobrang bait, sobrang—makikita mo siya, dedikado siya sa trabaho niya. Nagbabasa siya ng script, nando'n lang siya sa gilid. Ang saya palang katrabaho niya. Ang warm lang,' he said. JC also lauded Barbie's interpersonal skills on set. 'Lahat na nasa paligid talagang bibigyan niya ng pansin kaya ang saya. Sana hindi pa 'to 'yung last,' he added. "P77" is directed by Derick Cabrido, the filmmaker behind the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry "Mallari," and produced by GMA Pictures and Clever Minds Inc. It is written by Enrico Santos, and the story is by Anj Atienza and Xtian Julao. It is coming to cinemas on July 30. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

Ralph De Leon denies AZ Martinez confessed to him; addresses 'pa-fall' comments
Ralph De Leon has set things straight: AZ Martinez never admitted to having romantic feelings for him. Ralph and his final duo Will Ashley guested in a recent episode of "Your Honor," where hosts Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar playfully asked them about their so-called "pogi problems." "Nasabihan ka na ba ng, 'Pogi 'to. 'Wag 'yan. Pa-fall 'yan?'" Buboy asked Ralph. The Kapamilya star responded with a simple "yup" before opening up about the bond he formed with AZ during their time on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." "Siyempre sa loob, close close din talaga kami ni AZ. 'Yung totoo, genuine talaga 'yung pinagsamahan namin doon," Ralph explained. The Dutiful Judo-Son of Cavite then clarified that there was no romantic stuff going between them and denied claims that AZ ever confessed any feelings for him. "And multiple times parang siyempre nilulubog ko talaga 'yung mga sinasabi ng mga tao na may parang anything romantic going on between us, na may sinabi si AZ na ganito, ganyan. Pero wala naman talaga eh, wala naman siya sinabi. 'Yun nga, sobrang todo support lang talaga," he shared. Ralph also addressed the "pa-fall" accusations saying that he and AZ are just really close. "Pero 'yung nga, 'yung mga sa accusations na pa-fall, kasi sobrang close talaga namin, inaakala ng mga tao na sobrang mixed signals ko. Na, alam mo 'yun, na parang close talaga kami. Na mini-misinterpret, or siyempre, tine-take in a different light na mga tao yung mga ginagawa ko," he said. "And every time, kahit before man yan ako na-evict, or after, nung bumalik ako, minimake sure ko talaga na klaro yung kung anumang mayroon kami ni AZ, na friendship talaga yun," Ralph added. AZ and Ralph were among the fan ships that blossomed from "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." They started out as the RAZ duo, and their growing closeness quickly led to nonstop teasing from housemates and fans alike. Even though both of them later denied having any romantic feelings for each other, their actions—especially when a little tipsy—made it hard for fans not to hope the ship might still sail. Some of their most talked-about moments were when they got drunk on separate occasions and ended up looking for each other. And of course, their reunion after Ralph's eviction—and his dramatic wildcard comeback—had everyone glued to their screens after a week-long wait. Fans couldn't get enough. Following their exit from PBB, the two captured their first-ever selfie together outside the house, sparking kilig vibes among their beloved fans. They also made fans kilig with their first-ever TikTok entry together, hopping to the "Lasik" song trend. When asked about their current status, AZ and Ralph said that they are "very good friends" for now. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News

Esnyr picks Donny Pangilinan as her 'hypothetical boyfriend'
Esnyr recently went viral with her beach photo with a topless Jake Ejercito, Donny Pangilinan, Piolo Pascual, and Kyle Echarri. On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" Big Four finalist was asked hypothetically whom she will pick as a boyfriend among the four. Super genuine niya sa akin ever since." Her duo Charlie Fleming, who also has a crush on Donny, countered Esnyr and said, "Jojowain mo Kuya mo?" Esnyr then explained that she chose Donny because the Kapamilya star was the one who helped her when she moved to Manila. "Tapos noong paglabas ko po ng bahay siya 'yung una talagang nag-message sa akin na kailangan kong mag-debfrief sa bahay nila. Kaya sinundo niya ako at nagulat na lang ako na may ibang boys pala doon. All boys trip ang nangyari," she added, referring to the beach trip he had with them. The ex-housemate also revealed that it was Donny, Piolo, Kyle, and Jake who initiated to take a photo with her. "Sabi nila, 'Uy picture tayo kasi para ano 'Boys Over Flowers,' ganon," Esnyr shared. When asked if she already met Donny's parents Maricel and Anthony Pangilinan, Esnyr jokingly said "yes! Actually I am legal na po." While inside PBB, Esnyr reunited with Donny when the latter guested in the show. Esnyr and Charlie ended their PBB stint as the third big placer duo with the pair of Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo (BreKa) hailed as big winner duo. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
