Bianca Umali on Terra's growth in 'Sang'gre': 'Yung character development niya ang pinagmamalaki ko every time'
Bianca Umali expressed her pride in the character development of Terra, her role in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" who is the prophesied savior of Encantadia from Mitena's (Rhian Ramos) rule. In Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" Thursday, the Sparkle star shared that she has always been proud of Terra's inner growth, from a child who didn't know her purpose to eventually embracing her powers and becoming a protector in the mortal world. "Yung character development niya, 'yun naman ang pinagmamalaki ko every time na tinatanong ako eh. Kung paano mag-g-grow si Terra mula bata na hindi niya alam kung ano ang purpose niya hanggang sa ma-discover niya kung bakit ba siya ang itinakda," she shared. Per the report, Bianca does her own stunts in the series which she honed through intensive training, earning high praise from viewers. Bianca's boyfriend, Ruru Madrid, recently made an appearance in "Sang'gre," with last Monday's episode finally revealing the cause of death of his character Ybrahim: a broken heart. "I'm just very grateful na muling nabigyan ng buhay ang aking isa sa pinakaminahal na karakter," said Ruru. Bianca also expressed her gratitude to supporters of "Sang'gre," saying, "Sana po'y hanggang sa dulo'y mahalin niyo ang kuwento namin." Emre warns Amihan, Ybrahim about escaping Devas
Amihan (Kylie Padilla) and Ybrahim (Ruru Madrid) dared to defy Emre in a desperate attempt to return to Encantadia and help fight the darkness brought by Mitena (Rhian Ramos). On Tuesday's episode, the couple was shown embracing Lira (Mikee Quintos) and Mira (Kate Valdez) upon their arrival in Devas. Amihan tearfully apologized for not being able to protect them, highlighting the growing feeling of helplessness among the former leaders. Despite their sorrow, Amihan and Ybrahim pressed on and asked Emre to allow them to return to Encantadia to face Mitena. But Emre stood firm and said, "Hindi lahat ng sugat ay dapat agad lapatan ng lunas." Frustrated, Amihan made her intentions clear. "Kung hindi n'yo kami papayagan, mahal na Emre, kusa na lamang kaming aalis. Hindi n'yo kami maaaring pigilan sa pagtulong namin sa aming nasasakupan," she said. But just as they prepared to leave, an earthquake struck Devas. From the cracks emerged terrifying smoke-like beasts, ruthless creatures under Emre's command. Gaiea (Cassy Lavarias), unseen, witnessed the confrontation and Emre's chilling threat. Later, Lira urged her parents not to defy Emre, fearing they'd be separated again. But Amihan, now more determined than ever, likened Devas to a prison and vowed to reclaim her bugna (destiny) just to save Encantadia even if it meant breaking divine law. Cindy Kurleto, Ella Gueverra appear in ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre' flashback scene
Cindy Kurleto and Ella Gueverra made a surprise appearance in 'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre' on Monday. The two are best known for playing the roles of Cassiopeia and Cassandra in the 2005 version of 'Encantadia' and on Monday's episode, the two appeared in a flashback scene from 2005, where Amihan (Kylie Padilla) narrated the fate of Lireo after Alena (Gabbi Garcia) stepped down as queen to rule Sapiro with Ybrahim (Ruru Madrid). The flashback scene showed Cassiopeia welcoming the arrival of infant Cassandra and highlighted moments from Cassandra's childhood. According to the narration, Cassandra eventually became the queen of Lireo after Alena's departure. On X (formerly Twitter), netizens voiced on their confusion about Cindy's and Ella's appearance and the entire Encantadia lore, especially. because Cassandra and Cassiopeia are now portrayed by Michelle Dee and Solenn Heussaff. But series writer Suzette Doctolero responded to a fan comment, saying the scene actually carries a hidden message. "That's an easter egg," she said. Ybrahim's cause of death revealed in 'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre'
"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" finally revealed the cause of death of Ybrahim (Ruru Madrid). The King of Sapiro passed away earlier in the series, but there no explanation for it. Now, Encantadiks finally got the answer: he died of a broken heart. Monday's episode showed Ybrahim mourning Amihan (Kylie Padilla), who died in the 2016 "Encantandia." Overwhelmed by grief, the King of Sapiro fell into a slump—neglecting his people and retreating into the shadows. His people, along with Imaw, urged him to breathe new life into Sapiro by siring an heir who will take the throne after him. But Ybrahim could only cry out in despair. The king said he already has a child—Lira (Mikee Quintos), his daughter by Amihan. However, the princess was part of the succession of Lireo, a duty she already declined. "Kailangan ng Sapiro anak na kikilalanin nito. Rehav, iyan ang pamanang iiwan mo sa lahat ng iyong nasasakupan," Imaw said. "Binawi sa akin ng Bathala ang aking kaligayan, kung kaya't hayaan natin siya ang pumili kung sino ang babaeng magdadala ng pag-asa sa Sapiro," Ybrahim answered. Alarmed by Ybrahim's desperation, Imaw asked Bathalumang Emre to send Ybrahim the rightful woman who will stand as the Queen of Sapiro. With the help of a retre, Sapiro found a new queen in Ybrahim's former flame Alena (Gabbi Garcia) who gave birth to their daughter Armea (Ysabel Ortega). As Armea became the heir of Sapiro, Alena abandoned her post as the queen of Lireo to be a mother, Ybrahim's wife, and the Queen of Sapiro. Despite it all, Sapiro remained in despair, as Ybrahim continued to grieve the loss of his great love. Clutching a miniature figure of Amihan, a tearful Ybrahim retreated into the darkness, confessing that he was tired of pretending to be happy. As he voiced his regrets for himself, his daughters, and Alena, Ybrahim pleaded with Emre to let him let go of everything and be reunited with Amihan. "Amihan, handa na ako," he said and hugged the figure tightly. With these final words, a blinding light enveloped Ybrahim, who quietly and peacefully passed away on the throne. In Devas, Gaiea vows to create her own fate
As Danaya (Sanya Lopez) mourned the loss of Gaeia (Cassy Lavarias) and Aquil (Rocco Nacino), Amihan (Kylie Padilla) welcomed the father and daughter to Devas (heaven). Monday's episode showed a flashback of the death of Gaeia and Aquil in the mortal world to give way to Bathalumang Emre's prophecy. After arriving in Devas, Gaeia met Emre and questioned him about her untimely death. "Bakit ako? Hindi ako masama. Wala akong ginawang mali. Naging masunurin ako sa aking Ada at Ado at sa lahat ng mga nakakatanda sa akin. Ngunit, bakit mo ako hinayaang mapaslang para sa isang kapatid na hindi ko na makikilala pa? Kami po ba ni Ado ay sakripisyo lamang?" she said. Emre then told Gaeia that she is not a sacrifice but a new beginning, while her sister Terra (Bianca Umali) represents the "hope." Gaeia then pleaded with Emre to bring her back to life so she can reunite with her mother Danaya and welcome her sister Terra to the realm of Encantadia. "Tutulungan ko sila. Sasagipin namin ang Encantandia sa anumang panganib at kung sino man ang nagbabanta sa kaniya," she said. Despite her pleas, Emre could only offer her to serve as a guiding light for her sister.
