Shubhangi Atre reacts to Karan Patel's temperament during Kasturi days; says ‘I have learnt a lot from him and I consider that as my ragging period'

Television star Shubhangi Atre, best known for her role as Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, recently opened up on her early days in the industry during a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan. Reflecting on her time working with Karan Patel in Kasturi, she shared the challenges and valuable lessons she gained while navigating the demanding world of Indian television. Talking about Karan Patel's temperament during their Kasturi days, Shubhangi said, 'I learned a lot from Karan. He is actually a wonderful actor. I don't want to offend anyone, but there are very few good male actors on TV. He is genuinely a very good actor, and I've learned a lot from him.' She then added, 'Whatever stories you've heard from that time—I feel they were necessary for me. It was like a little ragging. Just like engineering or medical colleges, where there's a bit of ragging that helps you become tough, that's what it was for me. I consider that as my ragging period.' Recalling the demanding schedules from her early years, Shubhangi shared how exhausting the television industry was back then. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Đây có thể là thời điểm tốt nhất để giao dịch vàng trong 5 năm qua IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo 'Everyone used to rag me when I was new. I used to sit for hours on the sets. And back then, there were no 12-hour shifts. Actors were on set around the clock,' she said. Describing the intensity of the work, she added, 'Sometimes when I left home on a Wednesday, I'd return only on Friday or Saturday after the telecast. It was cut-to-cut telecast, and I worked day and night. I used to shoot for 30 days non-stop.' Despite the tough start, Shubhangi credits those formative years for shaping her into the resilient and versatile actor she is today. Her journey stands as a powerful reminder of the perseverance and growth that come with passion and persistence in showbiz.
