Karylle serenades 'It's Showtime' audience with original 'Encantadia' theme song
Twenty years later, Karylle still sounds magical singing the 2005 "Encantadia" theme song! During a commercial break on the set of "It's Showtime," the original Sang'gre Alena serenaded the audience with a performance of "Mahiwagang Puso," which she herself sang for the show's soundtrack. The video of the nostalgic performance was posted on GMA Network's TikTok page. Karylle made up the iconic main cast of "Encantadia" along with Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Sunshine Dizon. In 2016, GMA Network released a reboot of the series starring Gabbi Garcia, Kylie Padilla, Sanya Lopez, and Glaiza De Castro. Brand new spin-off series "Sang'gre" just premiered on Monday. It stars Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, Faith Da Silva, and Kelvin Miranda as the new generation of diwatas. "Sang'gre" airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." —JCB, GMA Integrated News
