Natalie Portman's makeup artist takes anti-ageing gadget 'on every job'

Other stars such as Sienna Miller, Kate Beckinsale and Cynthia Erivo also credit the laser's skin benefits A celebrity makeup artist (MUA) who travels the globe painting famous faces such as Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley says there's one product she takes 'on every job'. The LYMA Laser effectively treats signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, pigmentation, sagging, and a lacklustre complexion. The actors' MUA, Romy Soleimani, says: "I take it on every single job with me because it's so easy to travel with." The clinical-grade cold laser device is also loved by other A-listers, including the likes of Sienna Miller, Kate Beckinsale, Cynthia Erivo and Dita Von Teese. LYMA Laser's lens has been specifically designed for optimal use on the face, neck and targeted areas of concern, such as knees. It is painless to use, and costs £1,999. The laser promises to speed up the rejuvenation process by 'switching back on' the cells responsible for collagen and elastin synthesis, and increasing energy reserves devoted to detoxification and hydration. The supercharged skin cells are then able to regenerate at a much faster rate resulting in firmer, brighter, younger-looking skin. LYMA also sells a Pro version retailing at £4,995. There are alternatives on the market, for instance, this LED Face Mask Series 2 from CurrentBody i s a market leader at £399. The LED face mask uses red light therapy to boost collagen production for younger-looking skin. It promises to reduce wrinkles by 30% and improve plumpness by 57%. Similarly, BeautyPro offers portable-friendly beauty devices, including its LED Wand Device (£79). The lightweight, LED light device is designed to visibly smooth and firm the look of skin by emitting red light therapy. Returning to LYMA's Laser, brand founder Lucy Goff commented: 'The original version of the LYMA Laser's technology was a gigantic floor-standing machine. Over 120 iterations, we got it down to a portable, painless - and yet incredibly powerful - little device. It's light, and easy to use when at home or on the move, because travel is integral to so many lives. "That's why it's also safe for hand luggage. It truly is the only device you need, and it fits perfectly into whatever routine you already have, whether at home on the sofa or while travelling.' LYMA's Laser has 150 customer reviews. One shopper rated it five stars, saying: "Though I haven't finished the full three months, I am seeing positive results on my 71-year-old skin. Nice smooth texture, lessening of fine lines, and maybe some reductions in my deep wrinkles. I have trouble doing it every day, but I do it 5-6 times a week." They added: "Must say, I do find the treatment very relaxing, and it is something I look forward to doing. I am planning to splurge on the Pro version - cutting the treatment time will help me be more consistent. Thanks for a great product and very responsive customer service." A second wasn't as pleased with the results, writing: "I'm having mixed feelings about this product I do like the laser but for what my reason for it I not sure if it is helping [and] it is a commitment." Another said: "I love it. I am in control of my skin." A fourth commented: "We dermatologists are not big fans of at-home devices. In general we think that clinic based treatments will give faster and dramatic outcomes. I bought this device anyway to treat myself for Christmas. I already had good skin but I was starting to notice sagging skin and signs of ageing. "After two months o fuse (which could have been more consistent but Christmas and holidays happened) I am surprised by the results... my jawline is prominent, skin is more even-toned, overall I feel more confident (certain changes even I can't pinpoint). I am so pleased I took the risk and bought it. Definitely be recommending to my right set of patients."

UNDERWORLD Director Confirms 'Awesome' TV Series in The Works — GeekTyrant

It's been quiet on the Underworld front for a while, but director Len Wiseman has offered a new update on what is currently going in with the franchise, and it involves a TV series that was announced years ago. Speaking with ComicBook during a press run for Ballerina: From the World of John Wick , Wiseman was asked about the series and if it was still in the works, and thbis was his response: 'I'm just gonna say, because I get asked that all the time, I am. Yes. I always say, 'No, I can't really talk about that right now.' But you know what? Yes. We're doing a TV series and it's awesome. 'I've been spending the last two years or so [in the project], now I'm finally getting a little bit of time once Ballerina is fully wrapped up.' When previously talking about the project, he explained: 'The series will be a pretty big departure from the films. I don't want to say it's more adult, but it's definitely less comic book in its tone and character.' This series has already had two years of development behind it and there must be some real momentum behind it right now. Since 2003, Underworld has carved out a moody, leather-clad niche in the action-horror genre, centered around the never-ending war between vampires and Lycans. Wiseman's original film introduced us to Selene (Kate Beckinsale), a vampire "Death Dealer" with a penchant for twin pistols and brooding voiceovers, set against a rain-soaked, gothic backdrop. That first movie lit the fuse for a sprawling franchise full of bloodline lore, betrayal, and supernatural showdowns. Wiseman has remained the creative backbone of the franchise. He directed Underworld and Underworld: Evolution , which deepened the mythology by exploring the origins of the vampire and Lycan clans through the Corvinus bloodline. From there, he stepped into producer and writer roles, contributing heavily to Rise of the Lycans and Awakening , the latter being the franchise's biggest box office success, pulling in over $160 million globally. Now, with the TV series in motion, the franchise has a fresh opportunity to dig even deeper into its lore. Television could be the great format for Underworld , giving room to expand character arcs, explore untapped corners of vampire and Lycan history, and introduce a new generation to the brutal beauty of this supernatural world.

Kate Beckinsale shares agony over loss of step-dad Roy Battersby

Kate Beckinsale has shared an emotional tribute to her step-dad Roy Battersby a year after his death. The Hollywood actress - who lost her biological father Richard Beckinsale when she was five years old - was left devastated when her TV director stepfather passed away in January 2024 at the age of 87 and she shared her pain over the Easter weekend as she would have celebrated Roy's birthday on Sunday (20.04.25). In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "Happy birthday Roy. Given I've been waiting all day can you rise again - ideally tomorrow … that would be great. "You being dead is really f****** wearing now. I love you so very much and I wish you had been here to have your birthday and Easter on the same day but anyway see you tomorrow. I shall be waiting at the mouth of the cave." Kate previously admitted she will always be "haunted" by the loss of both father figures in her life. In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "Finding my father's dead body alone in the middle of the night at the age of five shaped my entire life. Seeing my beloved stepfather die a year ago today will haunt me forever. "It does seem terribly careless to have managed to be present for both deaths and unable to prevent either, the second time trying with every single thing I had. It was not enough. "In the process of losing my beloved Roy I lost family, friendships, at some points my own health, and all the money I had due to how disgusting the American healthcare system is for those who are not insured. "I would do it again. No question. I cannot help feeling that I dreadfully failed - but I am trying to console myself today with all the preparation that he did in the last years of his life, how deeply he studied and practised as a Jungian and how thin the veil is between the energy of this life and whatever is next, that some part of him was at peace with it. "It does feel like a lie I am telling myself to try and feel better, however. Perhaps I am just unfortunately not enlightened enough to sell that to myself over my sense of loss, guilt and failure."
