Colts WR Michael Pittman on progress he's seen from QB Anthony Richardson
Kay Adams and the 'Up and Adams' Show were at Indianapolis Colts' training camp on Sunday. Joining Adams for an interview was wide receiver Michael Pittman. As expected, part of the conversation was around the Colts' quarterback competition, specifically what Pittman has seen from Anthony Richardson this summer. "I think that the way that he's been able to block out all of that outside noise because he's been getting a lot of shots fired at him last year to now and him being able to block that out and show up every single day," Pittman told Adams. "I would just say his preparation, it wasn't bad or not good before, but it's gotten even to a higher level. He's doing everything he can to put himself in the best position possible." Part of that preparation is that you'll often see Richardson on the practice field with his call sheet, getting mental reps in prior to everything beginning. Consistency is ultimately what Shane Steichen is looking for at the quarterback position, but that isn't only referring to each player's completion rate. It's also about how they operate the offense down in and down out, along with their day-to-day preparation. On the field, Richardson has been much more efficient this summer. A priority for him during the offseason was on those short-to-intermediate throws, with Richardson emphasizing his footwork, which is where proper mechanics and accuracy often begins for a quarterback. Pittman has seen the results of that work. "I feel like he's hitting those throws that he worked so hard to master this offseason. You see him making a lot of those touch throws where he's dropping it in over those backers, and over those DBs and he's doing it consistently." Kay Adams' Outfit At NFL Team's Practice Grabs Attention
Kay Adams' Outfit At NFL Team's Practice Grabs Attention originally appeared on The Spun. NFL host Kay Adams continued her training camp tour this week with a trip to the Mile High City. Adams has been a fan favorite in the NFL world since her days on "Good Morning Football." After roughly six years with NFL Network, she jumped over to FanDuel TV and started hosting her own show, "Up & Adams." She took her show on the road the moment training camp started in late July. In just the past two weeks, Adams has met with the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders. Judging by her latest Instagram post, Adams may have enjoyed her trip to Denver's training camp a bit more than the rest of the competition. Adams shared a photo of her sitting on the Broncos' practice field in a brown dress. Her post included a heartfelt message about Sean Payton's squad. "Thank you @broncos for an unforgettable stop 13 on the @upandadamsshow training camp tour," Adams wrote for her caption. "Lots of smiles around here because they know what they have is special & they're putting in the work. A complete team with mile-high vibes going into 2025." Adams believes this year's Broncos team has the chance to contend for a Super Bowl. She even got Payton to compare this squad to his New Orleans Saints roster from 2009. "There are some similarities," Payton said. "Because here's what happened in 2009. Some veteran free agents arrived in key positions, already with a young, talented draft class. But it wasn't just the veteran additions. It was the juju they brought. It was the leadership. Like, when you're around (Talanoa) Hufanga and (Dre) Greenlaw, they bring something very intentional and very serious, and it's like so the better teams that we've ever been a part of have all taken over and run themselves. And this one can do that." The Broncos will kick off the 2025 season against the Tennessee Titans. Kansas City Chiefs DB Trent McDuffie provides an update on his contract negotiations
Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Trent McDuffie recently appeared as a guest on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, giving an update on his contract extension status. "I truly feel like my agent, our relationship has grown so much over these past three years, that is one of my favorite human beings on the planet Earth," said McDuffie, "I feel like I have the best agent ever. He keeps me up to date. If they talk at 6 a.m., (I'm) getting a call at 6:01 a.m. telling me about everything they talk about. Because of that, I feel like I'm just truly allowed to focus on ball, focus on St. Joe, focus on football, and honestly not even worry about the contract." McDuffie was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team selection in 2024. He debuted on the annual NFL Top 100 countdown at No. 81 this offseason, showing increased respect from around the league. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes praises teammates ahead of the 2025 season
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback appeared as a guest on Monday's Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, praising the talent and potential of the new roster heading into the new season. "We have the talent to be the best team we've had," said Mahomes. "You've got to go out there and prove it, and until we prove it, I'm not going to say we're the best, but if we go out there and win that Super Bowl, then we can say we're the best one." The three-time Super Bowl champions' confidence continues to double down on their high expectations for the 2025 season. The brief appearance in the preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals was ideal efficiency of the offense's game plan. The one touchdown pass to Jason Brownlee is a sight Chiefs fans hope to see often with Mahomes hoping to recapture the big-play ability in the passing game. Mahomes finished with 3,928 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, and 11 interceptions last season. In 2024, he had his first as a starter without 4,000 passing yards.
