Terrifying moment tourist spots TWO tornados racing towards UK coast amid storm

Two tornado funnels were seen rushing towards the shoreline before sweeping off to the left at Filey beach in North Yorkshire yesterday afternoon during a dramatic-looking storm A tourist has spotted a whirlpool tornado off the coast of a popular British beach and was shocked at the sight. ‌ He managed to film the action as two tornado funnels were seen rushing towards the shoreline. They are seen moving towards the sand before sweeping off to the left at Filey beach in North Yorkshire at 6.42pm yesterday. ‌ The footage, taken from a cliff-top holiday home at Primrose Valley holiday park, then pans upwards to show huge lightning-filled clouds. ‌ The holidaymaker, and who didn't want to be named, first thought the movement in the water was dolphins before realising it was a whirlpool. The dad-of-one, 38, from Derby, said: "I've never seen anything like this before. ‌ "It was quite concerning as we were in a very vulnerable dwelling with my two-year-old. "It was more worrying when I saw the clouds starting to spin. "My father, 70, said he's never seen anything like it before either." ‌ Back in October a mini tornado hit land and caused damage to homes and uprooting trees in Coventr y. The Mirror reported that Brits were left frightened after the mini tornado which sounded like a "bomb going off" ripped through a suburb. ‌ Homeowner Kay Cooke said she thought her roof would cave in as "bricks came down" at around 6.30pm. While another resident in the Finham area said the fierce winds caused a "massive hole" after a tree collapsed to the ground. One tree, which was around 100ft (30m) tall, crashed into four gardens while other trees were snapped in half "like twigs". The turbulent conditions saw panels "flying off the scaffolding", as residents sought safety in their homes. ‌ Homeowner Kay said: "I thought the conservatory roof was going to come in and the chairs outside were going everywhere. "It was pretty much over within a few minutes and we went to go outside to see what happened but you still couldn't even open the front door because of the wind. "I heard crashing and everything and thought 'what is going on?' as the bricks came down. "I'm insured but I think I'll still have to pay around £300 I imagine. It lasted about five to ten minutes and it was just out of the blue, completely unexpected."
