Who is Rita Ora's mum, Vera Ora? The psychiatrist inspired the singer's duet with Keith Urban, survived breast cancer, and once modelled for a swimwear line by Amoena

Pop songstress Rita Ora 's mother, Vera Ora, seems to have found the fountain of youth. Earlier this week, Vera posted a photograph of herself in Italy for Formula One's Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix 2025 – proudly wearing Adidas Originals, which her daughter had collaborated with for a collection. She's not afraid to try unexpected fashion: last year, the 61-year-old joined her daughter for the MTV EMAs, looking stunning in a classic black and white pantsuit on the red carpet. Rita Ora's mother, Vera Ora, looked stellar in a chic pantsuit at the MTV EMAs last year. But Vera Ora's real profession is far from the runway. So, what do we know about the glamorous Vera Ora, whom Rita considers her role model, and who inspired her duet with country singer Keith Urban , 'Shape of Me'? What's her background? Rita Ora's parents Vera and Besnik were refugees from Kosovo who fled to the UK. Photo: @veraora/Instagram Rita Ora's mother Vera Ora is an Albanian hailing from Kosovo. She emigrated to England with her husband, Besnik Sahatçiu Ora, and their daughters Elena and Rita, before war broke out in the former Yugoslavia. The couple put down roots in London's Notting Hill district and later welcomed their only son, Don, into the family. She's a psychiatrist Rita Ora's mother, Vera Ora, is a psychiatrist. Nicole Kidman rarely talks about her daughters... but she just revealed their 'intimate' discussions

made rare comments about her daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14. She shares her daughters with husband Keith Urban, 57, and in a new cover story with Allure, the actress opened up about how parenting has helped her better understand herself. 'I'm very close to both my girls. I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I get to be their guide,' Nicole, 57, told the publication. The Nine Perfect Strangers star also said she and her daughters respect each other's boundaries. 'If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can. I'm able to apologize to them. I'm able to stand up to them. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I very much like the relationship we have. It's nice to be able to say that,' she said. The Perfect Couple star is known for taking risks with the roles she chooses. She's played everything from a neurosurgeon (Days of Thunder) to a wellness guru (Nine Perfect Strangers) to a victim of domestic abuse (Big Little Lies). But there's one role she says she'll never take on: starring opposite her husband in a movie or television show. 'We're together in life, so we don't need to do our show together,' she told People at the season two premiere of Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers. 'Our life is a show,' she added. She was also asked if she'd be into a role where all the characters she's played before existed in one project. 'That's hilarious. I'd be up for it,' she said. 'As you know, I'm up for most things. I like to be able to say I'm game. So I'm always ready to try things. 'I have a huge passion for what I do. I love doing what I do, and I've been incredibly fortunate in my journey, and I'm just always a bit excited. 'I'm very close to both my girls. I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I get to be their guide,' Nicole, 57, told the publication. Seen here on May 15, 2025 The Nine Perfect Strangers star also said she has boundaries with her girls and they have them with her. Seen on July 30, 2024 'I don't take any of it for granted. I'm like, "Okay, thank you. Thank you, universe,"' she added. The Days of Thunder star also revealed why she was so keen to return to her role as the guru Masha on Nine Perfect Strangers. 'Because she's fun and powerful, and [castmate] Maisie [Richardson-Sellers] said something like, "Masha sharks it." 'So I was like, "What does that mean?" But I think that means she's a shark. She comes in, and I don't get to play sharks very often,' Kidman explained. Nicole has been busy with a steady flow of work over the last two years, appearing in the seductive blockbuster Babygirl, Netflix's murder mystery The Perfect Couple, season two of Lioness, and the romcom A Family Affair to name a few. While promoting her latest film, called Holland, at SXSW Film & TV Festival in March, Nicole said she's ready to take a step back from work. 'I was much more out there last year; this year I have Holland, I have Nine Perfect Strangers, and then I'm off for the rest of year. So, oh well!' she told The Hollywood Reporter. Although Nicole only mentioned two roles to THR, last September Amazon Prime announced that she will star in the mystery thriller Scarpetta, expected to be released sometime this year. She also has a role in David E. Kelley's forthcoming Margo's Got Money Troubles alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer. And viewers are still anxiously awaiting the third season of Big Little Lies (also written by Kelley), which has been confirmed while other details remain unknown. Season two of the buzzed about Hulu series takes place in the Austrian Alps and follows a group who have signed up for a multi-day wellness retreat. They're led by Russian guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman), who uses psychedelic therapy as a healing practice. An official synopsis reads: 'Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? 'Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.'

Nicole Kidman, 57, reveals unusual activity she does with husband Keith Urban that makes her a 'good wife'

spilled the beans on one unusual activity she does with her husband Keith Urban which makes her a 'good wife'. The Eyes Wide Shut icon, 57, revealed the thing she likes to do tends to be while she is at home with her husband, also 57. Nicole - who has been happily married to Keith since 2006 - spoke candidly in a recent interview with Allure. She said: 'I watch car auctions with my husband. That's a good wife.' The Aussie actress also said her nighttime activities might change from time - and it can include a cold plunge in the ocean. 'I love the cold ocean. On Big Little Lies, Meryl thought I was nuts; she would see me in the ocean at 6:00 a.m. every day.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It comes not long after the star suffered a wig mishap while making an appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. While walking the red carpet at glitzy events, she donned a blonde hairpiece - but the wig cap was visible and in another instance, the wig itself was off center. During an appearance on Channel Seven's Sunrise this week, Nicole opened up about opting for wigs. 'As you know, I love changing my hair,' the Big Little Lies star expressed, before bringing up the short pixie cut she chose for the 2025 Met Gala in NYC this month. While some fans initially believed that the star was simply unveiling her natural hair, it was soon revealed that it had also been a wig. 'For the Met Gala, everyone was questioning if I had chopped my hair off. But no, I didn't.' During her interview with Danielle Pergament for her new cover story for Allure for its May 2025 issue, Kidman reflected on getting older. When questioned if aging has been difficult, the actress candidly replied: 'Yes. I've always been a future person, and suddenly you go, "Oh." It's coming to terms with the idea that you have no control over the future.' She continued, 'Probably that's to do with losing people very, very suddenly. I have more time behind me than ahead. 'That shift in the ratio becomes a big thing…. You're just always going, "What is all this?" The existential questions. Who are we? Why are we here?"' The Oscar winner is preparing to celebrate her 58th birthday next month on June 20. Nicole also had a discussion about coping with grief following the passing of her mother last year in September. 'Losing my mother changed every part of me,' she admitted to the outlet, revealing that they would talk to each other multiple times a week. The star explained that her mother's death still feels 'so raw' and added she is still 'on the journey of grief, the year of magical thinking.' The beauty has children of her own and is mom to Sunday, 16, and Faith, 14, whom she shares with husband Keith Urban. During her past marriage to actor Tom Cruise, the former couple also adopted Bella, 32, and Connor, 30. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Kidman gave insight to her loved ones. 'My husband is a massive part of who I am, and my daughters. My daughters are huge, huge contributors to things in my life, and they open my eyes to things.' Nicole has been keeping busy and recently starred in the second season of the Hulu thriller series Nine Perfect Strangers, which she also executive produces. Other cast members in the new season - which began airing this week on Wednesday - include Henry Golding, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Murray Bartlett, Mark Strong and Lena Olin. The premise of the show is: 'Nine stressed city dwellers visit a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. The resort's director is a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies,' per IMDB. During an interview with ABC's On The Red Carpet, the actress reflected on the latest season and her own character Masha. 'It's just such a rich story, which lends itself to many different reinventions, and Masha herself is a reinvention every time,' Kidman expressed. 'I'm in the middle of it all, but I get to shine a light on everybody else who's in it, and this time around, it was this extraordinary cast.' While season one took place in Los Angeles, the setting for season two has changed to the Austrian Alps. The second season of Nine Perfect Strangers consists of eight episodes - with the final set to release on Hulu on July 2.
