North Carolina woman missing after vehicle found outside Death Valley in February
DEATH VALLEY, CA (KLAS) — Officials are asking for the public's help to locate a missing woman whose family has not seen her since November 2024. Her vehicle was found outside of Death Valley three months ago. According to the Inyo County Sheriff's Office in California, officers, along with the Death Valley National Park Service, found a vehicle in a remote area just outside of Death Valley called Slab City in early February. That area, located just off Highway 190, is commonly used by campers during the winter. The vehicle was a white 2009 Chevrolet HHR and is registered to Kelsey Pittman, 33, out of North Carolina. Kelsey is approximately 5 feet 5 inches and 130 pounds with strawberry blond hair and hazel eyes. Deputies and rangers searched the area for Kelsey or anyone else related to the vehicle but were unable to locate anyone. Over the next few months, deputies continued to run record checks to see if Kelsey was reported missing, with no results. Additionally, searches of the area were conducted using the Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, drones, and tracking dogs with no results. After Kelsey's mother reported her missing, she told Sheriff's Deputies the last time anyone had contact with her was in November 2024, when Kelsey spoke with law enforcement in Utah. Are ‘Sneaky Links' Couple Colt and Kelsey Still Together?
Netflix dating shows have a special place in our chaotic reality filled hearts, and the latest one to capture our attention is Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark. The new series dropped on the streamer last week and follows a group of singles who think they are entering a sexy motel to explore new connections, however they're actually there to be reunited with their long term booty calls or 'sneaky links' to see if they can make a relationship work with the existing connection. And the one couple people can't stop talking about are Colt and Kelsey. So what's the tea? Are these two still together since leaving the motel? Here's what you need to know. Colt is a 32-year-old freelance model and sales consultant who hails from Nashville, Tennessee. Kelsey was one of the series' late arrivals and is also from Nashville. She's 24 years old and is a model. Ok so Colt entered the show on day one and was greeted with his previous sneaky link Avery, a 26-year-old recruiter, who he had originally 'dated' in Nashville before appearing on the show. They quickly decided that there wasn't anything in their connection worth pursuing. Colt then got to know Angelique, a 30-year-old law student from San Fransisco. They got on super well and were hands down one of the strongest couples in the early episodes, they were even chosen to get the suite alone for themselves for the night. However, in episode four, a number of new arrivals were introduced to the motel, one of them being Kelsey. Colt and Kelsey immediately hit it off (like making out on the first date) and Colt minimized how much of a connection he had with Angelique. As the season progressed Colt ended up seeing both women, publicly committing to Angelique while also talking to Kelsey, calling her at night. However, then Colt started to question his connection and future relationship with Angelique because of their different religious beliefs. Colt also got irritated at Angelique for having Brandon lick cream off her upper Kelsey doing the exact same to Colt's abs. Angelique had enough of the double standards and ended things with Colt. He then fully pursued Kelsey and they grew pretty close very quickly. They did have some issues as the show progressed. Colt could never give Kelsey a proper answer as to whether or not he slept with Angelique, and when his mom came to visit in the last episode, she said she wanted to teach Kelsey to dress more 'modestly.' But at the end of the season, they chose to leave the motel together, with Colt confessing to Kelsey he loved her. Well, right now we're not 100% sure. As per the rules of the majority of Netflix's dating shows, the cast aren't allowed to reveal their relationship statuses until a few weeks after all the episodes have aired, so we may need to wait a while to find out for sure. The pair both live in Nashville, so from a logistical point of view they could make their relationship work. They also both follow each other on Instagram which suggests they are either together, or broken-up but on good enough terms to follow each other. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for future announcements. Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark is available to watch on Netflix now.

Forward spread of vegetation fire north of Placerville stopped, evacuation order reduced
EL DORADO COUNTY – A vegetation fire forced officials to issue a brief evacuation order and warning on Wednesday afternoon in El Dorado County. Cal Fire said the Mobile Fire was burning off Georgetown Road near the community of Kelsey, located about seven miles north of Placerville. Crews said the fire was at most five acres before the forward progress was stopped around 1:45 p.m. The evacuation order for White Cloud Road was then reduced to a warning, while the warning in the nearby area was lifted. Fire crews will remain at the scene to strengthen containment lines and mop up the fire through the afternoon hours. What caused the fire is unknown at this time.

Kelsey Grammer leads tributes to Cheers co-star George Wendt
Kelsey Grammer has led tributes to George Wendt. The 70-year-old actor admitted he "liked" his late 'Cheers' co-star - who played bar regular Norm Peterson in the show - "a lot", following the news that George has passed away aged 76. Kelsey said in a statement to "I believe mourning is a private matter. "But I liked George a lot. He was beloved by millions." Kelsey portrayed psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane in the NBC sitcom, and he reprised the role for spin-off series 'Frasier', which ran from 1993 to 2004, before returning in 2023. Ted Danson, who played Cheers bartender Sam Malone, admitted he was "devastated" to hear of George's death. He told PEOPLE: "I am sending all my love to Bernadette and the children. "It is going to take me a long time to get used to this. I love you, Georgie." Rhea Perlman, who portrayed waitress Carla Tortelli, has praised the late star as the "sweetest, kindest man I ever met", and admitted she will "miss him more than words can say". She added: "It was impossible not to like him. "As Carla, I was often standing next to him, as Norm always took the same seat at the end of the bar, which made it easy to grab him and beat the crap out of him at least once a week. "I loved doing it, and he loved pretending it didn't hurt. What a guy! I'll miss him more than words can say." George's publicist confirmed the news of his passing on Tuesday (20.05.25) - describing him in a statement as "a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him". The late star had spoken candidly about the impact of the show on his life. He said in a past interview: "I was lucky to be part of something that became such a beloved part of people's lives." George was nominated for six consecutive Emmys for his portrayal of Norm, appearing in every episode until the series ended in May 1993.
