3 language courses at Khwaja university from next session
Lucknow: To cater to students from diverse backgrounds, the
Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Language University
(KMCLU), which already offers technical and professional courses in Indian languages such as Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu, will offer three
international languages
from the 2025-26 session.
KMCLU vice chancellor Prof Ajay Taneja said apart from Sanskrit, Urdu and Hindi, the university will also offer Chinese, Japanese and Pali. At KMCLU, all undergraduate students are encouraged to study at least one Indian or foreign language, enhancing their
communication skills
and cultural competence.
The VC said that the university's
language laboratories
have also been upgraded with advanced technology and language software.
"The university has established four state-of-the-art language laboratories. These labs have modern software and tools to facilitate immersive learning. This aligns with the national vision of transforming lab-based knowledge into real-world applications, echoing the 'Lab to Land' philosophy," he added.
He said, "We offer courses on translation, interpretation, grammar and vocabulary enrichment as part of the regular academic schedule."
