This morning, news broke that Kim Woodburn had died following a short illness. Shortly after, her beloved husband and former co-star shared their tributes to the Celebrity Big Brother icon. Elsewhere, a 'murdered' woman was found after a house exploded in Stoke Newington and our reporter went to visit Jeremy Clarkson's pub to see whether it was worth the hype. ‌ Kim Woodburn dies after short illness as beloved husband and co-star Aggie break silence ‌ This morning, our showbiz team broke the heartbreaking news that Kim Woodburn had died aged 83. The Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here icon, who shot to stardom for her no-nonsense attitude and witticisms on Channel 4 's How Clean Is Your House with Aggie MacKenzie, died on Monday. Her beloved husband-of-46-years Peter, who she lived with in their Nantwich, Cheshire home, is "heartbroken" over the loss of his soulmate. She was described as an "incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person" by her loved ones, who were "so proud" of what she achieved in her career. A representative for Kim shared in a statement: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness." 'Murder' victim found in exploded house named as 'lovely' human rights lawyer A beloved mother-of-two and human rights lawyer has been identified as the woman found with fatal stab wounds after a house explosion this morning. A huge emergency response including six fire engines and 40 firefighters raced to the two-storey terraced house where an explosion had torn through the basement and ground floor of the east London residence. ‌ The victim has been formally identified as 46-year-old mother and human rights lawyer Annabel Rook, whose body was found with knife wound injuries after the explosion. Police arrested an as yet unidentified 44-year-old male on suspicion of murder before taking him to a major trauma centre in London for slash wound treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening, police said. Neighbours told The Mirror: 'She was a lovely lady - a very doting mother. I would always see her walking to school with her children. They go to school just around the corner." ‌ 'I drove 90 minutes to eat at Jeremy Clarkson's pub — two words summed it up' Nobody could have quite imagined the success Amazon would see after releasing Clarkson's Farm. However, fast forward to 2025, the former Top Gear star's agriculture show has just finished its fourth series, with a fifth series already on the way. This season saw Jeremy Clarkson invest in a pub, The Farmer's Dog, so our Deputy Content Hub Director, Steffan Rhys, went to go and check it out. He wrote: "There was a full-blown security and parking operation guiding arrivals into an enormous adjacent field with hundreds, if not thousands, of cars already parked in it. Visitors streamed like ants in formation between car park and pub and the stunned "bloody hell!" I heard from a fellow visitor pretty much sums up what I was thinking too. ‌ "I'd naively thought that, given I had a lunch reservation (secured easily, several weeks earlier, on the pub website) it would be a quiet affair. After all, only so many people can fit in a pub, right? Wrong. Oh, so wrong." Killer who stabbed his partner, neighbour and dog on Christmas Day learns fate ‌ A man who murdered his partner and neighbour and tried to kill his own son in an unprovoked and 'frenzied' attack after taking cocaine on Christmas Day has been jailed for life. Jazwell Brown attacked his partner Joanne Pearson with a kitchen knife at their home in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, at around 6.30pm on December 25 last year. He stabbed her 31 times before turning the knife and a baseball bat on his son Jake Brown, with the youngster remarkably surviving his injuries. Brown went on to repeatedly stab Jo's dog Tilly, a Staffordshire bull terrier, who was later spotted on CCTV limping from the scene. Brown then headed next door to another flat and began attacking Teohna Grant. He also stabbed Teohna's boyfriend 29-year-old Bradley Latter who survived, while Teohna was also pronounced dead at the scene. Police previously said the dog had died, but they have since been informed Tilly survived. ‌ 'LEAKED' Premier League fixtures for 2025-26 season - but fans spot major issues As many football fans await the Premier League 's return, our sports team got their hands on a reportedly 'leaked' list of Premier League fixtures for the 2025-26 season. However, the list - which has been leaked and widely shared on social media platforms - is not as it seems. ‌ As is the case at this time of year, amid growing anticipation among supporters, social media has been awash with claims and fixtures coming to light early. One set in particular have been gaining quite a bit of traction. On the face of it, they look pretty legit. The usual font and layout used when the fixtures are actually released is certainly present. But dig a little deeper and issues arise. Most notable among them are a number of admin errors which, perhaps if you're only casting a casual glance and looking at the opening weekend, or even just for your club's full list, you wouldn't see.

‘Ten minutes every day': Kim Woodburn's top tips for keeping your home clean

Kim Woodburn, the TV personality best known for the Channel 4 daytime reality show How Clean is Your House?, has died aged 83 after a short illness. Along with her co-host Aggie MacKenzie, the pair took people to task on their dirty and cluttered homes. Woodburn's trademark plaited bun and sharp tongue were recognisable by millions, with many finding her cleaning advice invaluable for keeping their homes spotless. Here are her top five tips. Woodburn was well known for not using harsh chemicals, instead preferring natural household solutions such as baking soda and white vinegar. Over the years, these two common household items became something of a trademark of hers, as she appreciated them for their kindness on the skin and gentler impact on the home. The Queen of Clean said in a 2022 interview that to avoid your home becoming like the ones you often see on TV: 'ten minutes every day and you can keep everything manageable.' Little and often was the key – she encouraged people to do just 10 minutes a day or, if they couldn't manage that, to 'clean as you go'. According to Woodburn, wiping down appliances and cleaning up spills straight away are essential in the kitchen. In particular, cleaning inside the fridge every two months with a cloth dipped in warm water and bicarbonate soda are key. 'When you start going over that timeframe, by God, you're asking for trouble,' she said. Along with binning leftover food, these tasks were essential to avoid attracting flies or worse – the unwanted attention of pets. This method catches dust and stops it spreading around the home. Once you're done, wait for it to dry then shake it out outside or into the bin. When giving advice on hosting a house party Woodburn kept it simple: don't have one. For her, a party meant mucky beggars messing up her home. But if you were brave enough (or foolish enough) to ignore her and go ahead anyway, the advice was equally to the point. Her advice? Before the party say: 'This is what's going to happen. I love you, but if you're not willing to adhere to these rules, mate, you can't come.'

Presenter Aggie MacKenzie pays tribute to ‘incredible' and ‘fierce' Kim Woodburn

TV presenter Aggie MacKenzie, who rose to fame presenting How Clean Is Your House? with Kim Woodburn, has paid tribute to her co-presenter, describing her as 'incredible' and 'fierce', after she died at the age of 83. Woodburn, whose death following a short illness was confirmed by her manager, would visit dirty homes with MacKenzie on the Channel 4 show, and proceed to clean them, with the duo sharing tips as they went. In a statement, MacKenzie said: 'Kim was a tormented soul, but now she's finally at peace. We clashed often. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength. 'She survived because she had to. I hope she's resting now. She was an unforgettable woman.' The highly camp show, with its dramatic music and Woodburn's scolding of the offending homeowners, proved a huge hit, turning the two into overnight stars. The show, which ran from 2003 to 2009, led to book deals and other endorsements, with Woodburn appearing on various reality shows. Woodburn appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and was among the line-up for E4's Celebrity Cooking School in 2022. A statement from her manager said: 'It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. 'Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. 'Her husband, Peter, is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. 'We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. 'We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. 'We will not be releasing any further details.' Her husband added in a post on Woodburn's Instagram account: 'My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love.' She finished in third place on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, when Loose Women star Coleen Nolan won and Irish pop twins Jedward were second. The twins, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, said in a tribute to Woodburn: 'Rest in peace Kim Woodburn, you're forever our Celebrity Big Brother friend. 'We grew up watching you and to share those memories together, you will be truly missed for the TV gold you created for all generations. 'You had our back when we got bullied in CBB and we will never forget that. There will never be another Kim Woodburn.' In an Instagram post, the duo posted a picture of them hugging Woodburn on the show. The cleaning guru was regularly challenged over her angry outbursts and controversial attitude during her time in the Big Brother house. Nolan and Woodburn fell out during the show, and Woodburn appeared on Loose Women in 2018 in an attempt to settle their feud but things quickly turned nasty between them. Woodburn broke down as she discussed her traumatic childhood, before walking off the set and branding Nolan 'lying trash'. The clash sparked more than 3,000 complaints to regulator Ofcom, with the majority being about how the Loose Women panel treated Woodburn. During 2009's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! she was among the final three left in the jungle, with TV chef Gino D'Acampo crowned the winner. She had spats with several campmates, retired boxer Joe Bugner in particular, although the two later bonded. But she also took on some stomach-churning tasks in the jungle, chomping down on a kangaroo's testicle during one challenge while campmate Katie Price could only look on. She also managed to down a witchetty grub smoothie in a cocktails trial, after vomiting it back up on the first attempt. Her autobiography titled Unbeaten: The Story Of My Brutal Childhood was published in 2006. She described a miserable childhood spent living between her parents, a succession of children's homes and a convent, before making an escape just before her 16th birthday. But it also described happier times as an adult, including her 'wonderfully happy marriage' and becoming Britain's 'queen of clean'.

The 'Queen of Clean', as Kim was affectionately known after her stint on How Clean Is Your House? from 2003 to 2009, had a well-publicised falling out with Aggie and they had not reconciled before her death. Kim also gained further fame through her appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! ‌ Kim Woodburn has died at the age of 83 (Image: PA ) Aggie has opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her former co-star. She described their off-screen friendship as being like "chalk and cheese". She said: "I think we're chalk and cheese. Because of the friction there was between us, it created this energy and so we knew how to be in front of the camera. ‌ "I mean, most of it was ad lib. We had an idea of the storyline, but we just kind of made it up as we went along. I think for her it's kind of normal to have conflict and I think that if things are calm and easy, I think she found that quite difficult. That's not me, I like it easy peasy. There were lots of highs, and a few lows." Kim and Aggie worked together for six years (Image: Getty Images ) She also recalled a particularly heated argument during a panto performance in Brighton, saying: "We were doing panto in Brighton. We've never spoken since," she said of their explosive fall out. "We were never friends. Far from it. Kim was such a big, damaging part of my life. I feel she almost destroyed me. I know that sounds extreme but she was this massive powerful figure. "I was frightened of her. Everyone was. It's like any bully - they push and push and push. There were no boundaries, no limitations. It was as if Kim felt more entitled to the job, status and money than me. She was the 'main man' and the show could not go on without her. I was ordinary and dispensable." ‌ In a 2019 interview with the Mirror, Kim said: "I have never said anything derogatory about Aggie and I am not going to start now. I am unclear where these false allegations have come from but I wish her all the luck in the world." Following Kim's death, her devoted husband Peter has spoken out for the first time since the tragic news with a profoundly moving final message as he bids farewell to his wife.
