BENEFIT announces the increase of daily transfer limit via Fawri+ to BD 3,000 per account under the Central Bank of Bahrain's directive
BENEFIT, Kingdom's innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, has announced an increase in the maximum daily transfer limit for Fawri+. This update follows the directive issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain to BENEFIT and banks to raise the daily cap for Fawri+ from BD 1,000 to BD 3,000 per account effective on Monday, 21st July 2025. With this new enhancement, customers are now able to transfer up to BD 3,000 to recipients in seconds using the BenefitPay app or through any bank offering the Fawri+ service. This marks a substantial advancement in the digital payment experience and underscores the ongoing digitization of Bahrain's financial services sector. The increase directly addresses the growing demand for instant payment solutions and the evolving expectations of users within today's dynamic financial landscape. CBB 12 Month Treasury Bills issue no. 130 fully subscribed
Manama, Bahrain - This week's BD 100 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been fully subscribed by 100%. The bills, carrying a maturity of 12 months, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is 17th July 2025, and the maturity date is 16th July 2026. The weighted average rate of interest is 5.39% compared to 5.28% of the previous issue on 19th June 2025. The approximate average price for the issue was 94.833% with the lowest accepted price being 94.732%. This is issue No. 130 (ISIN BH0007179565) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD 2.110 billion.

CBB Government Development Bond Issue No.41 oversubscribed
Manama, Bahrain – The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the issue of the 4-year Government Development Bond has been oversubscribed by 267%. Subscriptions worth BD 667.621 million were received for the BD 250 million issue, which carries a maturity of 4 years. The fixed annual coupon rate on the issue, which begins on 9th July 2025 and matures on 9th July 2029, is 6.25%. The Government Development Bonds are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is Government Development Bond issue No.41 (ISIN BH000551W253).
