Annadata Sukhibhav Scheme Announced, Andhra Farmers To Receive Rs 20,000 A Year; Check Eligibility

The scheme will be coordinated with the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme implemented by the central government, providing additional financial benefits to farmers Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the Annadata Sukhibhav Scheme will be launched in May 2025 to provide financial assistance to farmers in the state. Under this scheme, eligible farmers will receive financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per year, disbursed in three instalments. This will help farmers meet their agricultural expenses. The scheme will be coordinated with the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme implemented by the central government, providing additional financial benefits to farmers. The Rs 6,000 provided under PM Kisan is given in three instalments (Rs 2,000 each). In May 2025, along with the PM Kisan payment, farmers are expected to receive an additional Rs 5,000 from the state government. Thus, a total of Rs 7,000 would be credited in May. Similar payments are planned for October 2025 and February 2026, enabling farmers to receive Rs 20,000 in total. In this amount, Rs 6,000 will be from the Centre and Rs 14,000 will be from the State. More Than Just Financial Assistance The Annadata Sukhibhav Scheme will not only offer financial assistance but also other benefits, such as seeds, fertilisers, and compensation for natural calamities. The scheme aims to improve farmers' living standards and strengthen the agricultural sector. The state government has allocated Rs 4,600 crore in the 2025 financial year budget for this scheme. To be eligible, applicants must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh and engaged in farming as their primary occupation. Applicants must fill in an online application form on the official website. The process is simple, and farmers can also check their application status online. The scheme plays a key role in promoting farmers' self-sufficiency. The government will soon announce the application timeline. If it is decided that Annadata Sukhibhav will only be given to farmers already enrolled under PM Kisan, then a separate application process may not be necessary. An official announcement is expected in May. This scheme will be particularly beneficial for small and marginal farmers in Andhra Pradesh. It will provide much-needed financial relief for those who have suffered losses due to natural disasters. Moreover, this assistance can be used to purchase better quality seeds and fertilisers, thereby improving crop yields. The scheme is intended to strengthen the financial condition of farmers.
