Sister Wives' Christine Brown reveals reason she had premarital sex with her husband David Woolley
Christine Brown is opening up about her second marriage to David Woolley. The Sister Wives star, 53, decided to do things differently this time around and have sex with David before they married. That mindset led her to new husband, and Christine says their connection was instant, both emotionally and physically. She explained her reasoning on the Sister Wives: One on One special that aired on TLC on Sunday. Christine talked about how leaving both her polygamous marriage and the Mormon church impacted the way she now views dating and sex. 'Like full on, it was going to happen,' the mother of six said. 'We're going to make love first because I needed to make sure there was going to be physical attraction before I would settle into a relationship with somebody.' Speaking about her husband David, she said, 'What we had was something so special and something so beautiful, we just naturally moved into everything,' the Sister Wives star said. 'I'm a grown woman. I know what I had before, and I know what I want in the future.' And that led her to meet Woolley and they tied the knot in 2023. For his part, Woolley said his wife was 'starving' for physical affection after her marriage of 25 years to Kody Brown. 'This is why we connected so well – what she needed, I could give to her,' he said. As a result of her newfound love, Christine said she's a changed woman and has the 'confidence' that she didn't have during her polygamous marriage. 'I can just be me,' Christine gushed. During the show, she also reflected on her life with Kody and the total lack of chemistry she had with him. 'There was no real emotion anymore,' she said. 'It wasn't a real, true intimacy. He wasn't taking care of me emotionally, romantically, physically, financially – nothing.' She recalled having just one conversation with Kody about their lack of intimacy, and his response made clear that that part of their relationship was over. 'So the next time he came over, I said, "You're done. You're not staying here anymore. I don't want you in my bed,"' Christine recalled. The reality TV star also said that she feels like Kody used her. 'Maybe we just used each other,' she said. 'It didn't mean anything. Maybe just apathetic, probably apathetic. 'It was kind of like, "I guess we just have to." Maybe there was just a need, just a physical need that was met.' Woolley is a 56-year-old father of 8, who may be going on a guy's bonding trip with his wife's ex-husband. On last week's episode of One on One, Kody said he'd like to get closer to David. 'I don't know. I think personally, I think I'm very forgiving and I think that'd be really easy for me,' Kody replied. 'Here's the thing... I had a dirty thought. I thought David and I should go on a guy's trip together. And then I went, no, that would just be so uncool to Christine.' He added, 'I just thought that would absolutely not be fair in any way.' Speaking about her husband David, she said, 'What we had was something so special and something so beautiful, we just naturally moved into everything,' the Sister Wives star said. Seen here on November 21, 2023 Meanwhile, Christine said in her own interview, 'In a whole other world and universe, I thought it would be nice if, you know, Kody and David could get along and just be buddies.' Sister Wives host Sukanya Krishnan then revealed Kody's guys trip idea her and her husband, who tied the knot in October 2023. David replied, 'We could do that,' as Christine agreed, per an account from People, 'You'd have a good time!' David made a note that 'rules' would have to be established, but added that they would be between him and Kody.

Christine also weighed in about the double date proposition, saying she'd be willing to go on a date with Kody and Robyn 'in the future,' but 'right now, no.' She clarified, 'Honestly, I'd have to talk a lot about it beforehand. I'd be a mess before. I'd be like, "I don't know. I don't know if I can do this." And David would be like, "It's going to be OK, you're going to be fine. I'm here. I got you." 'I have a lot of nervousness about that, and a lot of nervousness about being around them right now.' And she said her anxiety is rooted in that Kody 'doesn't know who I am,' adding, 'I don't like what he says about me.' Christine rebounded with David, whom she met on a dating app. After they married, the TV personality gushed, 'I'm happier than I've ever been. I absolutely love monogamy — I was made for it.' In addition to his split from Christine, Kody also lost second wife, Janelle Brown, and first wife, Meri Brown.

"You're always here. You're always a constant. And I always know when you're here," Christine noted of David. "I never knew when Kody would be around. He kept us always in suspense. But not really." Christine also noted an apparent aspect about her past relationship with Kody that she finds "weird and embarrassing." "My life was just wrapped up in what Kody needed and what he wanted and what the family needed and wanted," she told host Sukanya Krishnan. "He didn't just do whatever we were doing."We had to change what we were doing to accommodate him. And that's not OK. That's not fair. That's making it so our lives are focused on him." She added, "And that's frustrating to me. And it's embarrassing that I lived it." More from E! "I felt like they should have divorced for a while," she told Teen Vogue in an interview published May 14. 'I remember one time as a kid, I saw them arguing, and my first thought was, 'I hope they get a divorce.' What kid thinks that, right?" As for Kody, he is done with polygamy. ‘Sister Wives' star Kody Brown honors late son Garrison in ‘deeply emotional' way
Kody Brown is mourning his son's death in a unique way. The 56-year-old 'Sister Wives' star announced the death of his son Garrison, whom he shares with his ex-wife Janelle Brown, 56, on March 5, 2024. Garrison was 25 years old when he died by suicide. In the newest episode of the hit reality show, which aired May 18 on TLC, Kody Brown arrived at Penrose Cemetery in Byron, Wyoming, where the family chose to have Garrison buried. But instead of having the sexton dig the grave, Kody Brown wanted to do it himself. 'Here's the thing. I talked to the sexton of the cemetery, and he's the one that would normally dig the graves,' Kody Brown explained in a confessional, per People. 'I just asked him (for) permission if I could dig it. It means something to me. I don't know why,' he added. 'It's something deeply emotional.' Cameras followed Kody Brown as he, his brother, Scott, and his brother-in-law, Tim, dug a hole big enough for an urn. Kody Brown later admitted that he didn't know how big the urn was because it wasn't made yet. 'Mitch, my son-in-law, married to Aspyn, is making something different and I don't know what it looks like yet,' Kody Brown explained to the cameras. 'For the act of effort in this, because we're not digging a grave big enough for a coffin, I'm going to make it a little bit bigger than certainly that I need for this urn,' he continued. He also wanted 'the experience of doing some real effort' in honor of his son. 'Just trying to honor my son as best I can. I don't even know if it's honor. It's mourning,' he added. The urn, which was later revealed in a clip of the emotional funeral service, was designed to look like a Viking ship due to Garrison's strong interest in Norse culture. His ashes were buried alongside other family members. 'My dad is buried here,' Kody Brown shared. 'My mom will be. Janelle's mom, Grandma Cheryl, is buried here.' 'It's just the place and we can see this mountain over here. It's called the Heart Mountain and it's familiar to me,' he continued. Kody Brown then explained how he wanted Garrison 'buried right next to Cheryl' because she 'nurtured Garrison as much as any of us.' 'And I'm putting Garrison in grandma's arms,' he added. Kody Brown went on to describe digging the grave as 'one of the most important things' he had ever done. 'It's the last ode to my boy,' he added. In a confessional of her own, Janelle Brown, who announced her separation from Kody Brown in 2022, praised her ex-husband for wanting to dig their son's grave himself. 'I thought it was perfect,' she said. 'I think it's symbolic and poetic and all the things to have Kody dig that hole.' Kody Brown was appreciative of his ex-wife's blessing. 'I asked her if I could do this and she was kind and gracious,' Kody Brown added, per E! News. 'She said, 'I think that'd be really sweet,' and I'm glad that she saw it that way because I need this.' Aside from Garrison, Janelle and Kody Brown share five children together, including sons Logan, Hunter and Gabriel, and daughters Savanah and Madison, per People. Kody Brown also shares six children with ex-wife Christine Brown, one child with ex-wife Meri Brown and five children with current wife Robyn Brown.

'I want the experience of doing some real effort here,' he added. 'Just trying to honor my son as best I can. I don't even know if it's honor. It's mourning.' Garrison's grave was placed beside their other dearly departed family members. In the emotional episode, Kody talked about how he and his ex-wife Janelle Brown prepared for their son's funeral following his sudden death from suicide at the age of 25 in March 2024 He rests beside his Grandma Cheryl, Kody explained as he added that she 'probably nurtured Garrison as much as any of us.' Kody and his ex-wife Janelle were estranged at the time of Garrison's death, but the pair put their differences aside to lay their beloved son to rest peacefully. Garrison was their fourth child out of six. They welcomed four sons and two daughters together and have since become grandparents to three too. Kody and Janelle were previously married from 1993, and she joined him in creating a big family through polygamy. In 2022, they separated and filed to end their plural marriage — though they were not legally married through their many years together. The show also gave fans an inside look at the private funeral service the Brown family held for their late family member in Wyoming. He was laid to rest at the Penrose Cemetary in Wyoming, where the family considers to be their home base. In the episode, Janelle also spoke about her heartbreak as she mourned their son. She admitted she was 'just kind of numb' and didn't 'really have many feelings.' 'It's just one of those things that you just wonder, how did we get here? It's just nothing but sad and heartbreaking,' Meri Brown said separately. Kody also noted that 'there's going to be some awkwardness still' while many of their family remain estranged from each other. Later, Mitch Thompson, the husband of Christine Brown's daughter Aspyn Thompson, put his carpentry and carving skills to build an urn resembling a Viking ship to honor Garrison's interest in Norse culture. Many of Garrison's loved ones shared touching words as they laid him to rest. Kody also revealed to the cameras that some family members even brought 'special tokens' with special 'meaning' to be laid with Garrison. 'He's finally here. He's finally at rest,' Janelle said to the cameras at the end of their service. 'It's finished. This part of the journey is finished.'
