Despite a slight dip in collections on its sixth day, the film has grossed over Rs 150 crore within just six days of release, surpassing the lifetime earnings of several big-name productions. This impressive performance has led to an increase in the number of screens showing the movie, expanding from 800 to 2,000 across India. How Much Saiyaara Collected On Wednesday? According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the movie generated an estimated Rs 21 crore at the Indian box office on Wednesday. After five days, Saiyaara has amassed Rs 132.25 crore. Their on-screen chemistry has been praised by audiences and critics alike. The storyline follows their evolving relationship, which faces challenges when Vaani is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. As Vaani's memories fade, Krish remains devoted, using their shared love for music to reconnect with her. Saiyaara Getting A Sequel After Blockbuster Success? Shaan, Who Played Mahesh Iyer, REACTS

Last Updated: Saiyaara fans are speculating a sequel featuring Krish, Vaani and Mahesh. Shaan R Grover responds to the buzz and shares emotional fan reactions. After Saiyaara's box office storm, fans are already dreaming about a sequel and now, one of the film's key characters is reacting to the buzz. While Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's characters Krish Kapoor and Vaani Batra find a fairytale ending in Mohit Suri's romantic drama, fans haven't stopped thinking about the antagonist, Mahesh Iyer, played by Shaan R Grover. In an interview with Zoom, Shaan shared his thoughts on the possibility of Saiyaara 2. 'As far as my character is concerned, a lot can be done later. Mahesh just vanished; it was abrupt," he said, before adding, 'Maybe it can be explored if these characters decide to go on a different journey. What if Vaani wants to meet Mahesh one last time, that could be a different character arc for Krish. There are no talks for the sequel right now. It depends on YRF and Mohit Suri." Interestingly, AI-generated fan art showing Krish and Vaani as parents has been going viral, further fuelling speculation about a sequel. Shaan also revealed how he and Aneet Padda prepared for the emotionally complex dynamic between their characters. 'Aneet and I had chemistry workshops. They were for us to bond with each other. When we have rehearsed, those scenes flow easily," he said. 'It was also to show that we dated for five years. For the backstory in the original script I had read, we had dated for five years and that's a long relationship. It shouldn't have felt that we met 2-3 months ago." On playing a morally grey character, he confessed, 'Of course, it is not easy to play such characters. I am not Mahesh Iyer. That's not how I function… A friend of mine experienced something similar and couldn't stop crying while watching Aneet's performance. Her 7-year-long relationship broke because her partner didn't want to marry and then ghosted her. That's when I realised that people like Mahesh do exist." Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara released in theatres on July 18 and has since crossed Rs 150 crore at the box office. This one wild scene in Saiyaara is breaking the internet

The craze for 'Saiyaara' seems almost unfathomable. The film isn't just dominating the box office, but has also become a full-blown internet phenomenon, with memes, reels, discussions, and passionate debates flooding film groups and content circles. It's clear why: 'Saiyaara' is a love story that speaks to a generation raised on heartbreak, music, and memory. But among all its moments, one scene has found a special place in the hearts of those who have watched particular scene is being shared endlessly online, with many calling it the most touching, gut-wrenching moment of the film. If you haven't watched 'Saiyaara' yet and want to avoid spoilers, you might want to stop reading here. But if you are curious, and don't mind some emotional spoilers - read Mohit Suri's signature style, the scene shows the pain of longing with stunning emotional clarity. We see Krish Kapoor, a superstar at the peak of his fame, sitting alone in a stadium as his team prepares for their first-ever international concert in London. A giant screen plays trending internet content, but Krish seems lost, until a single reel catches his eye. He bolts to the centre of the stadium, stands on the podium, and asks the tech team to zoom in. Everyone watches, stunned, as Krish falls to his knees and breaks down in tears. It's her - his girl, Vaani, on the takes him just a second to recognise her eyes. Tearful, yet sparkling. And in that moment, he knows. He knows what he has to do. Without another thought, he runs. Out of the stadium. Out of the show. Out of everything he had waited his whole life for. He boards a flight to the hills, not even sure if Vaani will recognise him, but none of that because that is what love looks like when it's no longer afraid. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Siya (@lifeinstillness_)The scene is seen as the emotional turning point of the film. It is the beating heart of 'Saiyaara'. For viewers, it's the moment where Krish's pain becomes their own, and the promise of reunion, however uncertain, stands for hope. Unlike the usual tragic romances where someone dies or disappears, there is a sense of a second chance in this fans have turned this scene into an anthem of sorts. For many, this is also where Ahaan Panday comes into his own as an actor. His trembling voice, the crack in his posture, the way he collapses to the ground - feels one scene acts like an emotional nucleus of 'Saiyaara'. A visual representation of love and longing for those who ever waited, or hoped for a second why is this working so much, you ask? Probably because heartbreak never really goes out of fashion. And neither does hope.- Ends

Saiyaara just fixed everything Bollywood broke about love

Let's be honest. Bollywood has been selling us some wild ideas about love for years–the kind where the guy is a 'damaged genius' with zero emotional regulation, and the girl is just there — quiet, loyal, crying in the corner while he throws a tantrum. Enter Saiyaara, a film that doesn't scream love through violence or manipulation, it whispers it through respect, space, and personal growth. Directed by Mohit Suri and led by fresh faces Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara feels like a collective exhale after holding our breath through Animal and Kabir Singh. Ahaan Panday–yes, from that film family–doesn't ride in on nepotism fumes. He shows up with real emotion, vulnerability, and pain as Krish. And Aneet Padda? She's a force. Her Vaani isn't just a love interest. She's a whole, layered woman with agency, a past, and clear boundaries. Let's back up. In Kabir Singh, the hero's idea of romance is slapping his partner, getting high, hooking up with strangers, and still being handed a redemption arc. In Animal, Ranbir's Ranvijay labels himself an 'alpha' while emotionally torturing his wife. And guess what? These women stay. They always stay. Because apparently, that's 'true love.' But, in reality, that's trauma bonding with a Bollywood filter. What makes Saiyaara radical is what it doesn't do. No over-the-top monologues about dying for love. No obsessive texting. No chasing people through airports. Just two people–Krish and Vaani–learning to choose each other after choosing themselves. Krish walks away from a toxic home, gives up on his drunkard father, not out of rebellion but survival. He says, 'Mujhe kuch banna hai, aise gareebi mein nahi jeena.' Vaani, recovering from being ghosted before her wedding, refuses to marry out of fear or pity. Even when Krish proposes to her in hospital, she gently says no. Not because she doesn't love him, but because she doesn't want him to give up on himself. She says, 'Shadi hojayegi kabhi bhi. Nahi bhi hogi toh regret nahi hoga. Regret hoga agar tum apne sapne chhod doge.' ALSO READ | In Saiyaara's final act, Mohit Suri channels the best of Aditya Chopra's brand of romance Let that sink in. A Bollywood heroine says no to marriage because she wants the hero to chase his dreams. When Vaani is later diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she doesn't cling to Krish. She walks away–again, not out of weakness, but clarity. She wants to remember who she is without becoming someone's emotional project. And when they reunite? It's not to complete each other, but because they've already completed themselves. And the best part? Saiyaara never shames you for choosing yourself. It doesn't guilt-trip the characters (or the audience) for walking away from chaos. Instead, it says: if it costs your peace, your dreams, or your identity — it's not love. It's just noise. In a world where Ranvijays and Arjun Reddys are dominating our idea of love, Saiyaara challenges them. It's soft and self-aware. It tells you love isn't about fixing broken people–it's about building something healthy with someone who's also doing the work. This film doesn't glorify pain, it celebrates healing. It tells you that you can take time, walk away, come back, and still be whole. That the right love won't ask you to shrink. It'll see you fully. So maybe, just maybe, Saiyaara is the romantic drama we have been waiting for. Jyothi Jha works as a Copy Editor at the Indian Express.
