Man arrested for supplying drugs to students in Jaipur

1 2 3 Jaipur: A man accused of supplying drugs to students was arrested in the Kardhani area of the city and 7.14 gram of the contraband was recovered from his possession. Police said the accused was peddling drugs in localities around educational institutions. The arrest came during a routine anti-narcotics operation in the West district, where police teams were directed to crack down on street-level drug trafficking. Acting on a tip-off, a team from Kardhani police detained a man found loitering suspiciously in the area. A personal search led to the recovery of 7.14 grams of smack from his pocket. The accused was identified as Nemi Singh Kumhar (45), a resident of Kacchi Basti near the 7 Number Bus Stand, Niwaru Link Road in Kardhani. During questioning, Kumhar confessed to selling smack for an extended period and admitted that students were among his regular buyers. An FIR has been registered under provisions of the NDPS Act, and the contraband has been seized. Police are now investigating the source of the smack and attempting to identify others involved in the supply chain. Officials said intensified monitoring is underway around schools, colleges, and coaching centres.
