New Kunak council premises

The District Council's Executive Officer, Mohd Nazri Pintal, said members of the public may conduct transactions or contact local authority staff here for all matters related to administration, enforcement, engineering, health/environment, finance, and licensing. 'Previously, we operated from a temporary office at Boheyan Plaza Building in Pekan Kunak. A notice regarding the council's office relocation has been issued,' he said. The new building, which costs RM1.8 million, was fully completed in August last year. Kunak councillors urged to be creative, act with integrity

Sabah Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Isnin Aliasnih, said councillors must actively participate in policymaking and problem-solving to ensure effective service delivery. His speech, delivered by Kunak assemblywoman Datuk Norazlinah Arif, emphasized the need for consistent involvement in council meetings and adherence to local by-laws. Isnin also highlighted the importance of integrity, transparency, and impactful ideas to align development with the aspirations of Kunak residents.
