You can't park there, mate! Facebook page tries to humiliate driver for parking his £160K Lamborghini in a disabled spot... but motorist has the ultimate clapback
A man accused of parking his luxury supercar in a disabled parking bay has defended himself with the ultimate 'clapback'. A Facebook page that regularly shares local news and updates in the Torquay area of Devon posted an image of a grey Lamborghini wonkily parked in what appeared to be a Blue Badge designated spot. In the background people could be seen walking around the car park, meanwhile various other cars were parked in allotted bays. Accompanying the photo was a caption that accused the motorist of 'depriving a disabled person of a space' with many adding to the backlash, including one person who claimed the driver didn't have the 'right to take other people's spaces'. 'Have Lamborghini so will park however and wherever I like, even if that means depriving a disabled person of a space' read the full caption. 'Just cause you own a car like that doesn't give you the right to take other people's spaces' exclaimed one person. 'We all pay for parking, whoever it is thinks he's above everyone else' they added. However a multitude of users empathised with the motorist, and pointed out that 'not all disabilities are visible'. 'Disabled people can drive lambos too' stated another. Elsewhere one user debated whether the parking bay could be used by families and said 'they [the motorist] might have their child with them'. Well an updated post certainly proved the 'haters' wrong as it showed an unknown man with a visible disability laying across the floor in front of the luxury sportscar. Tagged with the words 'a picture for all my fans', the image revealed the local to be a double amputee who had both his legs below the knee replaced with prosthetic limbs. In one hand the man displayed a document resembling a Blue Badge - the ultimate 'clapback' to the first post which suggested he wasn't within his rights to park there. A Blue Badge is a parking permit that lets disabled drivers and passengers park in designated disabled spaces. One commenter said the picture was the 'top five of all time'. 'I love this pic'. They wrote. 'I did ask if there was a blue badge. Almost didn't post but I'm kind of glad I did because this is a cracking pic, got to be top 5 of all time'. 'Absolute hero' commented another. 'Keep enjoying your car and winding up the self appointed parking police. People really do need to get a life'. Relating to the situation, one woman wrote: 'Love it. The amount of looks I get when I get out of my Sportage is unbelievable, with my blue badge... But I've gone past caring, especially now I've had a triple heart bypass'. 'You sir are a hero! People are too quick to judge these days' said another. Someone else wrote: 'Absolutely brilliant. Good on you for clapping back'. One person joked: 'Clearly just had his leg taken off just to get easy parking'. 'This made the news, and proven all the haters wrong, legendary' chimed another person. Meanwhile many users claimed they would use bays allocated for Blue Badge display holders whether they had a disability or not. While a multitude of users empathised with the motorist, others initially added to the backlash, including one person who claimed the driver didn't have the 'right to take other people's spaces' Blue Badge parking permits disabled drivers and passengers to park in designated disabled spaces. You automatically qualify for a blue badge if you are blind, receive a war pensioner's mobility supplement or the higher rate of the mobility component of the disability living allowance. All other applications are considered by local authorities on a case-by-case basis. One such reason that you have to qualify is if you have a permanent and severe disability which means you cannot walk or can only walk with severe difficulty. Generally children under the age of two are not eligible for a blue badge, as they are expected to use a pushchair at that age. But children over two may qualify for a blue badge if they have severe mobility problems. Certain children under the age of three may be eligible if they have a disability due to a medical condition and need to travel with bulky equipment, or be close to a vehicle for emergency medical treatment. Family members are allowed to use the blue badge as long as they are present with the disabled relative; using it without them present can result in a criminal conviction and a fine of more than £1,000. The laws for Blue Badge holders recently changed to include those with more hidden disabilities or disorders such as dementia, autism, stress, mental health disorders and anxiety.

BGT star KSI branded a 'terrible person' over awkward date admission
Britain's Got Talent is coming to an end tonight with the final of the 2025 series airing on ITV where a new winner will be crowned, after KSI stood in for Bruno Tonioli at auditions Britain's Got Talent's KSI has been called a "terrible person" after his date confession. The YouTube star filled in a guest judge on the show during this year's series. However, he has now been slammed for admitting that he maybe didn't deal with a dating situation in the best way. The star opened up about a time he went for dinner with a girl but he accidentally forgot his wallet which didn't go down too well. Speaking on Hits Radio, KSI explained the situation to hosts Will Best and Fleur East. He started out by saying he didn't realise until half way through the date that he has gone without his wallet. He said: "So it's when I was single, I went on a date but I accidentally forgot my wallet. So I didn't realise until midway through the date so we were having this date, I didn't really get along with her, we weren't vibing it was kind of awkward. "Obviously, I'd pay. Checked my wallet, there's nothing there, so I was like 'okay how am I going to do this?' So, eventually I told her 'I don't have my wallet'. Now, she's probably thinking 'oh this guy is trying to scam me,' so I promised her I was going to see her again." Fleur replied by saying: "You knew you weren't going to see her again," as KSI confirmed: "I never did." The trio then agreed that what KSI did was "terrible". KSI will be appearing on Britain's Got Talent once again during the final show this weekend. He will be taking to the stage to perform himself. Announcing the news on X the official Britain's Got Talent account tweeted: HE'S BACK!!! Catch @KSI while you can performing at the #BGT Final, coming at you this Saturday 31st May at 7pm on @ITV1,@ITVX and @WeAreSTV." The YouTube star first began his music career back in 2015 with the release of his debut single, Lamborghini, featuring P Money. However, it wasn't his first experience in the industry, having previously written and produced comedy rap songs for his YouTube channel. The boxer joined the Britain's Got Talent panel as a guest judge in February this year as he stepped in for fellow judge Bruno Tonioli who had to miss a few auditions due to schedule conflicts. KSI returned again last week where he was given the honour of Golden Buzzer duties. He chose to use his power to send one act through to the live finals. He was particularly impressed by magician Harry Moulding as he left the judges in utter shock as he performed an incredible magic trick which ended in a romantic proposal in front of the live audience.

Car review: Lotus Emira is a daily sports car
The Lotus Emira Turbo SE can be mistaken for being a million-dollar exotic sports car. ST PHOTO: CHONG JUN LIANG SINGAPORE – The Lotus Emira looks like a mini Lamborghini and, in its latest Turbo SE guise, is even faster than an Italian supercar. Car enthusiasts of a certain age may find the 'Turbo SE' name familiar, with its distinctly 1980s ring. Famously, American actor Richard Gere's character in the 1990 movie Pretty Woman was terrible at driving the Esprit Turbo SE, clumsily crunching the manual gearbox. Kuching police confirm Lamborghini driver reported fatal Jalan Airport accident, not hit-and-run
KUCHING, May 30 — Police have ruled out a hit-and-run in the fatal accident involving a Lamborghini and a pedestrian at Jalan Airport here on Tuesday evening. Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed yesterday that the 54-year-old businessman driving the Lamborghini came forward to lodge a police report within the required 24-hour timeframe. 'The Lamborghini driver lodged the police report an hour after the accident. He did not run but reported the incident,' he told The Borneo Post. He added that the driver was subsequently arrested to facilitate investigation and is now a suspect in the case. According to Alexson, the driver stated that he was travelling from Jalan Airport to Padungan when the incident occurred. Meanwhile, the police have identified the deceased pedestrian as Chinese national Bi Guang Dong, 52, a general worker involved in the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) lane construction. Alexson said Bi was crossing the road when he was struck by the Lamborghini. He was subsequently declared dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Sarawak General Hospital. 'In the meantime, the body of the deceased is still at the Sarawak General Hospital, awaiting claims from family members in China,' said Alexson. Police have classified the case as dangerous or reckless driving that results in death, an offence under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. The Section provides for five to 10 years in jail and a fine of between RM20,000 and RM50,000 upon conviction. Alexson urged witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact investigating officer ASP Lucas Apin on 013-8246881 or 082-259900, or to visit the nearest police station. — The Borneo Post

A wealthy businessman challenging Guyana's president in an upcoming election faces new allegations
GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- A wealthy businessman in Guyana who was sanctioned last year by the U.S. and who plans to challenge the South American country's president in upcoming elections is facing new accusations. Azruddin Mohamed appeared in court on Thursday after being charged with false tax declaration and under-invoicing a luxury vehicle. He pleaded not guilty. His appearance comes just days after he announced plans to challenge the ruling People's Progressive Party by creating a new party with dozens of candidates as the oil-rich country prepares for a general election on Sept. 1. Mohamed, a member of one of Guyana's wealthiest families, used to be a well-known donor to the ruling party. But in recent months, he clashed with tax officials over an invoice he submitted a couple years ago indicating that he paid $75,000 for a Lamborghini, when the government stated it was valued at $575,000. He was freed Thursday on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next month for trial. If found guilty, he could face up to three years in prison. Mohamed, who has been traveling across Guyana to donate cash, vehicles and new homes ahead of the Sept. 1 election, claims he is being targeted for challenging the ruling party. He has alleged that President Irfaan Ali, once a close ally, allowed his vehicle to be cleared from customs with the valuation he submitted. Ali has not publicly responded to those accusations. Meanwhile, Attorney General Anil Nandlall has denied that Mohamed is being targeted and has said that the U.S. supplied the receipt and other information regarding the vehicle. Last year, the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned Mohamed, his father, their gold-exporting company and a government official 'for their roles in public corruption" in a bribery scheme that authorities said ran from 2019 to 2023. U.S. officials accused the Mohameds of evading $50 million worth of duty taxes on gold exports and under declaring exports involving more than 22,000 pounds (10,000 kilograms) worth of gold. Their company also was accused of bribing customs officials to falsify and export documents.
