Razarudin commends police dedication at Asean Summit and LIMA'25
Razarudin commends police dedication at Asean Summit and LIMA'25 New Straits Times KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain praised the dedication of more than 6,200 officers who ensured the smooth and secure running of the 46th Asean Summit. Speaking at the police monthly assembly in Bukit Aman, Razarudin said the successful security operation demonstrated the professionalism of the police force on the international stage. "This agenda not only showcased the country's capabilities in diplomacy and security on the international stage, but also demonstrated the efficiency and professionalism of police officers in carrying out their duties. May the strong synergy among Asean nations help ensure regional peace and harmony," he said. Razarudin also extended his appreciation to the 1,682 policemen who were involved in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA'25), which concluded on May 24. "This prestigious programme clearly demanded exceptional commitment and dedication from the police personnel involved. As one of the initiatives to strengthen national defense, LIMA also served as a platform for technology exchange and for reinforcing security cooperation at the global level. The monthly assembly earlier opened with a solemn tribute to nine members of the Federal Reserve Unit who died in a road accident in Perak earlier this month while on duty. "First and foremost, let us take a moment to reflect and recite Surah Al-Fatihah for the nine heroes of the Royal Malaysia Police from the Federal Reserve Unit Unit 5, Sungai Senam, who lost their lives in a road accident on May 13," Razarudin said.
