Make no apologies: US pop band OneRepublic secured for Lookout Festival
US pop-rock superstars OneRepublic will headline the return of Lookout Festival to Lake Macquarie next year. The Apologize and Counting Stars hit-makers will perform at Speers Point Park on Saturday, February 7, alongside Australian acts Birds of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe, and Sneaky Sound System, with more acts yet to be announced. Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson has also been included as a special guest. Larsson is best known for her electro-pop tracks Lush Life and Never Forget You. While the 27-year-old might be relatively unknown to mainstream Australian audiences, Larsson commands a monthly Spotify listenership of almost 24 million. It's a decidedly more pop and commercial lineup than this year's Lookout Festival, which featured '90s and 2000s Aussie rockers Jet, Grinspoon, The Veronicas, Spiderbait, Jebediah, and Magic Dirt. The Grammy-nominated OneRepublic has amassed over five billion streams on Spotify alone. The Colorado-bred band released their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007. It included the 20 million-selling hit single Apologize, which topped the ARIA charts. OneRepublic has been a regular on the world's pop charts over the past two decades. Their 2022 single, I Ain't Worried, featured in the film Top Gun: Maverick and has been streamed three billion times. Pre-sale tickets for Lookout Festival begin on Wednesday at 1pm, followed by general sale on Friday at 2pm. Real Madrid join race for Bundesliga midfield talent Hugo Larsson
Real Madrid are exploring a move to sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson this summer. (h/t Marca). Los Blancos are already making their moves in the transfer market, securing the signings of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen. They are also in talks to sign Benfica left-back Alvaro Carreras as they look to provide upcoming manager Xabi Alonso with the necessary resources ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup. The Spanish giants are also looking to bolster the midfield, identifying Larsson as a top target. The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising young midfielders in Europe following his stellar performances for Frankfurt. He has been the bedrock of Dino Toppmoler's side this season, featuring in 47 games in all competitions and helping them secure Champions League qualification. Larsson is expected to follow in the footsteps of Omar Marmoush, who sealed a move from Frankfurt to Manchester City for €70 million in January. The Swedish midfielder is valued at €40 million, but the price could go up, with a host of European giants in the mix to sign him. Premier League giants Man City and Liverpool have already expressed their interest in Larsson, with Madrid now joining the hunt. The Swedish talent is an all-round midfielder who excels in many facets of the game, such as defending, controlling the tempo, passing and playmaking. Larsson has been deployed as one of the double pivots at Frankfurt. It could help him easily adapt to Madrid since Alonso is expected to deploy a 3-4-2-1 system, which he used at Leverkusen. Madrid are looking to make a big impact in the Club World Cup following a disastrous 2024/25 season, where they finished trophyless.

Jordan Larsson to make TV debut as Celtic legend's son chosen to star in exciting new series
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JORDAN LARSSON has been tipped to make a stunning return to the Sweden squad after his recent form in front of goal leaves Copenhagen on the brink of league glory. But even if the Celtic legend's son isn't selected by Jon Dahl Tomasson for the upcoming international fixtures, Larsson will still feature on the TV screens back in his homeland this summer. The six-part series follows the lives of some of Sweden's best footballers, including Larsson, and examines what the hectic football lifestyle is really like for young couples and families. The show promises to go behind-the-scenes and provide "unique and personal" insights into the challenges they face on a daily basis, as well as the glitz and glamour of celebrity life. Carolina Neurath, who is married to former Swedish international Pierre Bengtsson, will present the programme. Other players participating in the show include Ken Sema, Patrik Crlgren, Rickard Magyar, Erik Berg, Isak Hien and Marcus Danielson. The first episode will premiere on SVT on July 21 but it's unclear when Larsson and his wife will feature. The Copenhagen forward will no doubt have plenty to say having been surrounded by the sport his whole life. Larsson grew up watching his legendary father at Celtic and was eight-years-old when Henrik was the hero for Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League final against Arsenal. The Hoops great came off the bench to provide two assists late on in the Stade de France to seal a 2-1 win and deny Arsenal their first Champions League trophy. And Larsson Jnr could be the man to lead his own team to silverware this season, with Copenhagen just one game away from lifting the Danish top flight title. +++DO NOT USE+++Celtic legend Henrik Larsson gets emotional on stage as fans spontaneously belt out song The 27-year-old was a bit part player for most of the campaign but he couldn't have picked a much better time to find his shooting boots. The forward has followed in his father's footsteps by turning up when it really matters, having scored five goals in the last five games in the play-off stage. Copenhagen are now four points clear going into the final game of the season but closest challengers FC Midtjylland do have a game in hand. Should the second-placed outfit lose to Brondby tonight then Copenhagen will be champions. Larsson could then make it a double on May 29 as Copenhagen face Silkeborg in the Danish Cup final. PVH CEO Stefan Larsson's Pay Rises to $16.3M
Stefan Larsson, chief executive officer of PVH Corp., saw his compensation package increase 4.3 percent to $16.3 million last year. Most of that came in the form of stock and option awards, which were valued at a total of $11.6 million, although the actual payout will depend on how PVH's shares perform, linking Larsson's pay to the shareholder's pocketbook. More from WWD Tommy Hilfiger Taps K-Pop Star Jang Won-Young as Brand Ambassador and Star of Tommy Jeans Campaign David Savman Named Calvin Klein Global Brand President as Eva Serrano Exits Safilo Posts Q1 Growth Amid Supply Chain Diversification and Resilient European Market The CEO also received a salary of $1.4 million and incentive pay of $2.8 million. Larsson took the helm of PVH in 2021 and is in the midst of thoroughly remaking the company. The Heritage Brands division was spun off, the longtime licensing deal with G-III Apparel Group is being unwound and the company is focusing all of its attention on supercharging the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein businesses with its PVH+ strategic plan. 'Everything starts with product, and we further improved the relevance and sell-through of our fall 2024 assortment across both brands,' Larsson said in a letter to shareholders detailing the company's progress on its plan. 'We stood up our global product kitchen for Calvin Klein and created a very strong product assortment for Tommy Hilfiger, which launches in fall 2025. 'We connected both Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger to the zeitgeist through our marketing, while continuing to elevate our presence in the marketplace across channels,' he said. Last week, PVH made a big change atop Calvin Klein, naming David Savman global brand president. Savman, who had been global head of operations and chief supply chain officer, took over from Eva Serrano, who had been in the brand's top job for just over two years. While the brand has been taking on a higher profile, with splashy ad campaigns featuring Bad Bunny, Jeremy Allen White and Kendall Jenner, it took longer than expected for it to transition to a 'global product kitchen' approach, causing delays.
