Lava today expanded its portfolio of Blaze series smartphones with the unveiling of the Lava Blaze Dragon. The Lava Blaze Dragon is a budget smartphone, which is "designed for today's youth" and is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard, and it runs Android 15 out of the box with "zero bloatware." Lava has promised one OS upgrade and two years of security updates for the Blaze Dragon. The budget 5G smartphone features a 6.74" 120Hz HD+ LCD with a peak brightness of over 450 nits, and it's fueled by a 5,000 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port at up to 18W. For photography, you get an 8MP selfie camera on the front and a 50MP primary camera on the rear, accompanied by what could be a depth unit. The Lava Blaze Dragon also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for password-less unlocking of the smartphone. Lava Blaze Dragon's color options The Lava Blaze Dragon comes in Golden Mist and Midnight Mist colors and carries a price tag of INR9,999 ($115/€100). Lava has officially launched its latest budget 5G smartphone — the Blaze Dragon 5G — in India. After teasing the phone over the past few days, the Indian brand has now revealed everything, including the price, availability, and full set of features. The phone is priced at Rs 9,999 and comes in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The sale starts from August 1 on Amazon, and buyers can also get an additional Rs 1,000 exchange bonus as part of the launch offer. To recall, the Blaze Dragon follows up on the recently launched Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite Lava Blaze Dragon 5G comes in two colours — Golden Mist and Midnight Mist — and features a design that keeps things simple while offering a modern look. The company is clearly aiming this phone at first-time 5G buyers or those upgrading from older 4G phones.
