Is Kris Jenner's age-defying look AI-manipulated? A plastic surgeon claims so
has been making headlines - not for any drama- but her age-defying facelift, which is hailed as a jaw-dropping transformation. However, a renowned plastic surgeon has raised his eyebrow and has claimed that the look is morphed with AI to create unrealistic expectations, because these are not normal results. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now 'What did Kris Jenner do, and when can I get an appointment?' According to the Daily Mail, when the 'momager' appeared in Paris in the previous month, she sent shockwaves through the internet with her mind-blowing face transformation, where the netizens claimed she now looked 20 years younger. The question that surfaced everywhere was: 'What did Kris Jenner do, and when can I get an appointment?' Kris Jenner's surgery is... AI-manipulated? The 69-year-old's representatives later confirmed that she had taken an appointment with New York's surgeon, Dr Steven M Levine, to get the magical look. However, an Instagram post has been going viral with more than 692,000 views, where another plastic surgeon, Dr Gary Lawton, stated that Kris Jenner's pictures have been tainted with AI tools and morphing software to achieve the unrealistic look in pictures and videos. The San Antonio-based plastic surgeon showcased the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star and said that the look defies all the surgical and anatomical realities. Lawton, who is known to debunk beauty trends and offer practical advice, said, 'There is no possible way that this is a surgical transformation.' What did Dr Lawton say? 'The problem is that people have seen her in person. If you look at the images, there is no possible way this is a surgical transformation,' he said before giving an anatomy for her impossible surgical procedure. 'That kind of extensive restructuring, the precise symmetrical, idealised geometry suggests digital manipulation, AI-generated or heavily retouched images,' he added, before concluding, 'Neither mid-facelifts or fillers can produce this kind of flawless surface, devoid of any subtle depressions or textural inconsistencies.'

'I've loved every minute': Emma Lawton reflects on a meteoric rise with Celtic
Scotland and Celtic defender Emma Lawton says she's still pinching herself after her achievements in her first season as a professional footballer. The 23-year-old has gone from part-time football to scoring for Scotland on her Hampden debut in a whirlwind of a season that ended with her as an award-winner lauded by her peers. Lawton started this season at Partick Thistle but sealed a dramatic deadline day move to the then SWPL Champions Celtic. In a season to remember, she established herself as a first-team player, gained Champions League experience, and then made a splash on the international scene with her first appearance for her country playing away against Austria in February. Days later, in her second international, the right-back opened the scoring against Netherlands at Hampden to continue her rapid rise. Little wonder the Celtic star was voted as PFA player of the year. 'It's been really enjoyable,' Lawton told STV as she reflected on a season to remember. 'Coming in, I didn't really have a lot of expectations of how it would go for myself. 'But I've loved every minute. I think, obviously, as a team, we had the highs of the Champions League in the first half of the season, and obviously second half hasn't been great. 'But personally, I have loved being a full-time football player, which is what I've always dreamed of being.' Lawton started out kicking a ball around in the garden with her cousin, but it was early experience as the only girl in a youth team that helped build resilience that's an important part of her game today. 'Starting out in a boys' team, nobody passed me the ball and stuff,' she revealed. 'But I just loved the game, and I just stuck it out. 'It was challenging at first, not getting the ball passed to you. But then I think as soon as they did, they realised 'actually, she can play'. 'It just built up that resilience in me. I think I always knew I could play, and it just gave me that inner confidence, and it kind of put me on a platform where I just had to believe in myself, and I didn't need anybody else to tell me stuff. 'I always just knew within that I could do it.' That grounding set Lawton on a path to the senior game with time at Partick Thistle before a brief spell at Manchester City in the Covid spell, and at Motherwell before a return to Thistle. On deadline day this season, an opportunity to step up came in the form of an offer from Celtic. Lawton said she couldn't sleep the night before making a move that came unexpectedly. Weeks later, she was playing in the biggest club competition in Europe. 'I'm going to be honest, it's all a bit of a blur,' Lawton admitted. 'I think I scored in the Champions League two weeks on from when I'd signed, and then we got into the group stage, obviously from that game. 'A month from that game, I was playing away at Real Madrid. It was a 'pinch me moment'. 'You dream of playing Champions League as a young player, but I never thought I would actually be able to do it. To do it so quickly in my Celtic career is a proud moment.' Scoring for Scotland was another treasured moment. Signing for Celtic, I never thought what would happen this season would happen,' she said. 'Getting picked for Scotland was an honour, but then to start both games, and then score at Hampden, it was special. 'I had all my family there, and it's something that will live with me for a very, very long time.' Now the international defender is setting new targets and having new dreams, as she hopes to help the national team and take her rise to new heights. 'I think the future is bright for Scotland and hopefully we can achieve that majors finals,' she said. 'It's what the country deserves, and we've got the players to do it.' Sanford cops resign, another suspended over botched response to knife attack at gas station
Two Sanford police officers resigned and another was suspended after video surfaced showing officers hesitating to rescue a gas station employee held by a knife-wielding man in a restroom, the police chief announced Thursday. Body-worn camera videos that captured circumstances of the June 1, 2024, incident at RaceTrac on South Orlando Drive alarmed Chief Cecil Smith, who opened an internal investigation after footage was posted March 2 on YouTube by a vlogger. The video showed officers Dominick Delorbe and Geovanni Castro waiting several minutes for backup outside a hallway leading to the restroom while a female employee trapped inside begged for her life. Two other officers later joined them and they then moved to rescue the woman. She was found clutching the blade of the box cutter held by Randal Lawton, who surrendered once police entered the restroom with guns drawn. Lawton, 63, awaits trial on charges of aggravated battery and kidnapping and remains in the John E. Polk Correctional Facility on a $50,500 bond. Speaking to reporters Thursday during a news conference, Smith said Delorbe, the veteran officer at the scene, issued a letter of resignation before he could be fired for failing to respond to an active assailant. Castro, a probationary employee at the time, was issued a 60-hour unpaid suspension for the same policy violation because the investigation revealed Delorbe 'failed to provide the additional information needed' for him to act, Smith said. A third officer, Francisco De La Rosa, seen in video footage joking about Lawton's mental state, resigned before the internal investigation. Smith said had De La Rosa gone through the investigative process he likely would have received a written reprimand. Meanwhile, two supervisors who spoke with the officers after the incident, Miguel Francis and Chafic Nsouli, were disciplined with a 'letter of counseling' for not informing higher-ups, including the chief, of what took place. Smith said the supervisors initially were cleared by department investigators but he overturned that decision because he felt they should be 'held at a higher responsibility than the officers.' 'This was a mistake, and I think one of the most important parts about any leadership is that we accept the fact that there was a problem,' Smith said. 'We've seen that there was an issue and we've effectively put things into place to make sure that those issues don't happen again.' News outlets were first made aware of the incident by a post from the account of EWU Bodycam, which describes itself as a news agency that publicizes body camera videos from law enforcement nationwide. Smith said at the time he didn't know of the incident until clips were posted. 'You don't want me to tell you what I said,' Smith said of his response to the YouTube video. 'It wasn't very good. It upset me.' The March post from EWU Bodycam showed the officers hesitating as sounds could be heard of the woman screaming. However on Thursday, Smith clarified that audio of the 911 call had been dubbed over the body camera footage to create that effect. In fact, Smith said the officers did not hear that call at the time. But the woman — whose name the Orlando Sentinel has not published because she's a victim of a crime — can be heard in the original body cam footage begging Lawton to free her as officers stood by wondering what to do next. The original affidavit describing Lawton's arrest, filed long before the video surfaced online, never mentioned the lack of response by Delorbe and Castro to the ongoing attack. Instead, it suggested officers went in to rescue the woman when they heard her cry for help. That's contrary to what was shown on video — with one officer describing the situation as a possible 'setup.' 'I hope he ain't killing her in there,' a customer said as he watched the officers. Rather than go in, one officer shouted: 'Sir, can you come out with your hands up?' In the aftermath of Lawton's arrest, Delorbe and Castro spoke to other officers at the scene and were told they didn't need to wait for backup to apprehend him. Indeed, department policy requires officers take 'immediate action' based on available information. Since the video's release, Smith's officers are redoing active assailant training, the second phase of which is set to begin in June. He added that his department is working to ensure supervisors review body camera videos 'more often, more accurately and more in detail' while requiring similar incidents be reported to internal affairs or himself personally. 'There will be no more hesitations,' Smith said.

First-time MP Andrew Lawton wins seat in Elgin-St. Thomas London South
Former journalist and radio host Andrew Lawton has claimed the seat in the new boundary riding of Elgin-St. Thomas London South. Around 11:10 p.m Monday, CTV News declared the riding would stay Conservative blue, shortly after, Lawton arrived at the Columbus Club of St. Thomas to a rousing ovation. He received 50.2 per cent of the vote, defeating David Goodwin who received 43 per cent. 'Every single day we knocked on thousands of doors,' says Lawton, saying he was able to tune out the negativity online surrounding his past by connecting with people in person. 'When you show up at their door and say what matters to you? They have an answer. These are people that oftentimes don't even know whether their issue is with the provincial government, the federal government, and the municipal government. They know that something's not working, and I was really wanting to tell them what my solutions were and what I'm going to do for them if I get elected.' This is the eighth consecutive election this riding has been won by the Conservative Party. 'I would have loved to have seen a Conservative majority government, but at the end of the day, my first priority is to serve the constituents and advocate for the platform that they voted for,' says Lawton. He says the issues is the previous government ignored rural communities, the agricultural sector and manufacturing. He says those are pivotal in this riding. He adds he will be moving into the riding with his wife now that he's been elected. 'This has always been a riding that I wanted to devote my heart and soul to serving,' says Lawton. 'I plan to live in the riding. I plan to serve it, and I plan to do the best job I can'. He also thanked Karen Vecchio for her time serving as a three-term MP and her work with current mayor Joe Preston while he was the MP. 'It was painfully obvious coming into this that there would be big shoes to fill, and I intend to work as hard as I can to ensure that that legacy of community representation is alive and well,' he says

Elgin-St. Thomas-London South: Ex-radio host Andrew Lawton wins
ST. THOMAS – Controversial Conservative candidate Andrew Lawton was elected MP Tuesday night in a redrawn London-area party stronghold. Polls reported slowly Monday evening, but Lawton never lost his lead over his three opponents in Elgin-St. Thomas-London South – a riding slightly recast and renamed from the former Elgin-Middlesex-London – including Liberal rival David Goodwin. At around 11:10 p.m., applause erupted among about 75 people gathered at an election party at the Columbus Club in St. Thomas amid news the riding had been called for Lawton, a former radio host. Cheers erupted again about five minutes later when Lawton arrived with his wife, a London Free Press employee. Lawton greeted supporters before making his way to the front of the room. 'The people have spoken,' Lawton said. 'This is the honour of a lifetime to be able to serve our riding, to serve our community and to serve our country in the next parliament.' In his speech, Lawton lamented the evening as 'bittersweet,' noting the projected Conservative second-place finish nationwide. Postmedia's decision desk projected Mark Carney's Liberals would form the next government. Lawton commended his opponents, lauding New Democrat Paul Pighin for his advocacy of marginalized communities, People's Party candidate Stephen Campbell for having the 'courage to put his name on a ballot' and Liberal Goodwin for stressing the importance of 'local and community representation in politics.' Goodwin, the only candidate with a real shot to beat Lawton, thanked his volunteers and supporters, acknowledging it was a difficult riding for a Liberal to win. 'I'm very proud of the campaign we ran, and am grateful to our volunteers and supporters,' Goodwin said by email . 'We knew it was an uphill battle, this being a conservative stronghold. It was a great experience.' Lawton continues a legacy of Conservative representation in the area. Before Elgin-St. Thomas-London South was created, Elgin-Middlesex-London was held by Joe Preston, now St. Thomas' mayor, from 2004; Karen Vecchio succeeded Preston in 2015 and retired after a decade in politics.. 'I will fight for this country and you will always have an advocate for freedom as long as I am your member of Parliament,' Lawton told supporters Monday night. Lawton overcame controversy from his past comments to claim victory. It comes seven years after an unsuccessful 2018 for Ontario's Progressive Conservatives in London West. bwilliams@
