3M Open will remain in Twin Cities through 2030

3M and the PGA Tour extended their title partnership deal on Monday, which will keep the annual 3M Open golf tournament in the Twin Cities through 2030. The event has been played at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota, since 2019. Last year's winner was PGA veteran Jhonattan Vegas, but past winners include Lee Hodges, Tony Finau, Cameron Champ, Michael Thompson and Matthew Wolff. "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with 3M and a passionate Minnesota fan base that supports every sport in every season, including the 3M Open from day one," PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement. "That same passion from 3M is on display each summer as they invest in their community and positively impact lives through the 3M Open." The 3M Open succeeded the 3M Championship, which was a senior tour event from 1993 to 2018, played at TPC Twin Cities from 2001 to 2018. Blaine will now host an annual event on the traditional tour for at least five more years. This year's event will take place on July 21-27, and the official field will be announced later this year.
