Football legend Michael Owen will coach your child for free at a resort in the Maldives. — Handout Imagine your kid getting coached by one of football's legends, but instead of being on a football pitch, you're actually on a beautiful island. Well, you can soon make this a reality for your child and yourself. This October, a resort in the Maldives is offering its young guests the opportunity of a lifetime – to train with Michael Owen, one of England's most celebrated footballers. This exclusive kids' football camp will take place from Oct 20 to 23 at the Avani+Fares Maldives Resort. Children aged 15 and under who are staying at the resort during this period can join the camp for free. There's also a special awards ceremony on Oct 24, complete with medals and certificates for all participants. Owen, who's played for top football clubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid, is a recipient of the Ballon d'Or 2001 award. 'Whether they're taking their first steps on the pitch or refining their skills, this camp is all about fun, teamwork, and learning in one of the world's most beautiful destinations,' he said in a press statement. For more information, check out the resort's website. Take a stroll at the world's first Lego Flower Garden at Legoland Malaysia Resort. Brick fun For somewhere closer to home, families can spend quality time together at the newly-launched Lego Flower Garden at Legoland Malaysia Resort in Johor. The first of its kind in the world, the 380sq m garden invites families to escape into a world where nature and imagination bloom together. Here, 792,000 Lego bricks recreate 58 species of flowers – from orchids to cherry blossoms and sunflowers. Towering within the garden is a Lego rafflesia, the world's largest flower, which is native to South-East Asia. Wandering through the paths, visitors will find Lego butterflies, birds and even frogs hidden among the petals, while discovering some fun flower facts throughout the garden. There are also various photo spots, including the vibrant Feature Wall or whimsical Dome. For more hands-on fun, kids and parents can join the Master Model Builder Workshop, learning how to turn everyday bricks into floral art. Visitors can also create their own custom flower bouquets. Visit Legoland Malaysia's website or social media pages (Facebook, Instagram) for details.
