Multi-talented actor Vijay Antony's upcoming film 'Maargan' is gearing up for release. Directed by Leo John Paul, the film is produced by Vijay Antony Films Corporation and presented by J. Ramanjaneyulu under Sarvanth Ram Creations. Touted as a murder mystery crime thriller, 'Maargan' is set to hit theaters on June 27. Top directors often work with him as an editor—he's one of the best. I liked his storytelling style when he narrated 'Maargan' to me. Everyone loved the trailer. I'm launching my sister Jaya's son Ajay with this film. He previously worked as an assistant director for 'Bichagadu 2'. Impressed by his dedication, I gave him this opportunity. Ram sir has been a good friend of mine for many years. He released my first Telugu film 'Nakili' and has supported me ever since. Now, he's releasing 'Maargan'. Soon, 'Bhadrakaali' will also come. When my films release in Telugu, Bhashya Shree Garu handles everything—this is our 12th collaboration. Deepshika's role will impress everyone. Brigida is a talented actress. Vijay Antony's Maargan trailer promises a gripping investigative, fantasy thriller!
The makers of director Leo John Paul's investigative fantasy thriller 'Maargan' on Monday released the trailer of the film, featuring actor Vijay Antony in the lead, much to the delight of fans and film buffs. The trailer shows that Vijay Antony plays a cop called Dhruv from the Mumbai police in the film. Dhruv, who has suffered a personal loss, takes it upon himself to track down a serial killer who seems to be targetting young girls. The killer apparently injects the victims with a drug that leaves the bodies of the victims charred. As the cops close in on a suspect and begin interrogating him, they realise that the person they are dealing with is someone who is way more powerful than what they presumed.... 01:17 Maargan - Motion Poster Talking to IANS about the genre of his film, well known editor Leo John Paul who turns director with this film, said, "Forty per cent of this film will centre around investigation. The remaining 60 per cent will revolve around mystery. To put it correctly in English, it will deal with astral travel. Fantasy is a favourite genre of mine as it helps me see cinema in a larger than life manner. So, combining both fantasy and an investigative thriller in equal measure, we have made this film." Vijay Antony's Maargan to release in June
The makers of Vijay Antony's murder mystery crime thriller, which was earlier titled Gagana Maargan, have renamed it Maargan. It has also been announced that the film will be released in theatres on June 27. The film marks the directorial debut of editor Leo John Paul, who is known for his work in the first two Pizza films, Attakathi, Soodhu Kavvum, Mundasupatti, Thegidi, and Indru Nettru Naalai. He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Editor for Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, starring Vijay Sethupathi. Leo himself serves as the editor for the film and Vijay Antony is its music composer. The rest of the technical crew comprises cinematographer Yuva S and art director Raja A. Maargan's cast also includes Samuthirakani, Mahanathi Shankar, Prithika, Brigida Saga, Vinodh Sagar, Deepshikha, Archana, Kanimozhi, and Anthagaram Natarajan. Releasing in Tamil, the film is also expected to be screened in Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu. Maargan is produced by Vijay Antony Film Corporation.

However, on Wednesday, the makers clarified that their film would henceforth be called 'Maargan' and not 'Gagana Maargan'. Following the intriguing first look and the recently released single 'Solliduma,' the 'buzz' around Maargan has grown.
