Caitlin Clark's Animated Behavior Following Pacers-Knicks
Caitlin Clark's Animated Behavior Following Pacers-Knicks originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark summed up what all of Indianapolis was feeling after Saturday's NBA playoff game. Advertisement The Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, 125-108. As a result, Tyrese Haliburton and company officially closed out the series, 4-2, and earned an NBA Finals berth. Clark, who was in attendance at the game alongside Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull, was among the first ones to react to the victory. On her Instagram Stories, she posted a video of the final seconds of the game along with the caption, stating, "FINALSSSSS." Aside from that, though, the WNBA star's live reaction to the Pacers' win was also caught on camera. As the whole Gainbridge Fieldhouse was celebrating, Clark was seen really hyped up, even going as far as flexing and shouting her lungs out. Sure enough, fans loved her reaction, with many simply happy to see her cheer for the Pacers and feel that she's part of the team. Advertisement "She feels part of it," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "She so happy for Pacers!" "Ha! Love that she is so supportive of the team. Makes me feel a bit old though. The year I moved to Indiana is the same year the Pacers last made the finals. Clark wasn't even born yet," a fan added. A supporter shared, "She's an awesome fan." "Indy's Wahoo Queen," a social media user described Clark. "Indiana is on top of the basketball world," a sixth poster remarked. Caitlin Clark Had Three Words for Teammates After Fever Loss
Caitlin Clark Had Three Words for Teammates After Fever Loss originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Caitlin Clark injured her quad several days ago, and as a result, she has sat out the Indiana Fever's last two games. She's expected to miss a total of about two weeks. Advertisement In a 40-game WNBA season, that could possibly cost the Fever home-court advantage deep into the playoffs. They have lost their first two games without her, including an 85-83 setback at the hands of the Connecticut Sun on Friday. But Clark's spirits seem to be high despite her injury. A photo of her with teammates Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham was seen on Instagram, and she reposted it with a simple two-word message. "Work wives," Clark wrote. Caitlin Clark, Instagram She also responded to a similar post on X. "I wuv them," Clark wrote. Hull, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Stanford, is part of an impressive young core that Indiana has put together. She has become a legitimate 3-point threat over the last year or two, and so far this season, she's averaging 9.8 points while shooting a very impressive 50.0% from 3-point range. Advertisement She was the No. 6 pick in the 2022 draft after winning a women's NCAA championship in 2021 at Stanford and making the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team twice. The shooting guard was a three-time First Team All-SEC selection (2017-2019) back in Missouri. After acquiring Cunningham and veteran All-Stars Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner this offseason, the Fever entered the new season with legitimate championship aspirations. They will have to find a way to tread water without Clark in order to keep their championship hopes alive and well. Caitlin Clark Makes Public Appearance After Indiana Fever's Third Straight Loss
Caitlin Clark Makes Public Appearance After Indiana Fever's Third Straight Loss originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever are going to have to figure out how to win games without Caitlin Clark for a while. Advertisement She has been out of action with a strained quad for their last two games, both of which they lost. They also lost guards Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson in Friday's defeat at the hands of the Connecticut Sun, which has left them thin in the backcourt. But Clark is still present despite her injury, and she was seen at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the Game 6 of the NBA's Eastern Conference finals between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks, along with Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull. The Pacers have the opportunity to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals with a victory in this game. However, if they lose, the series returns to Madison Square Garden, and all signs would favor the Knicks taking Game 7 at that point. Advertisement Overall, the Fever have lost three games in a row and hold a disappointing 2-4 record. Their slide began with a 90-88 loss to the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty a week ago. In that game, they blew a sizable second-half lead, and Clark failed to shoot the potential game-winning 3-pointer. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and New York Liberty guard Natasha CloudTrevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images Friday's loss against the Connecticut Sun was also frustrating for Indiana. They trailed throughout the second half and made a rally in the closing minutes, but they couldn't finish the job and fell by two points. Boston, a two-time All-Star forward, is one woman who needs to step up in Clark's absence. Versus Connecticut, she shot 8-of-10 from the field and scored 17 points, to go along with eight assists. Lexie Hull's Message to Sophie Cunningham That Has Nothing To Do With Basketball
Amid the massive Indiana Fever roster overhaul around Caitlin Clark during the WNBA offseason, new guard Sophie Cunningham has wasted no time fitting in. The returning Fever star who deserves some credit for the assist in Cunningham's transition is not the point guard Clark, but rather fourth-year player Lexie Hull — whose off-court interests have clicked with her new teammate right away. Advertisement Clark, Hull, Cunningham and the rest of the Fever will debut their new look on the floor against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in their first game of the 2025 season, which promises to be one of the best of opening weekend. Indiana Fever guards Sophie Cunningham (left) and Lexie Hull (right) during Indiana Fever media Tannous, Grace Smith-IndyStar/USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Ahead of the big game, Hull sent a personal message to Cunningham publicly via her Instagram story. It had nothing to do with basketball, but underlined the chemistry of the Fever "twins" off the court. Hull shared a post featuring a meme of Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner that had multiple captions, but the one about "a UV index of 8 and a beveragino" caught her attention and urged her to tag Cunningham. Lexie Hull shares a meme about tanning with Sophie Cunningham on her Instagram story.@lexiehull/Instagram Cunningham reposted it on her own story, adding the caption, "this is why I love you already." Advertisement It fit in seamlessly with the former Phoenix Mercury player's other posts on Thursday, which included a poolside selfie video showing her soaking in the sunshine as she tried to rest her injured ankle before the Fever's first game. The two new teammates became tanning partners during Indiana's preseason training camp, a fact that was exposed by a funny public exchange between Clark and Cunningham. When Clark posted her photos from media day on Instagram, Cunningham commented "the tan will come… everything else is perf." Clark had the perfect response when Cunningham posted a picture with Hull later that day. "Little less tanning. A little more bball ladies," she clapped back. Advertisement Clark's comment amassed more than 17,000 likes, a nod of recognition for the growing chemistry of Indiana's backcourt trio as the WNBA season arrives.
