Lily Allen's Plane Seat Was Covered In Toenails
It's fair to say that airplanes are objectively gross places, with most lucky to feel the touch of an antibacterial wipe once a month — despite countless different people coughing, sneezing, and who knows what else all over them daily. However, Lily Allen's recent transatlantic flight might just take the crown when it comes to public transport grossness, with the British singer revealing that her seat was covered in somebody's toenail clippings when she boarded. And if I have to know about this story, then you do, too. Speaking on Monday's episode of her podcast Miss Me?, Lily told her co-host, Miquita Oliver: 'When I flew back here, to England from New York, it was on a different airline than I normally go on, and I noticed there was a toenail in the bit next to the thing, and then I noticed one, and then I kept seeing them.' Lily did not reveal which airline she was flying with, and explained that staff were unable to relocate her — and left her to clean up the mess herself.'I asked the guy, I was like: 'Can I move seats because somebody's been clipping their fucking toenails in this seat?' And he was like: 'I'm sorry, we're completely fully booked,' oversubscribed, or whatever,' Lily went on. 'And I was like: 'Can I have a sick bag and some wipes then, so I can clean these toenails up?'' 'He came back with two wipes and a sick bag, and I cleaned up the toenails that I had in my field of vision, shall we say,' she continued. 'Then I went to put them, the sick bag, down in the storage bit or whatever, once it was all sealed, folded up, and then I saw, in the cupholder, another three toenails.' 'I was like: 'Whoever was sitting in this seat was taking the fucking piss!'' Lily exclaimed. 'Anyway, I cleaned up those, I went to sleep, and when I woke up, the manager of the whole flight was looming over me, and she was like: 'I'm sorry, madam,' and I basically got comped the flight. They gave me enough airmails to buy a whole new flight.' 'Toenails!' Lily concluded. 'What is wrong with people, seriously?!' Not gonna lie, Miquita's reaction here sums the whole thing up pretty nicely. Anyway, I think I speak for everyone when I say that the airmiles were the least the airline could do in that situation, and Lily definitely handled it way better than I would have. Directed by Matthew Dunster, she is the first to star in the new re-imagined show. The role is described as 'the hoop through which every actress with her eye on greatness must jump.' Ingrid Bergman, Peggy Ashcroft, Maggie Smith, Diana Rigg, Cate Blanchett, Glenda Jackson and Rosamund Pike have all played Ibsen's manipulative, tragic heroine Hedda. Lily Allen horrified listeners on her Miss Me? podcast when she shared the 'disgusting' time she found toenails on her seat during her flight to New York. The singer, 40, left her podcast co-host Miquita Oliver, 41, physically disgusted when she recounted the horrifying plane story. She said: 'I flew back here from England to New York on a different airline than I normally go on and I noticed there was a toenail in the bit next to the thing. James Norton has sparked fresh rumours of a romance with socialite Flora Huddart – just weeks after he partied with singer and actress Lily Allen at a festival. The actor, 40, was pictured with Ms Huddart for the first time on a stroll in north London at the weekend. Happy Valley star Norton was casually dressed in a black T-shirt, khaki shorts, neon green socks, trainers and cap, while Ms Huddart wore a red top with loose trousers. Moment man and woman shoplifters steal BABY clothes from one of Kate Middleton's favourite boutiques
A man and woman were caught on camera stealing baby clothes from a London boutique adored by the Princess of Wales. Blue Almonds on Walton Street, South Kensington, shared CCTV footage on social media in a desperate bid to catch the pair of thieves after they took several garments without paying. In the shocking clip, the man is seen discreetly stuffing three pieces of blue clothing down his shorts while pretending to pick dropped items off the floor. Making sure no one is looking, the thief - who is dressed in all black - shoves a tiny outfit down his clothes, before placing what looks like a baby hat in his pocket and then another item down his shorts. He then casually walks towards the door, waves goodbye to shopkeepers and strolls off. Meanwhile, a woman he is with - dressed in a white summer dress and sliders - promptly follows him out the door, looking back as she makes her exit. Blue Almonds, one of London's most exclusive - and expensive - baby stores, is a favourite of Princess Catherine, who has purchased items from the boutique for her own children. Kate and her mother Carole Middleton bought a £295 wicker basket for Prince George a few weeks before his birth. When visiting the boutique in April 2013, Kate and Carole spent up to an hour browsing the Moses baskets on sale, before purchasing a large white wicker version. Blue Almonds' previous clients are also said to include famous popstar Lily Allen. After the recent theft, Blue Almonds posted the ordeal on social media in a bid to catch the stealing duo. 'Please share this footage [...] it could help identify the individuals involved and increase the chances of them being caught,' they wrote. 'We were unfortunate to experience theft at our boutique, something that thankfully doesn't happen often, but it's still upsetting.' The boutique added: 'As a public service, we're sharing this footage to raise awareness and help warn other businesses in the area to stay extra cautious. We will forward all information to the police.'
