DETROIT, May 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In a milestone year marking four decades of community service, the Little Caesars Love Kitchen rolled through its hometown of Detroit, providing free, hot pizza slices to thousands of people in need over the last several months. This year's annual Detroit stops were especially significant as the brand celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Love Kitchen program. Recently, at Durfee Elementary-Middle School, the Little Caesars Love Kitchen proudly served its four millionth guest—a powerful moment that underscored the Love Kitchen's mission to serve love, comfort, and hot pizza to those who need it most. Throughout its 2025 hometown tour, the Love Kitchen visited numerous community organizations across Detroit and its suburbs, including Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, the Salvation Army, Central United Methodist Church, St. Patrick Center, SAY Detroit, Boys & Girls Club, Michigan Veterans Foundation, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, COTS, Make-A-Wish Michigan, and several first responder locations. The program has brought its mobile pizza kitchen to all 48 contiguous U.S. states and four Canadian provinces, serving pizza with warmth, care, and a sense of dignity. The Love Kitchen also partnered with the NFL for a memorable event during the NFL Draft in Green Bay. Together, they visited the New Community Shelter, where guests were served a celebratory pizza lunch, bringing smiles, full stomachs, and a continued commitment to community. 'This year, as we reflect on 40 years of service and celebrate serving our 4 millionth guest, we're reminded of what the Love Kitchen truly represents,' said David Scrivano, CEO of Little Caesars. 'It's not just about pizza—it's about showing up for our communities and sharing a slice of love when it's needed most. That mission is only possible because of the people who power it.' Over the past four decades, more than 50,000 Little Caesars franchise owners, team members, and colleagues have generously donated their time, food, and labor to support Love Kitchen servings in the neighborhoods where the brand operates. Their passion and dedication are what keep the wheels turning—literally and figuratively—on this long-running initiative. Costco Members Say This Popular Frozen Food Tastes Just Like Little Caesars' Pepperoni Crazy Puffs
Seemingly by accident, Costco shoppers have discovered yet another delicious dupe. On Reddit this week, a fan of the warehouse hopped on the website to rave about The Pizza Cupcake, a savory item that can be found in the frozen foods section at Costco. In their post, they admitted that the snack was "pretty tasty." And if The Pizza Cupcake sounds familiar that's likely because the frozen food made its television debut on the reality competition show, Shark Tank. On the show, the creators of The Pizza Cupcake were able to successfully secure an investment from Lori Greiner. Related: Despite this TV fame, in the comments section of the Reddit post, The Pizza Cupcake received plenty of comparisons to Little Caesars' fan-favorite Pepperoni Crazy Puffs. The puffs, which come four-per-order, are hand-held pizzas with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and pizza sauce topped with a buttery-garlic flavored drizzle, Italian herb and parmesan seasoning. One person pointed out that given the cost of The Pizza Cupcakes, Little Caesars might be the better option given that they're freshly-made. "12 for 11.89 puts them at $1/unit. Little Caesar's sells them for the same price and they are fresh made," they wrote. And there were plenty of other comments referencing Little Caesars. Related: "Im more blown away by that price lol so its essentially Little Caesars pizza puffs but only 11 cents cheaper for the same count??" read one comment. "Lil Caesar makes them now," another person chimed in. There was one person who flat out stated that the The Pizza Cupcake is "not worth it." Would you be willing to give The Pizza Cupcake a shot or are you sticking with Little Caesars Pepperoni Crazy Puffs? Kittle also talks about his partnership with Little Caesars. All-Pro tight end George Kittle has signed a major contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers that will net him $76.4 million over four years. The deal, first reported by FanDuel's "Bussin' With The Boys," comes with $40 million guaranteed, including a $35 million signing bonus, and will make him the NFL's highest-paid tight end. Kittle did not report for the start of the team's voluntary workouts last week, fueling speculation that he was holding out for a new contract. However, he was in attendance with his teammates on Friday, an indication that talks had potentially taken a positive turn. The eight-year veteran will have the four additional years tacked onto his existing contract, potentially keeping him in San Francisco through the 2029 season. With the Kittle extension complete, the Niners will now turn their attention to completing a new deal with quarterback Brock Purdy.

Mother describes horrifying moments as she watched her SUV burst into flames along GA 400
A local mother says she is grateful to be alive after her SUV caught fire. Amy Strauss said she watched as her vehicle burned in the middle of Georgia 400. Since then, Strauss told Channel 2's Michael Seiden that she feels like she is still living in a never-ending nightmare. 'I kept thinking, 'That's not my car. Surely, that's not my car. It's supposed to be a safe family vehicle,'' Strauss said after her 2023 Subaru Ascent broke down in the middle of Georgia 400. It then erupted into flames. 'Even to this day, I cannot stop thinking about what if I had the kids with me in the car?' Strauss said. The wife and mother-of-two was headed to pick up her kids from school on March 18, when all of a sudden her SUV died in the middle of the highway near the Northridge Road exit in Sandy Springs. 'All of the warning lights came on in the car and the car completely died,' Strauss said. Her husband told her to call 911 and the dispatcher helped her get out safely. 'That super brief four-minute call I think, effectively saved my life.' As soon as she stepped out… 'I was stunned to see smoke pouring out of the engine,' Strauss said. 'The tires blew. There were a lot of noises, and then within seconds, it was completely engulfed.' Strauss said she watched helplessly as the fire melted her Subaru. Thankfully, her children were still at school. 'I think the time that I would've needed to unbuckle my young kids would've been too late,' Strauss said. She told Seiden that it's been more than a month since she reported what happened to Subaru, but still hasn't gotten a definitive answer. 'I would have thought that Subaru would have immediately come to our aid and just provided some kind of solution,' Strauss said. Strauss said that Subaru issued a recall in 2022 on more than 250,000 Ascent vehicles due to an increased fire risk. Seiden emailed and called Subaru's corporate office to see if there is a bigger problem, but he has not heard back.
