WeHo Pride 2025: Everything you need to know
After L.A. Pride moved out of West Hollywood and into Hollywood, WeHo Pride made its grand debut, and now L.A. is lucky enough to have two inclusive festivals celebrating the city's LGBTQ+ community, which means double the fun. (Luckily they take place over different weekends, so you won't have to choose one over the other.) Since 2022, WeHo Pride has quickly come into its own as an essential Pride Month event, with its own music festival and parade set amid the city's iconic gay bars and clubs. Read on for everything you need to know about WeHo Pride and the WeHo Pride Parade—and lots more major Pride Month events across Los Angeles—plus our favorite party spots for divas and drag queens alike. What is WeHo Pride? And when is it? Though Christopher Street West may have moved L.A. Pride east, West Hollywood still holds its own celebration on the former site of the event. The bulk of WeHo Pride takes place in and around West Hollywood Park (647 N San Vicente Blvd). WeHo Pride is officially a monthlong affair that kicks off on May 22 with a celebration of Harvey Milk Day and the WeHo Pride Arts Festival (May 23–25) and lasts all of Pride Month, until June 30. But the star of the show is WeHo Pride Weekend, which coincides with an accompanying music fest dubbed OUTLOUD. That takes place from May 30 to June 1 this year. Lizzo, Paris Hilton, Remi Wolf, Kim Petras and Shygirl are headlining the OUTLOUD main stage, with additional performances by Shygirl Presents: Club Shy, Pabllo Vittar, Rebecca Black, Empress Of and more. Meanwhile, the SUMMERTRAMP stage, a 'sun-soaked party and dance oasis,' will feature both live performances and DJ sets, with Honey Dijon, Horse Meat Disco, salute and Meredith Marks topping the lineup. All of this follows a free night of music on Friday, where Grammy-winning country-turned-pop star Maren Morris will perform, as well as Qveen Herby, Jamie Fine and more (you can RSVP to secure a spot here). Friday night will also feature the return of the Drag Queen Lip Sync Battle Royale. In addition to the weekend's musical lineup, there's plenty happening off-stage as well—namely the free WeHo Pride Street Fair along Santa Monica Boulevard, between Hancock and La Peer, on Saturday and Sunday (noon–8pm). The fair hosts its own live entertainment and performances on a community stage. You'll also find the Women's Freedom Festival (noon–5:30pm) and motorcycle-led Dyke March (6–7pm) on Saturday, May 31. When is the WeHo Pride Parade? Then, on Sunday, June 1, WeHo Pride will hold a parade that starts at Santa Monica Boulevard and North Crescent Heights Boulevard at noon, then heads west on Santa Monica to San Vicente Boulevard (right at West Hollywood Park). Expect a colorful procession of floats, bands, dance teams, marchers and special guests to make their way along the mile-long route.

Lizzo's New Single Finally Becomes A Hit, With Some Help From A Major Pop Star
Lizzo's 'Still Bad' debuts at No. 11 on Digital Song Sales after a duet with Kelly Clarkson, marking ... More her first chart hit in over a year. ROSKILDE, DENMARK - JULY 01: Lizzo performs at Roskilde Festival 2023 on July 01, 2023 in Roskilde, Denmark. (Photo by Joseph Okpako/WireImage) It's been well over two months since Lizzo released her most recent single, "Still Bad." The track was a commercial disappointment in its earliest days, as the singer, songwriter and rapper was surely hoping it would become a major hit and kick off her latest album campaign, as she's currently hyping the world for her forthcoming Love in Real Life. But sadly, that didn't turn out to be the case. Long after the tune was shared with the public, it finally becomes a bestseller in America, thanks to an assist from another one of the most successful women in pop music. "Still Bad" debuts at No. 11 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart this week. That tally ranks the bestselling cuts on platforms like iTunes and Amazon, and this time around, that includes Lizzo's most recent offering. Luminate reports that in the past tracking period, "Still Bad" sold just under 2,700 copies. "Still Bad" may be new to the Digital Song Sales chart, but as mentioned, it's not actually very new as far as pop music goes. Lizzo's cut experiences a 286% gain in pure purchases from one frame to the next. Just days ago, it ended a tracking period with 700 sales — and the following stint, it adds about 2,000 to that sum. "Still Bad" experiences such a boom after Kelly Clarkson invited Lizzo onto her daytime talk show to perform the tune. The singers turned it into a duet earlier this month, but it's Lizzo who enjoys the spoils on the Billboard rankings, as Clarkson doesn't earn credit on the cut. "Still Bad" earns Lizzo her twelfth placement on the Digital Song Sales tally, and her first since 2023. In August of that year, "Pink," the song she wrote and recorded for the Barbie soundtrack, peaked at No. 22. "Still Bad" has already been present on one Billboard ranking for more than two months. This frame, it drops seven spaces to No. 37 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart in its tenth stay on that radio roster. The tune previously peaked at No. 21.

Why Lizzo refuses to reveal how much weight she's lost following rumors that she shed as much as 500lbs
Lizzo has opened up about her drastic weight loss and shared the real reason she believes that she was criticized for being curvy. During an appearance on The Jason Lee Show, the 37-year-old refused to reveal the exact number of pounds she lost, but did claim that she was bullied for her curves due to her confidence as a plus-sized woman. 'I think it was crazy to people because I was fat,' she stated. 'The shocking factor was that people couldn't believe that someone that looked like me was confident,' she said. Host Jason Lee responded, 'you were cute when you were bigger', before Lizzo fired back, 'I was fine as f**k!' When pressed to reveal exactly how much weight loss she's lost on her journey, the singer cagily responded, 'If I say the number, I don't think people could do the math.' She continued, 'I've just seen a lot of TikToks where it's like, "Lizzo talks about her 500lbs weight loss!" Why are y'all putting numbers on me? It kind of annoys me.' In January, the singer - who has denied using Ozempic - proudly announced that she had achieved her weight loss goal. On Instagram at the time, she shared: 'I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. 'I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!' And during an episode of the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast, Lizzo explained how she uses the term 'weight release' instead of weight loss. She credited her boyfriend Myke Wright and explained, 'My man, he's so funny. He was the one that brought it to my attention at first. Because at first I was like, "Oh my gosh I lost five pounds" and he was like, "Where did it go?" 'I was mad at him, I was like, "Why would he say that?" but he was like, "Where did it go?"' The Good As Hell hitmaker further explained that she did not want to 'lose anything' but instead wanted to 'win.' Lizzo expressed, 'I want to be very intentional about the words that come out of my mouth because there's young people who are watching me and they're experiencing what I'm putting into the world. 'They're applying it to their own experience and their own life just like I did when I was a kid.' The star then got candid about 'how the media treated people who gained and lost weight' had an effect on her 'brain chemistry'. 'Be careful with your words because it can affect somebody in ways you don't even know,' she warned. The performer added, 'Even me releasing the weight has affected people and I take that seriously. I take that responsibility. 'And because of that I want to transmute it into something that makes people feel comfortable and less afraid of it.' During an interview with the New York Times last year in March, Lizzo told the outlet, 'I've been methodical, losing weight very slowly. In regards to shedding weight, Lizzo admitted, 'I don't really see it because if anyone who's on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don't really notice it until you notice it.'

Lizzo Puts Her Extreme Weight Loss On Display As She Declares 'Summer Has Begun'
has been turning heads with her striking transformation, proudly showcasing her slimmer figure while promoting her Yitty swimwear line on Instagram. In April, the singer opened up about her 'intentional weight release journey,' stressing her continued stance against fatphobia and reminding fans that personal growth often happens beyond the spotlight. Lizzo also recently called out critics who claimed she had become "skinny," noting that she is still "big" as she is "well over 200 pounds." On Friday, Lizzo proudly flaunted her noticeably slimmer figure as she treated her 11 million Instagram followers to new sizzling snaps. The singer used the moment to spotlight her fashion line, Yitty, while showing off bold swimwear styles. In one post, she rocked a sparkling blue bikini that highlighted her transformed physique, pairing it with denim shorts and lace-up heels. '@YITTY SWIM IS 60% OFF ALL WEEKEND,' she teased in the caption. In another vibrant look, Lizzo layered a yellow patterned bikini over the blue one and completed the ensemble with a striking platinum blonde wig. 'YITTY GRRRL SUMMER HAS BEGUN,' she declared with confidence. Her brand, Yitty, is positioned as 'a new era of Intimates, lounge, and shapewear for sizes XS to 6X.' Since its debut in April 2022, the brand has seen impressive growth, amassing a following of over 700,000 fans. To hit things up further, Lizzo proved to fans why she is considered a rapper by many, as she dropped a sizzling video of herself rapping for Memorial Day weekend. Since the start of her weight loss journey, some of Lizzo's fans have felt somewhat betrayed due to the singer's past remarks about body positivity. Critics have also claimed that Lizzo has become "skinny" to fit the image of what the music industry seemingly demands from a pop star like her. However, during a recent appearance on "The Breakfast Club," the singer slammed critics who say she's "skinny now," noting that she's "big." On the show, she opened up about her "weight release" journey, emphasizing that she is still a "big" girl. "I think I had to start with cleaning out my mind and my energy and clearing out all of the negativity around me. And I feel like I released so much I was holding on," Lizzo said. "I do call it a weight release because [when] it started, I got snatched here first. And then my body just followed suit, so I do feel amazing." She also pushed back when Charlamagne Tha God said he doesn't consider her "big" anymore. "I am big," she said. "What we talking about? Baby, I'm big." "The Internet is like, 'Oh, Lizzo's skinny now,'" Lizzo noted. "I am well over 200 pounds, do you know what I'm saying? I'm 5-foot-9. I got double-numbered pants on now." On Thursday, Lizzo sparked buzz online after unveiling a striking new look with fans doing double-takes, due to her resemblance to Beyoncé. In a carousel of images, the 'About Damn Time' hitmaker channeled old Hollywood glam with a sleek, platinum blonde lace-front wig. "Just a girl & her blonde era," she captioned the post. She even included a side-by-side photo of Beyoncé to emphasize the likeness, noting their shared radiant glam, flawless makeup, and icy waves cascading around their faces. Fans flooded the comments with praise, with one writing, "These pictures are giving me life. Pressing towards my weight loss journey.' Another chimed in, 'I swear, the moment I saw the photo, I thought it was Bey. I love my divas.' A third supporter added, 'Way to go Lizzo, looking great, hopefully feeling better, stay blessed, keep up the amazing work.' Lizzo previously surprised fans at this year's Met Gala by debuting her striking 'blonde era' look, opting for a bold last-minute hairstyle switch. She traded her usual dark locks for a platinum blonde, shoulder-length wig styled in soft waves, crafted by hairstylist Jstayready using Red by Kiss products and Vivace by Kiss extensions. Complementing her hair, Lizzo wore a dramatic smoky eye and bold lip, paired with a stunning black-and-white Christian Siriano gown. According to designer Christian Siriano, Lizzo's Met Gala ensemble came together in a whirlwind three-day sprint. He revealed to a news outlet that there was 'not an ounce of stretch in anything in this fabric and probably 200 seams.' Siriano emphasized the care and intention behind the look, noting that 'celebrating [Lizzo's] curves was really important.' Earlier this year, fans were taken aback by Lizzo's noticeably slimmer appearance when she dropped 'Love In Real Life,' the lead single from her upcoming album. By April, the singer opened up about her transformation on Jay Shetty's 'On Purpose' podcast, describing it as a 'weight release journey.' 'I have been on an intentional weight release journey,' she said. 'I put it on the internet. I posted about it, and I think over the last year and a half, as I've been doing it, my body has been changing — very slowly — but I don't think people were paying attention.' Despite the shift in appearance, Lizzo emphasized her stance remains the same: 'I was still very anti-fatphobia on this entire journey. But I think that we gotta remember: everybody's not seeing your sh-t all the time, everybody's not seeing every video you post, everybody's not privy to what you're going through.'
