2 dead in ‘possible' murder-suicide in Lorain
[Watch in the player above: What happens when you call 911?] LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) — Lorain police are investigating after two people were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds in a 'possible' murder-suicide. Concerned relatives called officers for a welfare check at the home in the 200 block of West 29th Street just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, according to a Sunday news release. Willowick Police investigating after teen was shot in the chest: I-Team Officers were given a key and went inside to find 63-year-old Anthony Coonrod and 30-year-old Emily Simmons both dead, according to the release. A preliminary investigation suggests their deaths may have been a murder-suicide, according to the release. Officers are not seeking any other suspects at this time. Man shot, killed inside doorway of Lorain home Saturday morning
*Attached video: Cleveland crime by the numbers LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) – A man was shot and killed inside the doorway of a Lorain home early Saturday morning. According to a press release from the Lorain Police Department, Officers responded to a shooting at a home on Homewood Drive, just before 5 a.m. New York Fire Department responding to injuries after ship collides with Brooklyn Bridge At the scene, the officer found 48-year-old Clayton Parker lying unresponsive just inside the front door of the home. According to the release, Parker had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations found that Parker may have been attempting to break into the home. Once he entered, at least one person inside the home allegedly shot him with a 'legally owned firearm,' the release said. The Lorain Police Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Lorain County Coroner's Office are now investigating the shooting. Wayne Dawson shares update on cancer journey At this time, no arrests or criminal charges have been made. Multiple firearms were taken as evidence, the release said. Contraband was found at an Ohio jail last week.
