BJP Minority Morcha chief claims ‘muslims are descendants of Ram'

The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Minority Morcha, Jamal Siddiqui, speaking to India Today, on Wednesday claimed that Sanatan Dharma is the foundation of Indian civilization and that Muslims who do not acknowledge Lord Ram and Lord Krishna cannot be considered true Muslims.'Sanatan Dharma came much before Islam. It is the foundation of our civilization,' Siddiqui said, emphasising the ancient roots of Indian culture. He further argued that Islamic teachings support the idea of shared heritage, pointing to the belief in multiple Islam, we believe in not just one prophet but many. The Quran mentions only 25 prophets, but Hadiths and Islamic tradition say there were 1,24,000 prophets sent to different parts of the world. How can we say Lord Ram and Lord Krishna were not among them? They may well have been our messengers of God,' he further explained. Siddiqui's remarks extended to a bold claim that 'All Muslims are descendants of Lord Ram.'He elaborated, 'We changed our method of worship, not our culture. Our identity is still Sanatani.'Must Watch

UP Court Dismisses Plea Against Rahul Gandhi Over Remarks On Lord Ram

Varanasi: An MP-MLA court here on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his alleged remarks on Lord Ram during a speech at a US university last month. Advocate Harishankar Pandey, who filed the petition, said that his plea was rejected by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neeraj Kumar Tripathi, who deemed it "non-maintainable". The court cited that as per the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023, prior permission from the central or state government, or the district magistrate, is mandatory in such cases, Mr Pandey said. The lawyer said he would now seek permission from the district magistrate and file the petition again. A complaint in the matter was filed in the court on May 12 with Mr Pandey alleging that Gandhi during his speech at Brown University had described Lord Ram as a "mythological and fictional figure". Mr Pandey also demanded that an FIR be lodged under the relevant penal provisions. Mr Pandey had termed it a "hate speech" that hurt the sentiments of "Sanatanis".

"The armed forces gave a befitting reply..": Manoj Muntashir on Operation Sindoor, its significance

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 23 (ANI): Renowned lyricist and screenwriter Manoj Muntashir talked about Operation Sindoor and its significance. He also shared his views on multi-party delegations visiting international capitals to brief the global community about its significance and reaffirmed India's firm stance against cross-border terrorism. Speaking to the media, he said, 'Questions were raised on Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, so today if questions are being raised on Operation Sindoor, I am not surprised. For the first time, I have seen the entire nation come under the national flag. The armed forces gave a befitting reply to the terrorist attack. When will we celebrate it, or will we keep on raising questions?... We should celebrate the valour of the armed does not mean that the Operation Sindoor has Pakistan does not give up its cowardice, then Operation Sindoor may end only after the destruction of Pakistan..' He spoke about multi-party delegation that aims to brief international partners on India's response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its broader fight against cross-border terrorism while engaging with leaders in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore. 'if there was no all-party delegation and there was a delegation of one party, then the question was I am laughing at the fact that when everyone was sent after consulting all the parties and we selected some delegates who will keep our side on the international forum, I am not able to find any issue.. Why does anyone complain,' he added. The all-party delegation projects India's national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It will convey to the world the country's strong message of zero tolerance for terrorism. India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 as a decisive military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the death of over 100 terrorists affiliated with terror outfits like the Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul the attack, Pakistan retaliated with cross-border shelling across the Line of Control and Jammu and Kashmir as well as attempted drone attacks along the border regions, following which India launched a coordinated attack and damaged radar infrastructure, communication centres and airfields across 11 airbases in Pakistan. After this, on May 10, an understanding of the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan was announced. (ANI)
