As One Grey's Anatomy Couple Weds, Another Breaks Up — and a Third Relationship Lands on Life Support

The penultimate Season 21 episode of Grey's Anatomy was — sorry, Dickens — the best of times, the worst of times. On one hand, it was Jo and Link's wedding day. On the other, young Dylan remained in a bad way that only got worse. In addition, while Nora managed to pose a new threat to Teddy and Owen's future, Lucas huffed and puffed that he and Simone didn't have one. Read on for all the details… JO HIT THE MOTHER LODE | As 'Love You Like a Love Song' began, tensions flared between Jo and her future mother-in-law, Maureen (guest star Bess Armstrong). Link's mom was eager to help but only in ways that the bride didn't want — like doing her makeup so that she resembled, in her words, '1983 Boy George' and offering up a giant veil that could've been a prop from The Last Showgirl. Since Jo had never had one of those, she was unaware that this was occasionally the aggravating manner in which they showed love. With Levi's reassurance, Jo blurted out to Maureen that she didn't want the makeup or the headdress… although she did so more loudly than she ideally would have liked. Meanwhile, Link, who was working at Grey Sloan — yes, on his wedding day — let Bailey get in his head about the fact that he couldn't just 'wing it' when it came to reciting vows to his bride. Off Bailey's advice, he attempted to write something heartfelt the same way that he might post-op notes. That being an epic fail, Bailey suggested that he instead 'say how you feel in your own way.' Like it's that easy! TEDDY OPERATED ON NORA | Back from what sounded like a highly therapeutic vacation in Hawaii, Owen and Teddy had the glow of newlyweds. She didn't even ask to be taken off of the case of her husband's one-night stand, Nora, who was back in the hospital with an infected graft. Alas, the long-shot procedure that she and Winston attempted to perform on the patient failed; their only option was to recommend palliative care. On Teddy's way to Jo and Link's nuptials, she broke the news to Owen, who while still on duty, attempted to comfort Megan's childhood bestie. 'I know I shouldn't say this, but I'm dying so I have a pass now,' Nora told him. 'I think I'm a little bit in love with you.' By the time Teddy and Winston left the reception with a radical new idea that might save Nora, Owen was in her bed looking much cozier than his wife would've preferred. LUCAS DUMPED SIMONE | Throughout the hour, Lucas seized every opportunity to use Dylan's worsening condition as an excuse to give Simone the cold shoulder. At first, the child could only communicate by blinking; by the end, she couldn't even do that. Finally, outside of Jo and Link's wedding venue, Simone actually had to tell Lucas that she hadn't been rooting against Dylan, she'd just been being realistic. For his part, Lucas didn't see what was wrong with hoping for the best. That, Simone countered, was because he got bailed out every time he took a risk that didn't work out; not everybody was that lucky. That remark really stung. So Lucas decided that it was his turn to be realistic, and the reality was that he and Simone didn't have a future together. LINK RELEASED THE SONG IN HIS HEART | Before the wedding got underway, Jo stole a moment with Maureen to apologize and explain why it had been so alien to her to be mothered. The hatchet buried, the ceremony started with Levi walking his pal down the aisle. When it came time for the vows, swoon! Link sang his, and they were as cute and funny as they were romantic and sweet! 'How,' asked the bride, 'am I supposed to follow that?!?' As the hour drew to a close, Jules, high from Richard letting her perform an ostomy, informed Winston that she wasn't mad anymore that he didn't seem to want her on his service. The day had opened her eyes to other possibilities, and she wanted to explore them all! Finally, a devastated Simone was at Joe's Bar drowning her sorrows when she was hit on by a handsome stranger (Grown-ish's Trevor Jackson). Before the credits rolled, they were getting both hot and heavy! Grey's Anatomy's Most Memorable Moments View List So, Link's vows — best ever? Grey's Anatomy Preview: Will Link and Jo ‘I Do' It Right On Their Wedding Day? — Plus, [Spoiler]'s Back

Grey's Anatomy Preview: Will Link and Jo 'I Do' It Right On Their Wedding Day? — Plus, [Spoiler]'s Back You are cordially invited to the Grey's Anatomy wedding of Drs. Atticus Lincoln and Josephine Wilson, which kicks off in Thursday's episode of the ABC drama (at 10/9c). That you'll RSVP 'yes' is a given. But whether the couple will actually manage to tie the knot is an altogether different question. As you'll see in the preview below, Jake Borelli's Levi is back in Seattle to officiate the nuptials, and as you'll see in the photo below, Bess Armstrong is on hand, too, as Link's mother. More from TVLine However, there remain a couple of variables at play. For starters, the groom is working on the big day; is that bad luck? On top of that, he hasn't written any vows; that's gotta be bad luck. ('You do you,' Bailey cracks.) ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement Meanwhile, Amelia offers reassurance in the case of young patient Dylan that 'sometimes things get worse before they get better.' But the little girl's mom (guest star Piper Perabo) ain't buying it. Somehow, Lucas turns Dylan's care into something new over which he and Simone can fight. Not necessarily a great idea, considering that the episode — Season 21's penultimate — marks the debut of Grown-ish's Trevor Jackson as (I'll wager) the intern who fills Grey Sloan's opening. Finally, per the officially logline for 'Love You Like a Love Song,' Teddy and Owen are asked to offer treatment to a familiar face. Could Nora already have learned that she's pregnant from the one night that Altman and Hunt's marriage was open? Hit the comments with your predictions. Who's Teddy and Owen's patient? Do Link and Jo manage to get married? Does Dylan recover? And do Amelia and Monica ever kiss? Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Honor the Dying Art of Mall Photography

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." For us millennials, prom pictures remind us of cheesy poses, cringy outfits, and very low-res images. It's nostalgic. Benny Blanco certainly thought so too, when he treated fiancée Selena Gomez to a mall prom photo shoot complete with a blue textured background draping behind them and corny props. While others were busy dancing to 'Love You Like a Love Song' back in the mid 2000s, Gomez was busy singing it, so she didn't get to go to prom, or really have a normal school experience. To give her a little taste of the prom magic, Blanco threw a prom for him and Gomez for his birthday. He recently told Jennifer Hudson that he actually went to two proms in high school. 'But then honestly my favorite prom was with my partner,' he said, inducing a collective 'awww' from the audience. View this post on Instagram A post shared by benny blanco (@itsbennyblanco) On Instagram, Blanco shared various photos of the day, which including a limo ride and the signature teen movie moment of Gomez walking down the stairs to show off her look. The pop star wore a poofy purple strapless gown with a high-low skirt. In a very high school move, she styled the gown with transparent black tights, black leather ankle boots (I mean, you have to be able to dance), and a black choker. Over it, she wore a cropped black fur jacket. Blanco went for a classic tux and loafers with a heart on them. 'It was more fun than either of us expected it to be...' Blanco wrote over a video of them posing for cute and silly shots during the photo session. They even opted for the pedestal prop, which we know was a premium package add-on. We hope they got Auntie Anne's after, because you might as well while you're there. You Might Also Like Here's What NOT to Wear to a Wedding Meet the Laziest, Easiest Acne Routine You'll Ever Try

Selena Gomez Seemingly Clarifies New Album With Benny Blanco Is Not About Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez seemingly clarified that the songs from her and fiancé Benny Blanco's new album, I Said I Love You First, were not about her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, despite what fans might think. 'Anytime I release anything the interpretation is going to be up to the audience. However, I would like to say that most of this album has nothing to do with what everyone may go to,' Selena, 32, said during an interview alongside Benny, 37, for Spotify's Countdown To I Said I Love You First on Wednesday, March 19. 'I've evolved so much and I have experienced life with new people. I've had to go through transitions with friends and lose people in my life and gain new people and I've had a whole new life forever. So, it's up for whatever people want, but to me it was about both of our pasts and our history and also just inspired by friends and relationships.' Selena said that while the interpretation of her songs was 'for whatever people want,' but for her it was about both hers and Benny's 'past' and their 'history.' The 'Love You Like a Love Song' singer continued, 'Some songs were actually meant about friendships in my life, and I think that's what, to me, the album was about. I just wanted to get that out there because that was very important to me.' Upon the album's release, fans rushed to dissect the lyrics of her new tracks and they believed a few songs were traced back to her relationship with Justin, 31. In 'You Said You Were Sorry,' Selena sings about an unnamed ex, "Don't think about you/Happy without you/More now than I ever was.' She continues in the chorus, "But I had a dream/You said you were sorry, said you were sorry/Sorry for everything/That you put on me, that you put on me/Our eyes were bawling rain/We finally both forgave ya/I had a dream, that's all it was/Yeah, that was enough for me." Other songs from I Said I Love You First that perked fans' ears up were 'How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten' and 'Don't Wanna Cry.' 'Selena Gomez dropping an entire album shading Justin Bieber is exactly what i'd do if i was a singer,' wrote one fan on X. Another person added, 'Selena Gomez writing about Justin Bieber with her current fiancé is kinda crazy but the songs are great so.' Justin and Selena dated on and off over the course of eight years before finally calling it quits for good in 2018. That same year, the 'Love Yourself' artist began dating Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) and thus sparked an ongoing feud that consistently gets reignited by fans whenever they perceive a slight from one party or the other. Even after Justin married Hailey, 28, in 2018, the fans still weren't convinced that he had truly moved on from Selena. Selena confirmed that she and Benny were an item in December 2023, and one year later, he proposed. The Wizards of Waverly Place alum shared the good news via Instagram by showing off a photo of her ring and writing, 'Forever begins now…'
